Helikon-Tex to Showcase Urban and Range Lines during IWA Classics

Helikon-Tex is proud to present their new and upcoming products at the largest tactical-outdoor exhibition – IWA 2019 in Nuremberg, Germany.

The gear spans the full Helikon-Tex main product lines, with special emphasis on the Urban and Range Line. Both lines feature totally new garments and equipment as well as new melange colours to join the current palette.

Helikon-Tex is bringing out new types of shirts, presented in more convenient packaging, that were designed specifically for guys looking for tactical features while maintaining a low profile look. The Fostech Echo Sport Trigger is an economical pull and release trigger for the AR-15 platform. The Echo Sport has the functionality of the ECHO AR-II. Good To-Go Sends over 750 Meals to Team Rubicon

Volunteers on the ground will have a delicious, nutritious meal after a hard day’s (or night’s) work.

Good To-Go staff pack ’em up and ship ’em out to Team Rubicon.

[February 21, 2019, Kittery, ME] — For the second consecutive year, rather than offer discounted holiday pricing, Good To-Go’s DoBetter campaign invited customers to join the brand in giving back. By donating one meal for every two purchased on their website, Good To-Go was able to send 768 meal portions to Team Rubicon. Much of the campaign’s success was attributed to customers opting to “DoBetter” and donate their entire order to Team Rubicon’s network of volunteers. The donated meals will allow volunteers working on the ground to refuel with a delicious, healthy meal.

“Good To-Go’s clean ingredients for quick and healthy meals are a great addition to Team Rubicon’s international teams when they deploy,” said Brian Meagher, Strategic Partnerships Officer at Team Rubicon. “Good To-Go stepped up and donated over 750 meal portions to support our response efforts to the ever-growing number of disasters worldwide—ensuring our volunteers don’t have to choose between healthy and quick.”

Team Rubicon unites the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders to rapidly provide relief to communities in need after a natural disaster. Since their founding in 2010, Team Rubicon has responded to more than 320 disasters around the world. This year alone, Team Rubicon has launched disaster response operations in Newport, RI and King County, WA for winter storm response; Elsinore, CA for flood response; and has continued its Hurricane Michael recovery efforts with operations in Bay County, FL and Albany, GA. Additionally, the organization still has home rebuild operations running in Houston, TX and Collier County, FL in response to Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

Mack Defense Enters Production Vehicle Testing Phase of Heavy Dump Truck Contract

ALLENTOWN, PA (Feb. 18, 2019) – Mack Defense recently started production of five Mack® Granite®-based M917A3 Heavy Dump Trucks (HDT) as part of the Production Vehicle Testing (PVT) phase of its $296 million contract with the U.S. Army for armored and armor-capable HDTs. Once completed, the trucks will enter 40 weeks of rigorous durability testing at the U.S. Army’s Aberdeen Test Center this summer.

“Our production team and suppliers are excited to begin building these next generation HDTs for the U.S. Army,” said David Hartzell, president of Mack Defense. “We’re confident the M917A3 will provide the Army the legendary durability and toughness Mack customers have come to depend on.”

Seeking the next generation of M917 vehicles to offer increased protection levels, higher payload and improved mobility, the U.S. Army solicited bids for new HDTs in June 2017. The contract, awarded to Mack Defense in May 2018, allows for Mack Defense to produce armor-capable or armored HDTs with deliveries through May 2025. The trucks will increase operational effectiveness and readiness, and will support mobility, counter mobility, survivability and sustainment operations for the Joint Forces in areas of the world with austere infrastructures and little or no host nation support.

“We have had regular meetings with our U.S. Army partners in preparation for the PVT phase of the contract, and we look forward to providing a tough, dependable truck that will meet their requirements,” said Jack Terefinko, HDT program manager for Mack Defense.

Based on the civilian Mack Granite model, Mack Defense engineers optimized the M917A3 HDT to meet the current needs of the U.S. Army, while allowing for evolving requirements and future growth. With heavier-duty rear axles, all-wheel drive and increased suspension ride height, the M917A3 is capable of meeting the demanding payload and mobility requirements set by the U.S. Army HDT program.
