Warrior West – LBT Inc Introduces Medical Line

Thursday, April 24th, 2014

LBT Inc has been designing and manufacturing specialized medical bags, pouches and packs since the very beginning. Shoot, one of the first pouches I purchased from LBT back in 91 was a medical pouch.

20140424-111902.jpg

They recently realized that they currently produce over 100 products specifically for medical applications. At that point, they decided to update some of the items, introduce a few new ones and launch an LBT Medical line.

I had a chance to check out several of these items including military and civilian emergency medicine applications. Look for in-depth coverage soon on SSD.

Warrior West – Cejay Engineering – CIRLS Kit

Thursday, April 24th, 2014

The CIRLS Kit is available in 5 and 10 piece versions and offers visible and IR (steady or strobe) lighting to mark LZ, HLZ and DZs.

20140424-091450.jpg

Powered by your choice of CR123 or AA batteries! In steady on mode you’re looking at 40 hours and the strobe mode, expect a light to run for about 200 hours.

The kit also come with tent stakes to hold the lights down.

One other cool feature is that there is a photo electric eye in the light that detects the ambient light level and automatically adjusts the light’s output.

Warrior West -TEA Headsets – INVISIO V60-HYBRID System

Thursday, April 24th, 2014

One of the other things that caught my eye in the TEA booth is the new INVISIO V60-HYBRID System.

20140424-080416.jpg

Designed for extreme high noise environments, the heart of this mic is a new INVISIO V60 Control with a built-in wireless module that allows users to remotely transmit on up to 2 different channels from the rail of their weapon. The V60 provides the capability of simultaneously connecting 3 different com sources (or up to 4 independant channels) and is compatibile with practically any type of 2-way radio (including the new Rifleman and MBITR2 radios), vehicle/aircraft/watercraft ICS, mobile phones or smart devices, tablets, etc.

It’s considered a hybrid design because it utilizes the INVISIO X5 dual in-ear headset with hear pro and enhanced situation awareness combined with the TEA Hybrid Rail/Lapel Mounted High Performance Boom Microphone. When connected the Hybrid Rail Boom (HRB) becomes the primary microphone for all transmissions and the advanced split audio is received in the X5 in-ear headset. The HRB utilizes a rugged high performance/noise canceling boom microphone which provides ultimate voice clarity in the most extreme high noise environments users are exposed to while operating, such as rotary wing aircraft, watercrafts or ATV’s. The rigid but flexible boom stays in place even during free fall or when exposed to high airspeeds.

Warrior West – LBT Inc Unveils Mission Adaptive Panel System

Thursday, April 24th, 2014

20140424-073325.jpg

LBT has been working on this new modular armor carrier and bag system for several months and every once in awhile something will pop up about it but this is the first time that the Mission Adaptive Panel System has been shown publicly.

20140424-074310.jpg

Right now, it consists of a weapon bag, plate carrier and several Mission Adaptive Panels. These graphics from LBT gives you a good idea of what we’re talking here.

One thing that I thought was cool is that one of the panels incorporates the S&S Precision Skeletonized Magazine Retention And Baseplate.

This is another one of the panels which incorporates rifle and pistol magazine pouches. The pistol magazine pouches feature Kydex inserts.

The MAPs can be attached via a hook and loop and SR buckle combination to the carrier or the weapon pack. Additionally, the interior of the weapon pack (seen above) is lined with pile tape to accept a wide variety of accessories.

So far, the reception has been great here at Warrior West. In production now from LBT Inc.

Warrior Expo – New Balance

The Cerakote finish is the second new color option Daniel Defense has launched this calendar year. Mil Spec +, a flat dark earth variation, was first unveiled at SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, in January. “When you look for a new car, you have substantially more color options than just black,” noted Jordan Hunter, Daniel Defense Director of Marketing. “Customers want choices other than the mil-spec Type III hard coat anodizing, or matte black, and the Daniel Defense Tornado™, we believe, will be well received by our customers.”
