Our camouflage face paints which come in different sizes and tones are made from natural ingredients, are infrared reflective, sweat proof and provide a high protection factor from the sun. We look forward to welcoming visitors to our stand who want to test out our range of camouflage creams.”

SHOT Show – PWS / Direct Action

Friday, January 22nd, 2016

PWS is hosting Poland’s own Direct Action in their booth #7203.  They’ve had some bags out for awhile but last year they started completely revamping their line.  I got a chance to check their new stuff out at a private viewing during MiliPol and I was blown away with their attention to detail and innovative design.

This is their first public showing anywhere.  If you are at SHOT Show you need to check it out.

SHOT Show – Australian Defence Apparel

Friday, January 22nd, 2016

ADA builds seven different packs for the Australian Defence Forces.  One of the issues with the current frame is that it isn’t adjustable for the full range of sizes of Soldiers.

ADA developed the One-99 frame to accommodate the 1% through 99th% body.  This external frame is adjustable itself and has multiple attachment points for the harness offering an amazing number of sizing options. Additionally, the frame can be adjusted to fit the load for such instances where a dense load, of small volume where the user wants a  more compact frame length.

The Patented One-99 has also been issued NSN 8465-66-163-0153 by the ADF.

SHOT Show – SOCET GXP by BAE Systems

Friday, January 22nd, 2016

BAE Systems is working to bring the software used to produce customized Gridded Reference Graphics to the first responder and LE communities. In particular, they want to prepare products to support counter active shooter operations.

The software can also be used by investigators and prosecutors to recreate crime scenes. Data sets can come from a wide variety of sources. For example, the parking lot image in the graphic above was taken by a DSLR from a state police helo. They later mensurated the image using the software.

Now the exciting part. It will run on a mobile device. You don’t have to hand out hard copies.

This product is available through www.unifireusa.com.

SHOT Show – Yeti Coolers

Friday, January 22nd, 2016

Yeti has introduced three new kitchen-grade steel bottles.

Offered in 18, 36 and 64 oz models, the cap handles are large enough to get multiple fingers in for carriage.  Additionally, they’ve introduced a double gasket system that keeps the liquid for days.  This isn’t a backpacker’s bottle.  It’s designed for working folks who normally destroy gear.  Look for these mid-Spring.

The softsided Hopper is now available in a 40 quart version.  A perfect pair for use with it, is the Yeti ice.  It’s shatter proof, packs efficiently, is colder and lasts longer than traditional ice.  Plus, it’s reusable.
