DirtMonkey Puts Unbreakable IronLace To The Test

Thursday, April 7th, 2016

It’s been a little while since we last had anything on IronLace on SSD. A recent email from an industry contact about a video featuring IronLace gave us the perfect opportunity for a reintroduction. Said video (above) shows Stanley of NY-based Dirt Monkey University putting the IronLace boot laces through some unconventional paces, including a blowtorch and using the laces as a towing anchor. Obviously, as bootlaces, IronLaces are best used to, well, lace up boots; it certainty is a impressive display of their durability, all the same.

As a reminder, IronLace boot laces are capable of withstanding up to 1600 lbs of tension, are virtually chemical proof, UV ray resistant, water proof, abrasion resistant, and heat resistant up to 630 deg F. Additionally, IronLace’s work with RLCB has led to IronLace boot laces being categorized as a Skillcraft product.

Marine South – The National Target Company Inc / Rite In The Rain Introduce New Target

Thursday, April 7th, 2016

Rite in the Rain had a new target from The National Target Company which is printed on their waterproof paper. The 19.5″x40″ target is pretty straigh forward. It’s waterproof so it won’t become mush in the rain. You can write on it, even when the surface is damp. Available in the full rectangular version here or a die cut version of just the outline of the target with no margin.

Marine South – Ops-Core Updates Skullcrusher

Thursday, April 7th, 2016

I’ve been using the Ops-Core Skullcrusher for many years when I require Night Vision but I don’t need a helmet, for example, while hunting. It’s much more comfortable than the old headsets issued with the PVS-7s and 14s because it is well padded and offers several points of adjustment. Additionally, it incorporates rails at each side and has accommodation for a counterweight.

Recently, they updated the design by no longer molding the shroud plate directly into the Skullcrusher but rather offering a three hole design that will accommodate their mount or three hole mounts from other companies such as Wilcox.

Marine South – Big Ass Solutions

Thursday, April 7th, 2016

ADS Inc had Big Ass Solutions in their booth at Marine South.  This model is the 6-1/2 foot tall Black Jack which is impressively quiet considering it’s, well, a Big Ass Fan.  The variable blade speed Black Jack is mounted on wheels and has a 25′ cord.  This chart gives you an idea of what kind of air movement you are seeing.

OSS Congratulates H&K On CSASS Contract Bid

Thursday, April 7th, 2016

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Murray Utah – Operators Suppressor Systems (OSS) congratulates Heckler & Koch Defense Inc. on their successful Compact Semi-Automatic Sniper System (CSASS) contract bid with the U.S. Department of Defense.

“OSS is honored to participate with and support HK’s Program Team and their winning CSASS submission,” said John Spurrier, OSS Chief Executive Officer.

“This lightweight variant of the HK G28, integrated with OSS’s over the barrel suppression system, effectively delivers the improved reliability and accuracy, reduced felt recoil and enhanced suppressor performance required by this contract, and critical for its intended broad spectrum of sniper missions,” said Spurrier.  “The OSS design, engineering and product teams have worked closely with our HK partners since 2012, and we look forward to the work ahead.”

“The CSASS contract, as well as recent U.S. Government agency testing, are important validations for the unmatched performance of OSS’s patented Flow-Through™ technology,” said Chris Estadt, VP of Sales and Marketing.  “Weapon systems with OSS suppression don’t see the adverse effects on the shooter or weapon often found with baffle suppressors like blowback and buildup of particulates, increased backpressure and recoil, or first round flash,” said Estadt.  “And these are especially critical for sniper mission effectiveness.”

ADS, Inc. Announces Partnership With OxyBand Technologies Inc.

ADS, INC. ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH OXYBAND TECHNOLOGIES INC.

State-of-the-art OxyBand Product To Revolutionize Healing For Injured Skin and Tissue

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. April 1, 2016 — ADS, Inc. provides customized solutions to all branches of the military, first responders, law enforcement and government organizations. As a leader in the industry, ADS, Inc. seeks out manufacturers and partnerships that are on the cutting edge of technology in order to provide their customers with the best possible products to complete their missions.

Enter OxyBand, cleared by the FDA to administer oxygen to wounds and tissue for up to 5 days directly from the dressing without a generator, tank or carrier solution. In a clinical trial conducted by the United States Army Institute for Surgical Research (USAISR), OxyBand significantly outperformed the standard of care for accelerating healing and reducing pain without infection.

When tissues in the body are deprived of oxygen, the irreversible process of tissue death begins. For those on the front lines suffering burns, blasts and other injuries, damage can occur to tissue and blood vessels; interrupting the blood supply needed to deliver oxygen to the wound site for tissue regeneration. Thanks to this recent partnership, OxyBand™ will be on the battlefield, in the line of duty or in the wake of emergency when needed most.

In an effort to simplify and expedite the procurement process for their customers, ADS, Inc. has made OxyBand available on their Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) Schedule with DLA, and proofed the product to fit the scope of a variety of their other Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contracts. ADS, Inc. is also stocking the product to minimize the delivery time for orders.
