Atlas Standard continues to roll out teasers.
We’ve teased Crye Precision spin-off Atlas Standard in the past, Promising that it was coming. Well, it’s coming, and the reason we know is that they now have an Instagram account.

During Enforce Tac we gave you a sneak peek at the new low-viz Flannel Shirt from Swiss company, LMS Gear.

Our friends at ePIG Group created a great video to go over its features. Don’t worry, even though the video was in German, there are subtitles in English.
It’s available through tacwrk.com, LMSGear.net, and tripleaction.de.

It’s no surprise that low-profile garments become more popular year by year as the urban environment becomes the primary scene of tactical operations. Helikon-Tex is keeping up with this trend and has just expanded their Urban Line with the Urban Tactical Hoodie® and Greyman Tactical Jeans®.

Greyman Tactical Jeans® look just like your everyday jeans, but they also have some of the elements found in this Polish manufacturer’s other tactical pants. That makes them totally low-, yet still action-ready when the need arises.

With no-less than 9 pockets you’ll be able to have all your EDC and necessary gear by your side, all the while maintaining a low profile. The pant accepts a 50 mm wide belt and the crotch gusset will enable you to move freely and dynamically.

Urban Tactical Hoodie® is a nod to people who need to be invisible to the crowd during duty, but on the other hand it’s a great choice for those of you who like comfortable and plain-looking clothes for everyday usage.

Having two inner mesh pockets, you won’t be worried about losing your keys or other belongings and you can be sure this durable hoodie will last for years thanks to the thick and elastic cotton construction.

LMS Gear is introducing a flannel shirt, to go along with Multi Utility Denim.

At the front you can see the asymmetric pockets with a regular flapped shirt pocket on the left side of the shirt and a small pocket with pen slot on the right. Interestingly, this pocket is accessible through the armpit of an armor vest. Additionally, midway down the front opening is a slot for sun glasses.
The shirt also features patched elbows for durability.

The sides of the hem feature a Cordura patch for durability, to avoid tearing when pulling the shirt for a draw from conceal.

At the left and right of the shirt, just behind the side seam are low-profile pockets which will accept a single 30 rd magazine.

Our friends at WNDSN Expedition Team have another tip for you.

On the topic of so-called USB condoms, USB thumb drive-sized devices that are designed to protect the user from malicious data traffic in and out of the device when hooking up to public or unknown USB charging outlets. They work by physically removing the ability to transfer data, and are thus quite safe in that regard. Something else that is interesting when dealing with unknown power sources, or sometimes with sketchy cables is charging speed, and actual throughput (which is often quite fragile, especially with high-powered cellphones), as well as remaining power in power banks. To combine the two functions, with the latter being surprisingly more often needed than the former, I got a USB power monitor, one from PortaPow, the other one from Drok, both of which are about the size of a thumb drive providing several measurements of electricity plus the ability to only allow power, and no data exchange. Don’t travel or commute without.

WNDSN XPD recently shared this TacHack on Instagram. They do some cool stuff so we thought it was worth a share. It’s written from their perspective.

In the spirit of the old Wndsn Tumblr how-tos and as an exercise in #HOBOTACTICAL gear mods, here is a simple enhancement to your typical field jacket:
Install a rectangle of velcro (the loop side) ON THE INSIDE of the jacket, above the inner chest pocket; I used a 4 x 6″ piece in the example.
Now you have a versatile PLATFORM for any piece of gear that comes with a VELCRO (hook) back; of course, you can just as well wear your morale patches in this COVERT way, but we can make it even more useful.

I enjoy my smuggler’s jacket from @edsmanifesto and the many pockets and storage options it offers, including the dump pouch. I have found that sometimes though, I’d like to have that pouch higher up, and even when loaded, hidden within the jacket. A piece of hook velcro installed on the back of a drawstring DUMP POUCH, and we can use the newly cretaed platform to attach the dump pouch high up and have its contents out of sight, within the jacket. Compare the pictures. ENJOY!
