Logos Technologies Unveils New Platform-Flexible Multi-Modal Sensor Pod at AUSA

Thursday, October 10th, 2019

Pod combines wide-area hyperspectral capability with wide-area motion imagery (WAMI) and high-resolution imagery

FAIRFAX, Va.–Logos Technologies announced today that it will be exhibiting for the very first time its airborne, platform-flexible Multi-Modal Sensor Pod (MMSP) at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Meeting and Exposition, on October 14-16.

Mounted on planes, helicopters and Group 3-5 unmanned aircraft systems, the MMSP houses:

• A wide-area motion imagery (WAMI) system,

• a wide-area hyperspectral imager,

• a high-resolution spotter, and an

• onboard embedded processor for real-time processing and storage.

The three MMSP sensors work in partnership, with autonomous cross tasking, to deliver comprehensive, multi-layered information in real-time.

“This is invaluable and a great force multiplier to the warfighter,” said Doug Rombough, VP of Business Development for Logos Technologies, “because it greatly reduces the number of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance sorties needed over a target area, saving time, saving platforms and saving equipment.”

As part of the MMSP, the WAMI system can image a city-sized area in medium resolution, enough to detect and track every mover within the vast scene, while the narrow-field high-resolution spotter can be cued to monitor 10-plus locations automatically, providing identification-quality imagery.

The hyperspectral imager provides additional information by scanning the scene for unique spectral signatures of camouflaging netting, explosive stores, tank hulls or any other relevant targets. The MMSP hyperspectral imager covers an area 15 times larger than that of traditional hyperspectral sensors.

“The MMSP covers an area in real-time as well as records, tags and stores up to eight hours of imagery for review by analysts while the pod is still in the air. It does all of this while fitting in a package that weighs less than 100 pounds (45kg),” Rombough said.

In addition to the MMSP, Logos Technologies will also be exhibiting the following lightweight WAMI systems:

• the Redkite platform-flexible pod,

• the Redkite-I for the Insitu Integrator,

• the Kestrel Block II for aerostats, as well as

• the Multi-Modal Edge Processor.

For more information on Logos Technologies and its innovative sensor products, please visit Booth 1467, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington, D.C., or the company website: www.logos-technologies.com

CAA USA Confirms Exclusive Licensing Agreement with SB Tactical

Wednesday, October 9th, 2019

CAA USA, designer and developer of the MCK conversion kit for popular handguns, confirms that it has an exclusive licensing agreement with SB Tactical®, the originators of the Pistol Stabilizing Brace® for use on the MCK and Micro Roni.

Pompano Beach (October 2019) – CAA USA, designers and developers of the MCK/Micro Conversion Kit, confirmed that since May 2019, it has a licensing agreement with SB Tactical®, the originators of the patented Pistol Stabilizing Brace®, for exclusive use on CAA USA products.

“CAA USA is very excited about this exclusive agreement with SB Tactical,” LTC. (Ret.) Mikey Hartman, CEO of CAA USA, commented. “Both CAA USA and SB Tactical are committed to developing superior products that meet the demands of our customer base and ensuring quality and integrity above all.”

The agreement specifies that only CAA USA MCK/Micro Conversion Kits have the right to utilize the intellectual property associated with the Pistol Stabilizing Brace. Any similar products not produced by CAA USA but sold under the CAA Israel name violate the SB-Tactical contracts and are not sanctioned by either company.

Alex Bosco, founder and owner of SB Tactical said in a statement, “We would like to inform our US distributors and dealers that CAA USA is the only manufacturer of MCK, Micro Roni and Roni Stabilizers authorized to produce handgun conversion kits with the SB Tactical patented Stabilizing Brace® technology. We respectfully request that any purported, counterfeit and/or unauthorized use of Stabilizing Braces in handgun conversion kits manufactured, sold or marketed by other companies be reported to SB Tactical. Please notify SB Tactical of any Micro Roni or Roni Stabilizers coming from companies like YRS Inc., CAA Industries (Israel) and Jay Technology, as they are unauthorized sellers of this product.”

Hartman added, “We at CAA USA have cut all ties with CAA Israel because of unauthorized actions of one of its minority shareholders, who began infringing on the SB Tactical patent, as well as violating the MAP prices on the Micro Roni, by selling through an Israeli internet company called YRS. Given these unlawful actions, we had no choice but to design and manufacture our own 100% made in the USA conversion kit called the MCK. In addition, we have taken legal action to stop CAA Israel’s minority shareholder from making false and defamatory statements about the safety of our MCK”. In legal filings, CAA USA has also established that CAA Israel has been facing financial difficulties, further contributing to the need for separation of the two companies.

The CAA USA MCK is the next-generation Micro conversion kit, 100% American-made, easy to assemble, and compatible with the most popular handguns including GLOCK, SIG Sauer and Smith & Wesson. The MCK GLOCK model can accommodate 12 different GLOCK pistol models, allowing the end user more options at a lower cost.

For assembly, simply place the pistol in the CAA USA MCK/Micro Conversion Kit, lock it in and go! There is no pistol disassembly required. The exposed side release allows for direct contact and is easier to use. The MCK is ambidextrous and the right-folding stock arm brace allows for concealment and carry and locks in the folded position. Lots of options for adding accessories and optics with a top Picatinny rail and side Picatinny rails. A spare magazine holder is located in the front for faster reloads and the ergonomic finger groove grip provides the user more stability.

The CAA USA MCK is a vast improvement from previous generations of the Micro Roni Stabilizer. CAA USA is introducing a new patent-pending, revolutionary forward-grip that allows for incredible stability with one-of-a-kind ergonomics. The MCK also provides a new spare magazine holder option that was not available in the older stabilizer versions. CAA USA also now offers models that were not available in the previous conversion kits such as the GLOCK 20/21, the SIG Sauer P320 full-size and compact, the S&W M&P Gen 1 full-size and compact, the M&P 2.0 full-size and compact, and CAA USA will introduce a new Springfield model as well the new Gen 2 MCK in the fourth quarter of 2019. CAA USA will unveil the new products at the 2019 NASGW Expo in Orlando, Florida on Oct. 22 – 25th at booth 1719.

The CAA USA MCK MSRP starts at $249.00 at CAA USA online.
