RAMPART Awarded $39M CAD Canadian Federal Police Pistol Replacement Contract

Ottawa, ON – April 22, 2026 — RAMPART Corp., Canada’s leading supplier of operational equipment to military and Law Enforcement end users, has been awarded a $39 million CAD contract to supply the Canadian Federal Police with a new duty pistol system.

The Federal Police Service operates in some of the most diverse and challenging environments, from remote northern regions to densely populated urban centers.

Following a competitive procurement process led by Public Services and Procurement Canada, Rampart has been awarded a contract to supply the police service with the GLOCK 45 MOS 7. The system includes the Aimpoint ACRO P2 red dot sight, Streamlight TLR-7X weapon light, and Safariland 6360RDS holster, delivering significant advancements in accuracy, reliability, and operational capability.

“This is a once-in-a-lifetime achievement for RAMPART and our partners,” said Mike Klein, President of RAMPART Corp. “Once fielded, GLOCK pistols will be used by nearly 95% of Canadian Law Enforcement personnel.”

BFG Monday: Upgrade Your Gear – Not Your Knees

Each year, the VA bears the long-term cost of joint injuries sustained in service, while investment in lighter load carriage systems remains limited. The weight carried by Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen doesn’t just impact performance in the moment—it reduces mobility, increases fatigue, and raises the risk of injury. Over time, that burden follows them home, affecting quality of life long after their service ends.

When troops are required to carry outdated government-designed gear instead of lighter Commercially-developed innovation, it not only decreases their lethality and survivability during combat operations but also drastically reduces their quality of life after they’ve served to protect our freedom. We believe that it is cheaper to upgrade to lighter equipment than to buy joint replacements.

This 2021 article from ScienceDirect stated that heavy loads “impact the biomechanics of human gait […] increasing the risk of musculoskeletal injury.” A handful of top-tier load carriage manufacturers focused on creating lighter gear but lighter kit is only practical if it holds up to combat use. A pouch or a lighter attachment system that saves weight but fails under field conditions is worse than useless, it’s a liability. This is why the material used to build Blue Force Gear’s patented Helium Whisper is as important as the design itself.

The FAST FTC Holosun is a purpose-built mount designed to bring the unique footprint of Holosun magnifiers into the FAST ecosystem. Specifically engineered for the HM3X and HM3XT magnifiers, it provides optimal alignment for a cleaner sight picture when paired with a red dot mounted at the established FAST height of 2.26” to the optical centerline.

While these Holosun magnifiers are also compatible with UNITY’s FAST FTC OMNI, the FAST FTC Holosun offers a specialized solution that expands the ecosystem of compatible optics. When pairing the HM3X or HM3XT with certain red dots—such as the Holosun 403 or 503 series on a FAST Micro—the OMNI’s versatile design can lead to a slight occlusion of the lower sight picture. The FAST FTC Holosun is purpose-built to eliminate this overlap, ensuring a true, unobstructed sight picture across these specific configurations.

The mount incorporates UNITY’s patented Flip-to-Center (FTC) technology to stow the magnifier securely below the sight plane and within the footprint of the weapon’s receiver, eliminating the snag hazards associated with traditional legacy flip-to-side designs. A force-to-overcome mechanism allows for rapid transition, moving the magnifier out of the way when not in use.

The FAST FTC Holosun also features UNITY’s integrated, low-profile FAST QD Lever for quick attachment and removal without compromising stability. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard coat anodized finish, the mount is available in both Black and Flat Dark Earth (FDE) and includes a lifetime warranty.

2026 SIG SAUER Relentless Warrior Championship: U.S. Military Academy Takes Back the Title

U.S. Military Academy at West Point wins the 2026 SIG Relentless Warrior Championship

NEWINGTON, N.H., (April 15, 2026) – SIG SAUER, industry leading manufacturer of cutting-edge firearms, optics, and ammunition was honored to host the 2026 SIG Relentless Warrior Championship (SRWC) at the SIG SAUER Academy. With eleven teams of one hundred and thirty-four competitors, the 2026 SRWC event marked the largest in the event’s history.

Cadets from the Air Force Academy, Coast Guard Academy, Merchant Marine Academy, Royal Military College of Canada, Texas A&M, The Citadel, US Naval Academy, University of North Georgia, Virginia Military Institute, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and West Point competed over two days among stiff competition. The event concluded with an awards banquet featuring retired SGM and Leadership in the Shadows author Kyle Lamb.

This year’s SIG Relentless Warrior Challenge put one hundred and thirty-four competitors through ten challenging stages, testing their skills in marksmanship, teamwork, fitness, and leadership through mission focused themes. After two days of competition in some of the best weather to date, the US Military Academy at West Point was crowned the team champion.

“I am incredibly proud of the performance our Cadets delivered this past weekend. Coming out on top against ten other high-caliber schools and military academies was no accident. We emphasize that being a proficient shooter is only the baseline; the true requirement is the mental and physical fortitude to overcome any obstacle in their path,” said Gary Salman, coach of U.S. Military Academy at West Point. “The lessons these Cadets learned this weekend are not confined to the range. These experiences build the operational capabilities they will carry into the Army as they assume leadership roles. Everything we do revolves around our core mantra: developing leaders of character who will fight and win our nation’s wars.”
