SKD Tactical – PIG 3L SP (Short Profile) Hydration Carrier

Designed for the Hydrapak Short Profile 3.1L-3.5L (expandable) Hydration Bladder, the ALL-NEW PIG 3L SP HYDRATION CARRIER (SHORT PROFILE) features the same wide mouth zipper opening and bilateral tube routing as the original PIG Hydration Carrier (2L). The proprietary 4″ elastic band adds compression to the bottom of the bladder which serves to counteract the “fat belly” effect as the bladder empties. The bottom of the back panel is made of mesh, to aid in drainage and evaporation of condensation.

As part of the new [SYSTEMA] family of product, this Hydration Carrier not only works with the PIG MK-1 Shoulder Straps, but integrates directly with the PIG BRIG CR (Chest Rig) via the PIG BRIG CR-LB (Load Bearing) Harness. Direct Molle interface is achieved via 4 Short Malice Clips, which are included.

Hydrapak 3.1L-3.5L Short Profile Hydration Bladders are available separately.

TNVC is Excited to Announce the RNVG from AB NightVision Inc

The RNVG is designed as the most rugged night vision goggle available. While most NVG’s are built with molded polymer housings, the RNVG features a 7075 aluminum chassis for unsurpassed rigidity and structural strength. All articulation points have been beefed up to increase impact resistance, giving users one tough goggle. Designed and machined at AB NightVision, and finished / assembled at TNVC, the Ruggedized Night Vision Goggle is ready to face the toughest customers and harshest environments!

Traditionally, the weakest point in a night vision goggle is the joint between the optic pods and the bridge. This point accounts for the majority of catastrophic breakage when a NVG is dropped or hit. Part of this reason is that these joints are either polymer on polymer or metal on polymer interfaces. While there are some seriously impact resistant polymers out there, it’s hard to beat aluminum for strength to weight ratios. Both the optic pods and bridge in the RNVG are machined from solid billet 7075 (a material that is 36% stronger than most common steel), to give end users the strongest NVG on the market (not to mention a little piece of mind). Careful design and advanced machining keep the weight down to 20 oz. with a battery installed.

ZEV Technologies Announce Collaboration with Winkler Knives

After a chance meeting at the 2018 SHOT SHOW, ZEV teamed up with the one and only Winkler Knives to design and produce an everyday carry, personal defense knife. “Daniel Winkler and Jason Knight worked hard to bring our vision to life and we could not be happier with how this project turned out. They truly brought the ZEV philosophy of ‘Design. Feel. Performance.’ to every aspect of this knife. This is the first release of many new projects that ZEV currently has in the works.” stated Dave Roberts, VP of Marketing. The ZEV-Winkler Knife is a limited edition of 100 available for purchase exclusively on ZEV’s website. The first batch of 50 are available now, with the remaining 50 coming to market in the next 45 days.

The blade is made from 80CrV2 steel, coated in black oxide and features a sculpted G10 curved handle that indexes perfectly in the hand. Thumb index file work on top of the blade ensures a perfect grip every time.

ZEV’s influence can be seen from the red and black handle, its slashes cut in the blade, to the kydex® sheath in red and black that also feature the signature ZEV slashes.

Additionally, the belt clip can be mounted vertical or horizontal for left or right-hand draw giving the end user a variety of carry options.

CANSEC 18 – Solarshield

If you’ve ever been around military vehicles on the summer, you know how hot their exterior surfaces can get. Armored vehicles are even worse.

Rheinmetall Defence’s Solar Sigma Shield is a blanket-like appliqué. It is designed to not only reduce the effects of solar heat in vehicles, but also provide multispectral camouflage. It is also fire resistant and no-slip/no-skid, another major plus for operating on armor vehicles.

Testing by Defence Research and Development Canada Show up to a 30% lower temperature when using Solarshield.

In this case, it is mounted to a Tactical Armored Patrol Vehicle from Textron Systems, currently in service with the Canadian Army.
