Red Cat Secures $518K in New Orders for Edge 130 Drones from U.S. Government Agencies

January 31st, 2025

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, Jan. 23, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Red Cat Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: RCAT) (“Red Cat” or the “Company”), a drone technology company integrating robotic hardware and software for military, government, and commercial operations, today announced it has secured new orders for its Edge 130 drone from the Army National Guard and another U.S. Government Agency (OGA), totaling $518,000.

FlightWave, a leading provider of VTOL drone, sensor and software solutions was acquired by Red Cat in September 2024. The acquisition brought FlightWave’s flagship drone, the Edge 130 Blue into its family of low-cost, portable unmanned reconnaissance and precision lethal strike systems. FlightWave’s size, weight and vertical take off capabilities makes it ideal for maritime operations and littoral environments.

The combined orders, which amount to 12 Edge 130 drones, reflect Red Cat’s continued momentum in providing advanced drone technology solutions to key defense and security customers. The Edge 130 is known for its robust capabilities, including long-endurance flight times, AI-driven surveillance features, and operational effectiveness in a variety of mission-critical environments.

“These new orders further validate the performance and unique capabilities of the Edge 130 as part of our Family of Systems and reinforce our position as a trusted provider of drone solutions for government and military applications,” said Jeff Thompson, Red Cat CEO. “We are expanding our manufacturing capacity for the Edge 130 to accelerate this momentum and remain committed to supporting U.S. government agencies with the industry’s best technology that enhances their mission capabilities and success.”

The Edge 130 Blue is a UAS-certified military-grade tricopter for long-range mapping, inspection, surveillance, and reconnaissance needs. Designed specifically for government and military applications, the Edge 130 Blue can be assembled and hand-launched in just one minute by a single user to capture high-accuracy aerial imagery with medium-range autonomy. Weighing in at only 1200g, the Edge has a 60+ minute flight time in forward mode, an industry-leading endurance among all other Blue UAS-approved drones available.

SPACECENT Breaks Ground on Space Campus Project in CENTCOM AOR

January 31st, 2025

AL UDEID AIR BASE, Qatar (AFNS) —

In a significant milestone for the U.S. Space Force, U.S. Space Forces – Central officially broke ground on the Space Campus at Al Udeid Air Base, Jan. 14. The ceremony, attended by key personnel and stakeholders, marked the beginning of a new era in space capabilities for the region.

The Space Campus is a major initiative aimed at enhancing the base’s space operations and capabilities in the area. The project is designed to provide a state-of-the-art facility for personnel to work together and advance the mission, supporting the growing demands of space-related activities.

Col. Frank Brooks, Space Forces Central deputy commander, delivered remarks during the ceremony, highlighting the importance of the Space Campus and its role in advancing the base’s space operations.

“[The Campus] represents the ever-growing partnership between the United States and Qatar, a bond forged in trust and strengthened year by year since the 1990s,” Brooks said. “Al Udeid Air Base has been more than just a military installation; it has been a foundation for collaboration and mutual respect.”

The Space Campus is the first project to break ground on the Space Campus site, and its completion is expected to have a significant impact on the base’s ability to support space-related missions.

“This complex will soon become a beacon for the vital space systems and operations that underpin U.S. CENTCOM’s mission of promoting stability, security, and partnership across the region,” Brooks said. “It will stand as a testament to our shared vision for a safer, more secure world.”

The U.S. Space Force continues to play a critical role in regional and global operations. Committed forces maintain 24/7 operations to ensure the safety and sustainability of space and protect our way of life. In addition to protecting the joint and combined forces from space-enabled attacks, Guardians are uniquely trained in warfighting activities in, from and to the space domain. Their mission protects and enables precision navigation and timing systems like GPS, missile warning and satellite communications, as well as helping the general public to find their destinations, track online purchases and get money from an ATM.

The completion of the Al Udeid Space Campus is a major milestone in the development of space capabilities, and its impact will be felt across the region and beyond.

Tech Ten Tactical – B5 SOPMOD Stock Insert

January 30th, 2025

I was recently introduced to Tech Ten Tactical’s line of weapon accessories. They’ve got quite a lineup but I’d like to start with a great accessory for the B5 SOPMOD stock.

The patented B5 Enhanced SOPMOD Stock Insert adds another QD attachment point to your B5 Enhanced SOPMOD Stock. It’s simple to install.

The Swinger Sling Mount makes it easy to transition from right to left and back thanks to its location on the stock and the fact that it allows the sling mount to rotate around 200° with the Swinger Sling Mount. It also never comes into contact with your hand and isn’t in the way at your cheek when the weapon is shouldered.

Also available as a kit with both the insert and B5 stock.

4D Tactical SOF Cap Now Available in Woodland Camo

January 30th, 2025

Unveiled during last week’s SHOT Show, the Woodland version of the 4D Tactical SOF Cap has all of the same great features.

It utilizes Galvion’s BATLSKIN fitband system, which is found in their Caiman Helmet product line. Additionally, the SOF Cap is fully compatible with all versions of TNVC’s MOHAWK Extended run battery pack, counterweight, storage, and cable management system.

The SOF Cap allows for a wide range of head sizes, rapid adjustment, and secure operation without the need for an additional retention system.  It also incorporates our Secure TETHER System and our low-profile VAS shroud. The SOF Cap is ball cap comfortable and can be worn for extended mission durations without any pain or discomfort. Although the SOF Cap allows for the use of counterweights and extended-run battery packs, they are not required for normal operation.
