KAK Industry K-SPEC Recoil Reduction Buffer

The KAK Industry K-SPEC Buffer was developed with specific goals: reducing felt recoil and providing faster follow-up shots. With modern technology being applied to firearms, you’re likely aware of the recoil management solutions applied to many popular pistol operating systems. Recoil rods in pistols advanced from a single-piece recoil rod assembly to a dual recoil spring assembly with a compression guide rod. With our new K-SPEC buffer systems, we have applied this same concept to the AR15 platform.

The K-SPEC Buffer features an innovative recoil reduction system that absorbs and disperses felt recoil. Minimizing muzzle flip and kickback allows you to fire faster and more accurately by being able to stay on target more effectively.

The K-SPEC Buffer features a two-piece reciprocating buffer body and a captured compression spring mechanism internally, which works in conjunction with our flat wire buffer spring. The majority of the felt recoil is transferred into the buffer spring and then dispersed into the K-SPEC buffer internals. This combination of features helps to absorb recoil and distribute it more evenly and linearly instead of abruptly as you experience with traditional buffer systems.

K-SPEC Buffer systems are available for the AR15 in a variety of configurations including, Carbine length, A5 length, and Extended PCC length. Selecting which buffer you need is easy. Evergreen Innovations Manages All-Domain Network at Northern Strike Exercise

Company’s network solution enabled military exercise attendees to train with cloud-based AI for object recognition and satellite connectivity for Digitally Aided Close Air Support

TIMNITH, Colo.– Evergreen Innovations LLC (“Evergreen”), a tactical communications integrator, announced today that it successfully managed the All-Domain Network (ADN) during the Northern Strike 23-2 reserve component readiness exercise held July-August at the National All-Domain Warfighting Center, in Michigan.

Northern Strike 23-2, conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Defense’s National Guard Bureau, brought together more than 7,000 participants from across the United States—plus international partners—to train in expeditionary fighting, command and control, sustainment, and joint integrated fires.

And it was Evergreen’s ADN (called the Michigan All-Domain Network by its Michigan National Guard operators) that provided the communications backbone for the exercise.

“We were very excited to, once again, participate in Northern Strike,” said Chris Wallower, CEO of Evergreen Innovations. “Our ADN solution ties together third-party mobile ad hoc networking radios and fixed antennas, advanced integration software, and government common operating picture software, enabling geographically dispersed units to conduct complex operations.”

ADN was first implemented as the Michigan All-Domain Network in 2021, to provide units with real-time situational awareness, voice, and video. The following year, Evergreen Innovations was asked by its National Guard customer to incorporate commercial satellite communications, cellular backbones, and various common operating pictures into the network.

Since then, Evergreen has continued to expand the network’s capabilities.

During this most recent Northern Strike exercise, the ADN enabled Guardsmen and international partners to train with cloud-based AI for object recognition and satellite connectivity for Digitally Aided Close Air Support. At the same time, senior staff participated in a live telemedicine demonstration with remote medical support from across the state.

“Next year we’ll do even more,” said Wallower.

Additionally, the Air National Guard’s 2023-2024 Domestic Capability Priorities Book lists getting Domestic Operations All-Domain Networks fielded to the states and territories as a critical priority. This will translate into increased demand for Evergreen’s ADN.

“We’re excited to begin this journey with the Air Guard,” said Wallower. “ADN will empower the warfighter and save lives on the battlefield.”

Special Forces of the German Armed Forces to use Vector reconnaissance drones from Quantum Systems in the future

German drone manufacturer from Munich wins “FALKE” tender from the German Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw)

Germany, Munich, September 27, 2023 – Quantum-Systems GmbH, Munich-based manufacturer of dual-use reconnaissance drones that use multi-sensor technology to collect data for government agencies and commercial users, yesterday signed a framework agreement with the BAAINBw for the delivery of Vector reconnaissance drones.

Delivery of 14 unmanned aerial systems begins at the end of 2024

In November 2022, the German Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) published the project under the name “Framework contract for the procurement of remotely piloted reconnaissance systems, airborne, short range” – “FALKE” for short. The complex performance specifications of the competitive award procedure placed numerous requirements on the future supplier of the unmanned systems. Quantum Systems successfully submitted a bid and was able to conclude the framework agreement with the BAAINBw on September 26, 2023.

Delivery of the first 14 systems is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2024. In the future, the Bundeswehr will thus have a system for precise reconnaissance that can be deployed quickly and independently.

Requirements for availability, innovation capability and precise reconnaissance methods

The vertical take-off and landing capable drone type Vector provides the German Army’s special forces with a market-available tactical reconnaissance system optimized for their range of operations and meeting requirements in terms of range, flight time and sensor capability. Vector enables precise reconnaissance over a range of up to 30 km with a flight duration of up to three hours. The integrated ‘Raptor’ combi-sensor is equipped with an optical and an infrared camera, enabling day and night operations in all climates and under challenging environmental conditions.

For the operational tasks of the Army’s special forces, precise reconnaissance is a mandatory requirement.

With over two decades of military service and a deep commitment to veteran mental health and wellness, Chris VanSant brings a wealth of experience and passion to his new role.

Chris VanSant’s military career is nothing short of exemplary. He has served in various elite units, including the 75th Ranger Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, 82nd Airborne Division, and has completed 11 combat deployments with the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (Delta Force). His dedication to service and his remarkable achievements in the military showcase his unwavering commitment to excellence.

But Chris’s journey doesn’t end there. He is a staunch advocate for veteran mental health and wellness, drawing from his personal experiences with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, sleep disorders, and chemical dependency. He understands the importance of resilience and recovery, both through traditional and unconventional means, and he is dedicated to helping fellow veterans find their paths to healing.

In his civilian life, Chris served as the Chief Operating Officer for Tyr Tactical and was a valuable member of All Secure Foundation’s Board. Alongside his wife, Robin, and daughters, he actively supports various veteran charitable causes, demonstrating his commitment to giving back to the military community.
