Carinthia Introduces Combat Clothing

Wednesday, March 9th, 2022

Granted, I saw a lot of cool things at Enforce Tac and IWA, but this is one of the most surprising, and most welcome. In what is an obvious evolution of Carinthia’s successful line of outdoor and tactical clothing.

May I introduce Carinthia Combat Clothing. Carinthia told me that the uniforms were developed in cooperation with special operations forces and have already seen operational use. The line consists of four pieces:

Carinthia Combat Shirt -> CCS

Carinthia Combat Trousers -> CCT

Carinthia Combat Jacket-> CCJ

Carinthia Combat Hood-> CCH

Manufactured from fast drying material, they will also be offered in flame retardant and/or equipped with vector protection. There are slots for both elbow and knee pads which will accept many currently available as well Carinthia’s new pads developed in conjunction with Komperdell.

They will be offered in three colors: MultiCam Pattern, 5 color Flecktarn, and Olive Green.

NATO Allies Train in Poland for Exercise Saber Strike

Wednesday, March 9th, 2022

BEMOWO PISKIE TRAINING AREA, Poland — The United States and Polish militaries held a closing ceremony for the Polish phase of exercise Saber Strike on Feb. 26.

Including approximately 13,000 participants from 13 nations, exercise Saber Strike is a U.S. Army Europe and Africa multinational training exercise in Eastern Europe held bi-annually since 2010. Saber Strike demonstrates how U.S. Army Europe and Africa can deploy combat-credible European-based units to Poland, the Baltics and Central Europe. Saber Strike provides training in a winter environment and increases air defense-interoperability within the Baltic Region, while increasing the host-nations’ ability to integrate U.S. capabilities and reinforces the alliance.

“During Saber Strike we’re conducting air and missile defense training with our NATO Allies,” said U.S. Army Col. Patrick Thompson, 164th Air Defense Artillery Brigade commander. “This training helps build inoperability among our NATO Allies and partners.”

U.S. presence in Europe and the relationships built throughout the past 70 years provide the U.S. strategic access critical to meet NATO commitments. Saber Strike is designed to ensure that U.S. forces and participating allied forces are trained, able to operate together and are ready to respond to any threat from any direction.

Saber Strike 22 was also the exercise debut of four prototype Maneuver Short Range Air Defense platforms. The M-SHORAD defends maneuvering forces against unmanned aircraft systems, rotary-wing, and residual fixed-wing threats.

“The unit is conducting combined arms training strategy tied with their new equipment training to ensure the system is fielded as fast as it can to get it out to the force,” said U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Greg Brady, 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command commanding general.

The 5th Battalion, 4th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, a part of 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command, is the first unit in the U.S. Army to field, test and receive the M-SHORAD weapons system.

“We’ve been testing the capabilities of the M-SHORAD and U.S. link capabilities to be able to transmit data from our systems and sharing that to the Polish Army,” said U.S. Army Sgt. Brandon Anthony, a vehicle commander assigned to 5-4 ADA.

“We’re sending data links back and forth with the Polish so we can get air pictures and be able to track aircrafts in the sky,” said Jack Potter, a gunner for 5-4 ADA.

On March 10, 5-4 ADA is scheduled to conduct a live fire exercise demonstration on the Baltic Sea coast of Estonia.

Training events like Saber Strike 22 are planned well in advance and are not connected to any current or ongoing operations.

High Speed Gear Celebrates One Year at Their Third Facility

Wednesday, March 9th, 2022

SWANSBORO, N.C. – March 9th, 2022 – High Speed Gear® is delighted to celebrate its 1 year anniversary of their third facility in Windsor, N.C. facility.

HSGI started in 1999 as a garage-based custom shop serving Marines at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., with custom equipment suited for mission specific tasks. High Speed Gear® has since grown rapidly and has earned its place as the largest full-time employer of its native town of Swansboro, N.C.  Since 1999, times have changed, missions have changed and High Speed Gear® has adapted to those changes to outfit service members, first responders and government agencies with the latest high-end tactical gear in support of their missions. To keep up with the sustained high demand for production, High Speed Gear® expanded its Swansboro facility with an additional two story building and quickly realized the need for a third production facility. So, the search began as the demand continued to climb.

In February of 2021, High Speed Gear® cut the ribbon that opened the facility in Bertie County, North Carolina. The additional facility has brought a magnitude of success on all levels of their business, especially from a supply and demand standpoint. Since then, “many” jobs have been created and filled in Windsor. This not only allows growing opportunities for the residents of Windsor and surrounding towns, but it allowed production lead times to be dramatically reduced.

“The opening of the Windsor facility was needed to meet the expectations of our end-users.” said Bill Babboni, HSGI COO. “We needed to increase throughput as the demand for our gear continues to grow. Since the opening of the facility, we were able to create new products such as the Apex™ Sling, ReVive™ Medical Pouch, Core™ Plate Carrier, Navigator Tech Pouch, and the ReFlex™ IFAK System to name a few. When we opened the facility, we also opened employment opportunities for residents of Windsor. We are proud of our High Speed Gear® family and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish next going forward.”

High Speed Gear® takes pride in the manufacturing of all products in the United States from materials made in the United States. Whether your mission is at home or abroad, High Speed Gear® is there to provide American made, Battle-Proven Tactical Gear.

Adams Arms Secures Shipment of Rifles to Ukraine, Also Raising Funds Through T-Shirt Sales

Tuesday, March 8th, 2022

BROOKSVILLE, FL – March 8, 2022 – Adams Arms, industry leading pioneers of piston-driven AR platform firearms, announces that the rifles they have recently built for Ukraine will make it in country and be used to support the efforts to fight the invading Russian army. Adams Arms has also designed a T-Shirt to recognize the Ukrainian Border Guard Unit stationed at Zmiinyi “Snake” Island. All proceeds from that sale will go directly to the Ukrainian National Bank’s war funds.

“Adams Arms has supported Ukraine and other international customers for years,” said Adams Arms President Jason East. “We have been assembling their latest orders for the last few months. From the onset of the Russian invasion, we have been working around the clock to ensure our shipment of firearms will arrive unmolested and in its entirety. We stand with the people of Ukraine and are proud to know Adams Arms products are going to be used to support the independence of a sovereign nation.”

In addition to shipping firearms to the embattled country, Adams Arms is raising funds through the sale of T-shirts. These shirts feature the emblem of the Ukrainian Border Guard Unit that showed unwavering courage and extreme bravery as they faced down a Russian Warship. Despite being offered the chance to surrender, and under almost insurmountable odds, they chose to fight. They let the Russians know their decision by broadcasting the now infamous words, “Russian warship, go f—k yourself.”

Support from Adams Arms’ customers has been strong with initial sales rolling in over the weekend and quickly out-pacing initial sales numbers on the T-shirt. For the latest updates and to learn more, individuals are encouraged to go to the Adams Arms website and follow its social channels.
