Beyond Clothing – Alpha Lochi Jacket

We first mentioned the reversible Beyond Lochi during Warrior West. I was fortunate to try one on during a recent visit to Beyond and it is super comfy. I really like the Navy Blue/Managee Grey colorscheme and the sewn batting style. There’s also a MultiCam/Coyote variant.

The A3 Lochi Jacket is designed for active use in cold environments, and is reversible for low-profile use in urban environments. Polartec Alpha Insulation transfers moisture away from the body to keep you dry and warm, while the DWR treated nylon ripstop shell protects you from wind and rain. Light, highly compressible, breathable, and fast drying, the A3 Lochi Jacket is a low-profile alternative to the A3 Alpha Jacket.

The MollyMe Pack is the newest pack from NZ-based TwinNeedle Gear. It features a roll top lid that won’t let water in and allows for varying loads. It also has an overload panel that will allow you to secure a helmet underneath or doubles up to be a rifle scabbard with several attachment points. A full PALS platform enables you to mount additional pouches on the pack. Rear covered access zip for hydration and comms. Removable back panel EVA foam and internal hydration attachment point. Remove the back panel and the pack will fold up and fit into a SA water bottle pouch. Can be mounted onto your vest or carrier with the TwinNeedle pack2armour kit.

Team MultiCam – Baja 1000 Post Race Report

MultiCam Brand recently posted a post race report on the 48th SCORE International Baja 1000 and the efforts of Team MultiCam rider Jeff Benrud. The starting paragraph can be read below:

The 48th SCORE International Baja 1000 is in the record books and it proved to be a very successful one for Team MultiCam rider, Jeff Benrud. The Baja 1000 is the longest point-to-point off-road desert race in North America where the participants will race from start to finish throughout the approximately 1000 mile distance only stopping briefly for pit stops. This was Jeff’s 3rd Baja 1000 with the previous 2 as part of a relay team on a dirt bike. This year, however, he soloed the entire race. Jeff is an Army Special Operation veteran and now teaches defensive and offensive driving capabilities to the military special operations community at American Offroad with his business partner and off-road racing legend, Ricky Johnson.
