Reptilia Launches DOT Mount for Aimpoint T-1/T-2

Reptilia has launched their latest product, the DOT Mount. It’s a straight forward design, with no giant bolts or throw levers hanging off the side.

The DOT Mount by Reptilia is a lightweight, slim-line mounting solution for a variety of red dot optics. Machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum with Milspec Type III hard anodized finish, the DOT Mount attaches to any M1913 Picatinny Rail, and offers lower 1/3 co-witness with standard AR15-style back-up sights. Its spring-loaded nitrided steel clamp and mounting bolt simplify the installation process, and sit flush with the body of the mount for a low-profile, anti-snag design.

Available immediately in black for Aimpoint T-1/T-2 style optics, with Flat Dark Earth and Clear anodized versions shipping in late March. Like all Reptilia products, the DOT Mount is 100% made in the USA and carries a full lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects.

GTGConsult Teams with RE Factor Tactical to Introduce Baseline Target to US

The Danish firearms training and consulting company GTGConsult has partnered up with RE Factor Tactical to bring their Baseline Target to the US market.

The GTG Baseline Target was designed to make it easier for recreational shooters as well as professional users to be efficient on the range, minimizing time spent on pasting targets while still upholding shot accountability and the ability to score.

To accomplish this the Baseline Target has a large number of individual target zones, and a single target can be used for approx. 200-250 rounds of quality training before being discarded.

GTGConsult has compiled a good selection of drills, exercises and tests developed and by leading firearms trainers, which are all specifically supported by the Baseline Target. These ‘Drill Cards’ are available as PDF downloads via their website and more drills are added regularly.

Empire Wool and Canvas Co – Arctic Anorak

Empire Wool and Canvas Company doesn’t do anything halfway and their Arctic Anorak is cut long to use as an impromptu shelter. It’s made from a tight weave of pre-shrunk 6 ounce organic Cotton Canvas to cut the wind but allow moisture to escape. It will also accept dye if you need to alter the color.

The hood is large enough to wear a helmet beneath and features a one-handed cord adjustment. The interior of the visor has a light layer of poly fleece so your breath won’t form an ice cave around your face and the hood accepts a fur ruff.

The design features modified Raglan sleeves and a long skirt protects the muscle mass in your seat and thighs. There is a zippered and bellowed chest pocket set high so you can wear an external belt. It also has a reach through port for accessing gear or water bottles from your inner layers. The cuffs seal with hook and loop tabs, and slide inside the gauntlets of handwear. Finally, there are handwear leash tie down D-rings in the sleeves.

New Arisaka Defense Products For February 2019

The new Side Scout Mount (SSM) is designed for use with Surefire Scout Lights, the Arisaka 300 and 600 Series, and the Streamlight Protac Rail Mount lights. It replaces the stock Picatinny rail adapter with a low profile mount for M-Lok, KeyMod, and Picatinny handguards, and tucks the light underneath either side of the ATPIAL laser/illuminator series, including the ATPIAL-C, AN/PEQ15, and LA-5/PEQ. It will also allow the light to clear the QD lever on the Steiner DBAL I2, A3, and D2. Now shipping for M-Lok, KeyMod, and Picatinny

Our new Streamlight Tailcap Adapter allows the Protac Rail Mount 1 and 2 to use Surefire Scout tailcaps and remote switches, including the DS tailcap with SR-D-IT dual remote switch for use with laser/illuminators. The Rail Mount 1 and 2 version is available now, while the HL-X model has an ETA of early March.
