ADS Federal Range Day – Angel Armor

Monday, June 15th, 2015

Relative newcomer to the market displayed their armor panels which will fit inside a vehicle door panel.

I know their website is spartan but the stiff works. The technology was initially developed in the aerospace industry where size and weight reign supreme. They’ve been refining the armor and demonstrating all over the place.

ADS Federal Range Day – High Threat Concealment Blow Out Kit

Monday, June 15th, 2015

High Threat Concealment introduced a new, smaller, version (right) of their Blowout Kit.  The additional size was created because guys wanted something less obtrusive. While it remains a quick release pouch, they’ve also introduced a lower profile fork without the high ears of the original version.

ADS Federal Range Day – TAC-WRAP from Manta Defense

Monday, June 15th, 2015

Manta Defense developed the TAC-WRAP as a roll up handguard for use with many Mil Std 1913 forends (as well as others). It not only cushions the hand from a Pic rail’s sharp edges, but the construction also absorbs shock during fire and keeps the hands cool.

Available in Tan, Green and Black.

ADS Federal Range Day – Garmin fenix 3

Monday, June 15th, 2015

Garmin has released the latest version of their wristmounted GPS. The fenix 3 features one major improvement in my opinion and that is the integration of Russian GLONASS signals to GPS. This means you’ve got access to two separate satellite constellations.

-Stainless Steel EXO antenna with GPS + GLONASS support for fast fix and accuracy
-1.2-inch sunlight readable color Chroma display
-Fitness training features like VO2 Max and Recovery Advisor (when used with a heart rate monitor¹)
-Outdoor navigation features like 3-axis compass, altimeter and barometer, TracBack and Sight’n Go
-Connect IQ compatibility for customized apps, widgets, watch faces and data
-Rechargable Lithium-Ion battery: Up to 50 hours in UltraTrac mode; up to 20 hours in GPS training mode; up to 6 weeks in watch mode
Water rated to 100m

fenix 3 is available in 3 models: gray with high-strength, scratch resistant, crystal and black band; silver with red band; and the premium sapphire model with a stainless steel band and sapphire lens.

ADS Federal Range Day – LBT Inc Project Zero Vest

Monday, June 15th, 2015

The project Zero Vest is a new design from LBT Inc that is great for undercover work.

Specifically, it was designed for zero visibility when layered under civilian clothing. It’s made from a combination of Nylon 330D MAS Grey / 4way stretch / lycra which all combine to allow for the fitting of different plates. Additionally, as you can see, it offers the use of detachable Velcro options for comms, mags, and hard plates, all removable and customizable for unique end user load out.

-Skeletonized tang beneath the rubber grip for balance
-Jimping on the thumb ramp, under the hilt, and on the pommel to improve purchase

ADS Federal Range Day – Vertx 37.5 Combat Shirt

Monday, June 15th, 2015

Keeping in line with an LE focus, we bring you the new Vertx 37.5 Combat Shirt.

Incorporating 37.5 fabric (formerly known as Cocona), the new 37.5 Combat Shirt is built for comfort. The material is inherently breathable, quick drying and cools quickly due to its wicking properties in high relative humidity.

They also engineered the fabric to mitigate picking, where threads often poke out of the garment, particularly when rubbed by Velcro. They’ve woven an extra line in the fabric’s grid that is easily pulled back into place in the event of a pick.

Other comfort features include running the 37.5 material up into the armpits as well as padded micro side in the neck. Additionally, the neck placket was widened as the zipper is meant to be worn half down, as a convertible collar.

In addition to a two-pen slot on the left forearm, the Combat Shirt’s sleeve pockets also have pen pockets, but inside the outer flap of the pocket. Naturally, the shirt also features reinforced elbows and the sleeve width is the same from the elbow down to the end of the sleeve so it can be easily rolled up.

Available in Green, Black, Desert Tan and Smoke Grey. Coming soon, Kryptek
Highlander and Typhon.

Launching Mid June, 2015 from www.wearvertx.com.
