Developed specifically for Law Enforcement duties, the new R1 Lawman flashlight from SureFire is rechargeable yet boasts 750 lumens. It also incorporates both tactical tailcap as well as head switches to increase its versatility.

It features three setting with run times varying –

High 750 lumens / 1.75 hours

The light also is user programmable to add a strobe effect used to disorient threats. In addition to the rechargeable Lithium Ion cells, the R1 will also accept standard CR123As but this will drop max output by about 33%.

CROWS II EOF Kit ADS Tactical

Wednesday, June 6th, 2012

The Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station or CROWS has done a lot to protect our troops from exposure to enemy fire during mounted operations. It allows a system operator to use a electro-optical/IR system to observe outside the vehicle and engage targets with an integrated weapon from as small as the M249 SAW or M240 GPMG up to a Mk19 40mm GL or .50 M2 HMG. The Army realized that these are lethal options and wanted to leverage the successes of non-lethal technologies used in the Traffic Control Point kit such as the BE Meyers GLARE.

The result is the Escalation of Force Kit Integration for the CROWS System. ADS provides these kits which integrate green laser technology from B.E. Meyers GLARE MOUT Plus lasers. The lasers emit an intense band of green light, disrupting a person’s vision and ability to drive a vehicle or aim a weapon. In addition to the lasers, CROWS II EOF Kits incorporate high-powered lighting from Surefire (Hellfighter), PeakBeam (MaxaBeam), or Xenonics (NightHunter), as a secondary means of visual warning. Naturally, a light with that much power pulls double duty as an aid in targeting and identification. Interestingly, the kits also feature the LRAD 300X. LRAD systems were recently chosen for use at the London Olympics for their ability to discourage unruly crowds. For TCP use, the LRAD also offers the ability to provide audible warning and hailing at distances of over 1,000M.

PCU Pocket Users Guide

Monday, June 4th, 2012

In concert with Kwikpoint, makers of waterproof basic language guides currently in use in theater, ADS is offering a pocket users guide describing PCU components, environmental conditions and a wheel to help the user correlate components with conditions. Although the aide memoire depicts the Block 1 version of PCU the garments of Block 2 are quite similar and function in the same way. In fact, it is a must for users of any multi-component environmental clothing system.

LiteFighter Full Spectrum 1 ADS Tactical

Monday, June 4th, 2012

This was one of our favorite items from Warrior West. Their Full Spectrum 1 system was designed by this Service Disabled, Veteran owned family business as a replacement for the issue shelter half and mosquito net. It’s designed specifically to set up on a cot and features a slightly larger footprint than the GI cot so that it will drape over the sides and stay in place. It makes a great, free standing mosquito net. As a shelter, it integrates a fly offered in several colors and incorporates an oversized vestibule to protect your equipment.

Power Forward Trinity Systems ADS Tactical

Friday, June 1st, 2012

Think a generator that can be powered by MOGAS, diesel, JP8, isopropyl alcohol, kerosene, propane or even booze is a fantasy? So did I until I saw the Power Forward. It’s one component of the Trinity Systems offered by INI Power.

The Trinity Systems are currently offered in two flavors, a 1000W system and a 2000W system and each consists of flex fuel power, generation, harvesting, and storage modules which are all man portable.

You can harvest power using partially discharged batteries as well as solar energy and store your power utilizing a battery bank included with the system. The system also comes with a lightweight, clear propane tank so you can monitor your supply. Additionally, there is a flexible exhaust tube that allows you to run the generator indoors if needed.

Right away, I saw some serious advantages. For one thing, you can use virtually any fuel so when you can’t run that cool generator that the contracting guy bought for you down the souk because you ran out of MOGAS, you could keep on going with the Power Forward generator. What’s more, you can mix fuels and it keeps right on ticking. Additionally, it produces the amount of power you need. You don’t have to run a big trailer mounted Gen Set with it’s associated noise, maintenance and other hazards. And, you don’t have to produce 1KW when you don’t need it, so this will cut down on fuel use. This means you are taking some pressure off of the log train resulting in fewer troops facing the danger of convoys to bring you fuel. In extreme cases, you can even scavenge for fuel thanks to the flexibility of the system.

Units and agencies can purchase the Trinity Series though ADSinc.com.
