Lena Miculek Earns a High Lady Title for Team SIG at the 2018 SIG SAUER Pro AM with SIG SAUER Match Elite Pistol Competition Ammunition

(August 27, 2018) – SIG SAUER Inc. congratulates Team SIG member, Lena Miculek, for her first place finish in the Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC) Division at the 2018 SIG SAUER Pro Am Shooting National Championship held August 17th – 19th, at the South River Gun Club in Covington, Georgia. The 2018 SIG SAUER Pro Am marks the first competition Miculek used the newly released SIG SAUER Match Elite Pistol Competition Ammunition.

“This was my first time competing at the Pro Am Shooting National Championship and I really enjoyed the intensity of the competition. The fast pace really complemented my style of shooting which helped me earn the High Lady title for the PCC division,” said Miculek. “This was also my first competition using the new SIG SAUER Match Elite Pistol Competition Ammunition, and through 9 stages and almost 300 pieces of falling steel, this proved to be the ultimate competition load.”

To claim first place in the PCC Ladies Division, Miculek competed using a SIG SAUER MPX Carbine, ROMEO1 Optic, and the SIG SAUER Match Elite Pistol Competition Ammunition. The 2018 SIG SAUER Pro Am Shooting National Championship is a high-speed competition, with a challenging course of fire, devised of all steel targets, where the competitor has to continually move and reload.

5.11 Names Francisco Morales As CEO

Earlier this week, 5.11 Tactical’s longtime CEO, Tom Davin, stepped down from his position to assume an advisory role. I’ve known former Marine Recon Officer Tom Davin since he came to 5.11 in 2010 after propelling Panda Express to a billion Dollar enterprise. He’s a great guy who will continue to serve 5.11 in advisory role.

In his place, they’ve named Francisco Morales, who cofounded the brand with Dan Costa, back in 2003. Although Compass Diversified Holdings purchased 5.11 in 2016, Morales has continued to serve as President. He’ll be right at home in his new role as CEO.

5.11 also named Matt Hyde as Executive Chairman. Previously, Hyde served as CEO of Western Marine.

Composed of a proprietary composite mix with a carbon fiber frame, the ear covers meet NIJ Level III-A (according to NIJ STD 0106.01/0108.01) and weigh only 0.38 lbs. (172 g) for the set. The EXFIL Ballistic Visor provides low-profile, lightweight ballistic eye protection that attaches tool-free to the built-in picatinny rail at the front of the EXFIL Rail 3.0 system. It can be easily adjusted into three preset positions (down, up and stowed) and features a polycarbonate lens produced by Eye Safety Systems, a subsidiary of Oakley, Inc. The EXFIL Face Shield enables law enforcement officers and military personnel to carry just one helmet, eliminating the need to carry both a standard issue ballistic helmet and a dedicated riot helmet. Like the EXFIL Ballistic Visor, the EXFIL Face Shield is low profile, lightweight and attaches in the same manner to the front section of the EXFIL Rail 3.0. The face shield is similarly adjustable into three positions (down, up and stowed), allowing the wearer to fully utilize the Wilcox W shroud for headlamps, cameras, night vision or thermal imaging devices while also running the face shield. The EXFIL Ballistic Visor and EXFIL Face Shield both come standard with a flexible upper flange that prevents debris and liquid from seeping into the wearer’s eyes from the brim of the helmet.

The app allows users to easily monitor their energy usage in real time and to quickly see key information such as:

• How long will the battery last at present rate?

The app also allows users to monitor and update their Power Manager firmware version.

High Angle Solution – Brigantes Presents – Helix R3 Harness

One of the key requirements for specialist troops is the ability to ascend and descend through a vertical aspect.  This could be in mountain terrain, urban environment, maritime or from an airframe.  This often means using several different rigs and harnesses.  Helix have developed the solution to them all, which is a scalable and flexible system specifically focused for the military user.

The Helix R3 is a modular tactical harness system based on a EN358 PPE certified Riggers Belt with the option of adding lightweight leg loops to create a full sit harness. The belt by itself is rated to hold 15kN (1.5 static tonnes) for a minimum of 3 minutes and the combination of the belt and leg loops meets EN12277 Type C which is the normal standard for climbing sit harnesses. The R3 Riggers belt uses a very slim 45mm design that fits through a trousers waist belt loops and can double as a duty belt. The belt uses a fast release buckle that can be undone or adjusted quickly. The harness system is available in Black, Coyote Brown and Khaki Green.
