Kupilka is a Finnish company that manufactures fiber-composite tableware. Specifically, the composite is wood fiber and polypropylene. While you can certainly use it at the dining room table, it is well suited for use while camping.

Thursday, January 24th, 2013Leatherman has introduced two new snowboard-centric tools – the Rime and Hail.
Leatherman has integrated pictograms into the design so that you know the function of each tool. Both have a flat #3 screwdriver heads as well as wax scrapers for the board. Additionally, both can store your headphones as well as bottle openers and lace pullers.
The Hail also has a 10mm wrench for the bolts on straps and bindings. Additionally, you can nest a Style PS tool into the body of the Hail.

Thursday, December 13th, 2012The Mountain OPs Jacket from Eddie Bauer’s First Ascent line caught my eye during a recent Christmas shopping excursion to the local mall. It’s as if someone had taken a mechanic’s garage jacket and modernized it…really modernized it.
With a 500D Cordura nylon shell, the Mountain OPs jacket integrates 700 fill goose down insulation and an updated look. It boasts 7 pockets including an angled, flapped chest pocket pocket on the left as well as an inset bicep pocket on the left arm and angled pen pocket on the right sleeve. In addition to slash hand warmer pockets, it also features a single pocket on the interior.
The little details really make this jacket. It includes knit collar and inset knit cuffs as well as a fleece chin cup for comfort in the cold.
