I’ve been after Mystery Ranch to let me run their IFAK. It’s been under development and refinement for awhile and it’s almost ready to order (Kent says 60 days). As you can see it is a butterfly design that opens up to reveal your medical equipment.

It features a PALS attachment on the rear so you can attach it to your equipment.

It’s also available in a larger VLAK (Vehicle Litter Aid Kit) that is basically double the size of the IFAK. Mystery Ranch will also offer them kitted with medical supplies from North American Rescue.

SHOT Show – Mystery Ranch

Thursday, January 17th, 2013

Think of the new ASAP (left) from Mystery Ranch as a one day assault pack. Here you can see how it compares to its big brother, the 3-day assault. It’s a narrow design that isn’t any wider than your back.

What’s more, in addition to the standard frame, you can attach it directly to the rear of your armor carrier with quick attach buckles offering 1100 cu in of carrying capacity to your fighting load.

MR Spartan Live on Website

There are a few available in Black, Coyote and MultiCam with an additional run of packs available in November. At 1000 cu in the Spartan is MR’s smallest assault pack but it’s great for use in tight quarters. This single pull, panel loader doesn’t open all of the way so you’re gear won’t fall out at an inopportune time. It also incorporates the Spadelock system for internal carry.
