Grey Ghost Gear Pack Giveaway – Don’t Miss It!

July 17th, 2012

You can STILL enter through tomorrow!

Let’s face it, the Lightweight Operator Packs from Grey Ghost Gear look great. My kids wore them to last week’s Warrior Expo Week and they spent most of their visit explaining where they got them. Somehow that turned into a rumor that someone was giving them away. Well now they are.

Grey Ghost Gear has had a lot of success with their PenCott pattern packs but they want to know if they should keep making them, or if they should try out a different camouflage, or better yet, both. Grey Ghost wants to know what you think, but they want to hear your opinion on their Facebook page. They value your opinion so much that they are willing to give away a pack a day for three days running. This means that today, they will give away a Badlands, tomorrow a Sandstorm and on Wednesday a Greenzone pack.

To enter, visit www.facebook.com/pages/Grey-Ghost-Gear and Like them. And then tell them that Soldier Systems Daily sent you and which camo patterns they should make packs in.

They will randomly draw a winner from those posts each evening. You don’t have to reenter each day, once is enough, but you can only win once. Void where prohibited.

Agilite Adds Search and Rescue Section to Website

July 17th, 2012

Not only has Agilite updated their website, but they’ve added a section dedicated to search and rescue products. It now goes way beyond the Injured Personnel Carrier (IPC) we featured in January. As you recall, it made quite a stir and showed up all over the internet. These new items include gear such as the Sidewinder & ARCH “Instant Harness” Set you see here which works in conjunction with a Riggers Belt to provide sit harness functionality.

These rescue products have been in use with elements of the IDF and incorporate their new TT High-Density Polyester. They claim it outperforms traditional mil-spec tactical nylon webbing across the board. “From tensile strength to resistance to abrasion, UV and chemicals such as petroleum;, or a melting point of over twice as high, our TT polyester webbing performs far better than traditional nylon webbing. “ says Agilite COO Isaac Oppenheim. “We were looking to raise the bar in webbing quality and we found what we were looking for in TT Polyester-we put it to the test in the most extreme circumstances and the results were outstanding.”

Check out the all-new site at www.agilitegear.com and get free shipping within the US during all of July.

Arc’teryx LEAF Chimera

July 17th, 2012

The Arc’teryx LEAF Chimera was designed specifically for hot/wet weather use. It’s also their first use of the Cyberknit technology combined with a Tweave Durastretch LT yoke and sleeves. It’s highly breathable, moisture-wicking properties include an anti-bacterial, odor-control fabric treatment. It’s not FR but it wasn’t designed to be and the user community it was originally designed for didn’t ask for it. However, it’s ridiculously comfortable against the skin.

This long sleeve shirt is a simple, low profile design meant to keep you cool. It incorporates zippered inset bicep pockets with Velcro pile patches. It’s long torso can be tucked in and the unique low-profile two-piece collar is tall enough to eliminate irritation from armor yet not stick up or be in the way.
