With the 100th Anniversary of the end of the war to end all wars just around the corner, it’s best to remind everyone that by 1918, the US Marines were fully employed, putting foot to Central Power ass, but when the Germans saw how hard the Devil Dogs partied on their birthday, they promptly surrendered the next morning. That’s right, the service that was founded in a Tavern is why we celebrate Armistice Day on 11 November.

Tampa, FL – B&T USA, LE Division, recently won an IDIQ contract to supply US Department of Homeland Security’s Customs and Border Protection Agency with B&T’s GL06 40mm Launcher. B&T will deliver 329 of their SIR (Safe Impact Round) launchers to DHS, the first US agency to adopt the GLO6.
The GL06 from B&T has been proven and deployed throughout Europe by law enforcement agencies. Ideal for border security and crowd control, the GL06 40mm Launcher uses SIR (Safe Impact Rounds). The DHS contract GL06 Launchers will be custom configured with shorter barrels and iron sights.

Awhile back we teased the ARX Rain Jacket and Pant. They are the level 6 garment in Beyond’s new Kyros line which is made from foreign sourced materials.
In particular, this ensemble features the debut of Beyond’s proprietary Lutra, a 3-layer waterproof breathable fabric.
The jacket has several other design features. For instance, the hood can be rolled up and buttoned out of the way.
Additionally, the zipper feature new hardware and redesigned garages.
On the inside there is a pass through and cable management for electronics cords.
Finally, the cuffs are fashioned from Hypalon.
In addition to the Jacket, there is a Pant.
It is also made from Lutra and features full length side zips to facilitate donning and doffing, but these don’t separate at the top. The bottom cuff is secured with a snap and there are Cordura patches at the instep to mitigate wear.
There are also actually zippered hand pockets rather than pass through and a G-hook closure at the integral belt.

With nothing else like it on the market, the Team Wendy M-216 SKI SAR Helmet has become quite popular. But like anything else, users have asked for a few enhancements to the helmet.
First off is the M-216 Counterweight Kit. The unique design is patterned specifically for use with this helmet. It is 1 pound of coated lead with a Grey Cordura skin and attached via some very robust Velcro.
Next is the removable chin cup which converts the under-the-chin sports-style chinstrap to a similar strap found on the Ballistic helmet, offering additional stability when wearing night vision devices. It can be pulled out of the way or removed completely.
These enhancements, along with the Wilcox machined aluminum shroud, are available as part of the M-216 Tactical Ski SAR offering.

There was a winter market held here in Denver back in January, right after SHOT show. The reason there is a second winter market this year is because they are moving the dates in order to line up with actual order taking in the outdoor industry. As you can imagine, it has led to some upheaval in attendance. I’m not really sure what I’m going to see inside the show, but let’s go take a look.

18th November 1918 marks the date of the end of the most tragic world war, which claimed the lives of millions. For many countries it is also a symbolic date of their rebirth. On this day Poland, after 123 years of enslavement imposed by three countries: Prussia, Austria and Russia, regained its independence. Soon the Bolshevik Russia once again tried to take this independence away, but after the polish success in the Warsaw battle in August 1920 it was certain, that Poland will keep its independence.
