SHOT Show 17 – Daniel Defense DDM4V7S

Monday, January 23rd, 2017

Although there was plenty to check out in Daniel Defense’s rather large booth, the DDM4V7S caught the eye of more than one member of the gun press.

This 5.56 carbine weighs 5.8 lbs and sports a 11.5″ Cold Hammer Forged barrel with a Government profile and carbine length gas system.  It’s topped off with a DD Flash Suppressor.

Note the Daniel Defense furniture which includes Collapsible Buttstock, Pistol Grip and Vertical Fore Grip as well as 32 round magazine.

I’ve long been a fan of DD’s Rock and Lock Fixed Front and Rear sights. They are solid and easy to install making them great back up sights. Based on the A1-style, they are simple to adjust and are always there when you need them.

This close up shows you how the MFR XS 10″ rail attaches.

Daniel Defense firearms and accessories are available for unit and agency purchase through ADS.

Constitution, Country Music and a Call to Action by Marty Daniel

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2016

Black Creek, GA – November 1, 2016 – Daniel Defense, manufacturer of the world’s finest firearms and accessories, is rallying voters to support the preservation of our Second Amendment rights this Election Day. In a campaign that includes an open letter from Daniel Defense Founder & President Marty Daniel, and a video featuring music legend Charlie Daniels, voters are encouraged to consider the importance of the Second Amendment and defending it by getting out to vote on November 8th.

“The Second Amendment guarantees our right, as U.S. citizens, to keep and bear arms, yet it’s under a constant barrage of attacks,” Marty Daniel writes in his open letter. “Many incumbents and challengers believe this important amendment is outdated and should be ripped from the Constitution, the very foundation of what makes this country a beacon of freedom to the entire world. But we cannot allow this to happen.” Daniel wraps up his letter by imploring voters to ask themselves one important question before casting their votes this year: “If our fundamental right to keep and bear arms, as defined by the authors of the U.S. Constitution, were to disappear tomorrow, will you be able to say you did your part to stop it?”

Icon Charlie Daniels (with an S; no relation to Marty Daniel) also makes a strong case for the Second Amendment in the four-and-a-half-minute video in which he stars. “It’s very simple what the Second Amendment says,” he explains. “We have a right to keep and bear arms. Doesn’t say anything about what caliber we can have; doesn’t say anything about how many we can have.” Daniels sums up the importance of voting in favor of Second Amendment rights with the following statement: “If we elect people who want to take our second amendment rights away from us, we’re at their mercy. Every country that’s ever been taken over by a totalitarian government has been disarmed first.”

This year’s election has proved to be one of the most contentious in U.S. history, with candidates from both parties achieving record “unfavorable” ratings. But despite widespread divisiveness and voter apathy, it promises to be one of the most significant as well, given the very different directions candidates—presidential candidates, in particular—would like to see the country head. Rare Sighting Of A Daniel Defense GL/SSC RIS II

Thursday, October 20th, 2016

This is one of the most rare Daniel Defense RIS II Rails, the GL/SSC. This stands for Grenade Launcher, Sound Suppressor Capable. It’s slightly shorter than the M4A1 and was designed around a 12.5″ barrel. Only 125 were made. 100 went to SOCOM and 25 sold commercially. So if you have one of these, you own a unicorn.

Daniel Defense Teams with Industry Partners to Assist Law Enforcement with Training

Saturday, July 9th, 2016

Black Creek, GA – July 8, 2016 – Daniel Defense, engineer and manufacturer of the world’s finest firearms and accessories, today announced it has partnered with Ballistic Radio & 88 Tactical to offer a FREE Vehicle Close Quarters Defensive course to Local Law Enforcement Agencies in Georgia and surrounding states.

First, our thoughts and prayers are with the families and victims of The Dallas Police Ambush. First responders face more sophisticated enemies than ever before, and often times do so while under-equipped, and under-trained. We must as a country help protect those who protect us, and one of the ways that we can do this is by ensuring that the men and women who put their lives on the line have the best chance we can give them to make it home to their family at the end of the day. To that end:

Daniel Defense is pleased to announce that through our industry partnership with Ballistic Radio, will be offering a unique training experience from 88 Tactical’s William Petty, Trevor Thrasher, and Shea Degan, FREE OF CHARGE, to men and women of law enforcement. This will be a 4-day training event featuring Petty’s Vehicle Close Quarters Combat Instructor Program, and Thrasher’s Active Killer Interdiction program, which has been widely adopted at law enforcement agencies across the nation.

A final date has not been set yet, but as of right now it looks as if this course will be offered Quarter 1 of 2017 near our Georgia facility. There will be 20 FREE spots available, which should allow separate agencies to each send one individual officer to learn the curriculum, and take it back to train their department. More information, such as how to submit an application to attend the course, will be made available as we finalize details at the beginning of the week. For right now just know that we are with you, we support what you do for us, and we have your back.
