Milipol Paris 2019: WeaponLogic Unveils, for the first time at Milipol, the WeaponLogic Eco Systems for the Management of Large Caliber Weapon System Fleets

November 14th, 2019

Utilizing Artificial Intelligence, the system delivers comprehensive usage data regarding the weapon’s operational status, ensuring optimized performance and a tactical edge

Milipol Paris 2019, France, November 19-22, Hall 5, Stand C038

November 11, 2019. WeaponLogic (Secubit) ? a leader in advanced weapon readiness and maintenance solutions for global military and paramilitary forces as well as law enforcement and HLS agencies ? unveils for the first time at Milipol Paris the WeaponLogic™ Eco Systems for the management of large caliber weapon system fleets. Utilizing Artificial Intelligence, the system delivers comprehensive usage data regarding the weapon’s operational status, ensuring optimized performance and a tactical edge. This solution for heavy weaponry is the company’s latest development, expanding its established line of systems for the management of light weaponry that provides precision, preemptive maintenance to customers in countries across Europe, North America and Asia. The systems for both light and heavy weapons will be presented at Milipol.

WeaponLogic’s advanced system, based on artificial intelligence, supplies data for maintenance as well as operational and tactical optimization according to actual use. The solution was already evaluated with outstanding results for several large caliber firearms including mortars, artillery and tank cannons. The system’s sophisticated algorithm collects and records comprehensive weapon firing data in real time and delivers updated status information regarding the current state of the weapon and the potential for future malfunctions, based on the degree of wear and tear exerted on the weapon during usage. This data enables the creation of a relevant, customized maintenance plan for each specific device.

The system consists of a Sensor and Applications.

WeaponLogic Smart Sensor – The sensor is a chip that fully integrates into any type of weapon: pistol, rifle, sniper rifle, crew-served weapon and mortar.  It comes in a variety of form factors to accommodate different firearms. The chip records and gathers information in real time regarding the use of the weapon ? including the amount and type of ammunition used, rate of fire, single or automatic shots, dry fires and drops, time signature, and type of weapon. WeaponLogic Smart Sensor utilizes AI to distill information regarding the weapon and its operational state. The sensor weighs only 20 grams and has over a million-shot memory.

WeaponLogic Applications – The Reader and Dashboard applications provide a complete weapon and operator profile. A smart algorithm processes a unique signal to define and analyze data gathered from all smart sensors.  The applications offer a user-friendly interface and an ability to manage the maintenance of the weapons, including but not limited to: round counts, assigned users, service history, service recommendations, armorer maintenance history, battery status, etc.

Both applications provide usage data and analytics reflecting the weapon’s operational status for preventive and precise maintenance, along with inventory management and tactical features.

WeaponLogic’s Head of Sales, Ruby Shasha, expressed great satisfaction with the company’s recent win, remarking, “We are proud to announce that, following rigorous testing, we have received an order from the customer for the supply of the WeaponLogic system for mortars to a European country, with the system already in operational use. WeaponLogic has been selected and is being used in a number of countries around the world ? rapidly gaining popularity due to its ease of operation, its significant impact on resource savings, and its suitability for a wide range of weapons and artillery.”

2020 Hot Shots Calendar Is Now Available

November 13th, 2019

This is it! The final Hot Shots calendar is now available. It’s been a great run and we here at SSD have been honored to be a part of such a great fundraising program for UK and US wounded, but everything must come to an end. This is your last year to get in on the calendar.

We’d like share some remarks from Hot Shots Director, Lord Mike Newman.

Welcome to this, the final installment of the now famous Hot Shots Calendar.

When we set out back in 2008 we wanted to try and create something different with the intention to (complete a year for each month of the calendar. Our aim was simply raise as much money for injured servicemen and women as we could during that time, however long it ended up being,

We’re proud to say that last year saw us hit that milestone of twelve years in publication along with 10’s of thousands of dollars/pounds donated to various wounded veteran charities.

With our mission complete, it’s our pleasure to bring you the final instalment as a ‘Greatest Hits’ mash up of all our proudest moments.

We’ve had many themes over the years and we fully understand it’s all subjective, so with that in mind, we will be opening up the whole archive in 2020 for you to purchase in print form or download so you can enjoy and keep forever.

We wanted to make sure we finished at the top of our game and we feel this is the best way for us to bow out…

As a group of industry friends, rest assured we have some future ideas for fundraising and will all continue to make sure that the aim of these projects stays on target and lives on in new pursuits.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the sponsors and friends over the last 12 years, as well as the many models, crew and photographers that have helped us pull this together in such a professional and tireless way!

Hopefully, (it is our sincere hope that) the money we’ve raised and morale we have generated along the way have made a difference!

That’s all for now, enjoy and watch this space!

Mike Newman

About the ASA:

The American Suppressor Association is spearheading the fight to legalize and deregulate suppressors, and are the front line defense against the anti-suppressor factions that want them banned! Over the past eight years, ASA has actively lobbied in 30 states, fought to ease the archaic restrictions on suppressors in D.C., testified in front of dozens of legislative bodies, hosted countless suppressor demonstrations for legislators, media, and the public, and funded research proving the efficacy of suppressors. As a result of our work, Iowa, Minnesota, and Vermont legalized suppressor ownership, and 18 new states have legalized the use of suppressors while hunting, proposed ATF regulations on suppressor manufacturers were stopped, CLEO sign-offs were removed from all transfers, and transfer times are again beginning to drop.

Brigantes Presents – High Angle Solutions – The Helix Personal Escape System

November 13th, 2019

The Helix Personal Escape System is a modular, lightweight and low volume micro rope system that gives users the capability to quickly descend or egress from a position. The system can be used for both personal descents, and to lower a single operator or load. This system has been specifically designed for military, law enforcement and emergency personnel to perform an emergency escape across all environments and operational theatres. The system has been designed for fast deployment, intuitive to use and have minimal training burden. The system contains the necessary equipment to do the following:

• Construct anchor points in a wide number of environments using a minimal amount of equipment.

• Protect the rope from damage.

• Descend or lower personnel up to 23m.

• Ascend the rope.

The system is certified to EN 341:2011/2D European standard for descent systems and ANSI Z359.4-2013 American standard for fall protection and fall restraint and has also passed additional, harsher testing that simulated worse case scenarios with heavily laden operators.

Key Features

• System contains a pre-rigged descent/lowering system. This uses 23m of 5.5mm heat resistant aramid rope with a rigging carabiner, a rope protector and an auto-locking load limiting rope controller all attached and ready to deploy.

• Extra rigging equipment included: An ANSI rated rescue hook and aramid sling that increase the options for creating safe anchor points.

• Ascent system: A rope ascender with an integral pulley pre-rigged onto a carabiner and foot loop that together allow the user to ascend the rope. The system supplied allows a fast transition between descent, ascent and back again.

• Storage/carriage: The system is packed in a molle pouch solution that integrates with current issue webbing. The components are supplied vacuum packed inside the pouch system to minimise maintenance and protect the components from the elements prior to initial use.

• Train the Trainer and Train the Operator courses are available to support the product.

Testing

• The descent system was tested to assess functionality at 40°C – the system performed as normal and the heat did not affect performance or operation.

• An unsealed descent system was submerged for 2 hours at a depth of 10m and then tested to assess functionality
