McNett – Who Knew There Was So Much There?

March 14th, 2012

I’ve been familiar with the family of McNett brands for years but it’s hard to really see how far they reach until you see something like this video. They truly do make things better.

“Gear Aid. M Essentials. Camo Form. Outgo. Aquamira. – We are McNett.”

ArchFlex System Insoles on Sale at Extreme Outfitters

March 13th, 2012

One of the things I like about Extreme Outfitters is that they introduce new products at a discount. ArchFlex System Insoles are no exception. They were developed by Icebug in cooperation with Ortolab, Scandinavia’s leading manufacturer of custom made orthopedic footbeds.

Available in sizes 4 -13, ArchFlex System Insoles come in three different heights for Low, Medium, and High arched feet. They normally retail at $49.99 but come down to $37.49 with discount code AF25 until the end of the month.

NavExFor – Mustang Survival

March 13th, 2012

Mustang Survival has introduced a new take on the float coat. Traditionally, float coats have been bulky and didn’t breathe well. Now, Mustang Survival has integrated segmented foam along with a waterproof breathable shell and a moisture wicking liner making it the only waterproof breathable float coat on the market. Together, these technologies integrate to produce a more comfortable coat out of the box. Named the Catalyst, Mustang Survival has updated the look of the coat with conformal reflective strips making it a great choice or uniformed professionals.

The Catalyst is US Coast Guard type III approved and includes a stowable hood. Here, the jacket is turned inside-out and you can see the segmented foam sections. Additionally there is an internal waistbelt as well as pit zips for venting.

NavExFor – Stanley Vidmar

March 13th, 2012

Regardless of service, armorers all suffer the same problem. Units get bigger and add more weapons but the armory never gets bigger. There’s only one solution; organize. Stanley Vidmar offers excellent storage solutions for everything from pistols to GAU-19s. They produce various sizes of rollout bins combined with inserts such as the universal cradle you see here that will hold a variety of small arms including M4 and shotgun. The cradle is rubber coated in order to protect the weapon.

Stanley Vidmar combines steel cabinets with aluminum drawers which not only reduces weight but also passes spark and shock testing for use on maritime vessels.

In addition to small arms storage, Stanley Vidmar can help you organize virtually any commodity. If you need to store it, they’ve probably done it before.

NavExFor – Rocky Boots

March 13th, 2012

20120313-110057.jpg

Here’s a quick update on the Rocky Jungle Boot. Testing in jungle environments has been very positive but testers asked for a slightly less stiff lining in the toe box. Test samples used the same liner as snake boots in order to defend against black palm. Rocky has identified a new material and these should be ready for market in late summer. The boots will still have unlined Cordura uppers, metal mesh screen behind the drain holes and ‘snail snot’ on the toe.
