MDM – 5.11 Tactical’s HEXGRID

5.11 Tactical is displaying a production version of their HEXGRID plate carrier at Modern Day Marine. We first saw this awhile ago with a preproduction model showing up at SHOT Show.

The proprietary material is cut with PALS Hexagonal holes which accepts pouches not only up and down but on angles as well.

The plates are covered with Cordura bags for protection and held within the HEXGRID carrier.

The carrier itself is a simple affair with optional shoulder strap covers. That’s right, it’s 5.11 Tactical, but that ‘Made in USA’ tag is real.

MDM – DAKA Suppressor Bag from Magpul

Intended solely for storage and transportation of cool suppressors, the new DAKA Suppressor Bag from Magpul is Made in USA from a reinforced polymer with a water repellant YKK zipper with shrinkwrapped 550 cord pull. It also incorporates Magpul’s paint pen dot matrix for marking.

MDM – CSASS Goes M-Lok

The Compact Semi-Automatic Sniper System rifle will transition from the HKey Mod attachment system used on H&K’s solicitation winning submission to the M-Lok attachment from Magpul. In this case, it’s a Geissele Rail (and optics mount).

MDM – Gentex Ballistic Appliqué

This is the Gentex Ballistic Appliqué. For those of you unfamiliar with the concept, it attaches to the shell of a ballistic helmet to enhance its capabilities. The upgrade is tuned toward the AK threat and is offered in single and multi-hit variants. It is available to fit the FAST and Century cut helmets.
