Arnold Defense, the world’s leading supplier of rocket launchers, has been awarded a $53.8 million contract for the delivery of 2.75-inch rocket launchers and sub components to support the U.S. Navy, Army and Air Force, along with foreign military sales to Australia. Recently announced by the U.S. Department of Defense, the contract includes options that, if exercised, will raise the cumulative total to $74.3 million over a 4 year period, with final delivery expected to be complete in 2023.
The Arnold Defense contract is for the delivery of a number of their core products; the 7-tube M260 and 19-tube M261 Hydra-70 Rocket Launchers used by U.S. Army helicopters; the 7-tube LAU-68 & LAU-131 series and 19-tube LAU-61 & LAU-130 series used by the U.S. Navy and Air Force; and various launcher sub-components such as Intervalometers and Tube Assemblies.

Unknown to many, Griffin Armament was a technology innovator in tubeless silencer design, developing the first commercially available tubeless suppressors in 2010, The Recce Series (gen 1). Tubeless designs although relatively featureless compared to user serviceable or modular suppressors do have a unique advantage in that they can be made very lightweight and durable. Deleting the outer tube helps reduce weight of the system but also imposes other engineering hurdles that have to be overcome. Griffin, having a solid R&D background in tubeless suppressors, sought to push the limits of what was capable by creating the EXPLORR™ series. The goal was to create dedicated rifle suppressors as light as possible, including the mounting system, that nearly matched the lightweight specifications common to full titanium suppressors. Once the program was completed, the consumer could have the lightest weight products available with better than currently available material durability in the existing class. KEENE, NH – Samson Manufacturing has released their new Offset Light Mount (OLM). The Samson OLM, originally produced to mount a light on Ruger’s PC Carbine, works equally well on any long gun using a M1913 Picatinny rail. With the 90-degree offset, you can easily add a weapon-mounted flashlight. On Ruger’s PC Carbine, the OLM allows you to continue using the sling swivel stud.
The OLM is made from 6061-T6 aluminum with a MIL-A-8625 type III class 2 anodized finish, and retails for $34.29. It can be ordered from the Samson website.
Beez Combat Systems has designed and built a 100% laser cut GRIDLOK radio pouch for all Baofeng models with extended battery options. The Baofeng radio is one of the mostly widely used radios for MilSim, the civilian market and HAM radio operators.
This new pouch allows the operator one handed operations. When the pouch is open it hangs at a forward angle allowing the operator to facilitate radio operations while maintaining forward observations.
The unique design allows full access to user interface, access ports as well as channel and frequency functions. The bungee retention secures the Baofeng radio into place while allowing the operator unobstructed mobility for basic radio operations i.e battery replacements and other Baofeng accessories.
