SHOT Show 22 – S O Tech Tactical

S O Tech is displaying their as-yet-unnamed small pack which is based on a pack used during the Vietnam war by indigenous forces.

The original ARVN Pack or Indigenous Ricksack had an X-frame made from steel, with a rivet in the middle. S O Tech made theirs from Tegris.

For reference this is a vintage ARVN Pack. you can see its lightweight cotton construction, twin outside pockets and side slots for 1910/M-956 Slide Fasteners.

Spiritus Systems has introduced a new laser cut pouch flap which facilitates its use with a wide variety of odd shaped items.

Here you can see how the edges of magazines catch on the flap of the Spud pouch, keeping them from moving around.

They’ve found a second function. It also serves to break up the outline of pouches, aiding in camouflage.

SHOT Show 22 – LMT MARS-H in 6.8TVCM

True Velocity has this LMT MARS-H in the new 6.8 TVCM cartridge.

6.8 TVCM is the commercial version of the polymer cases ammunition developed by True Velocity for the US Army’s Next Generation Squad Weapons program. Having recently received SAAMI approval, this cartridge has the same overall length as the 7.62 x 51 NATO round, but it fires a larger projectile at a higher velocity.

True Velocity, along with SIG SAUER remain as the two contenders for that program which promises to replace the 5.56mm NATO firing M4 Carbine and M249 Squad Automatic Weapons in Close Combat Formations. This is a photo of the RM777, the TV entry for the NGSW Rifle component.

According to TV, they plan to offer this rifle commercially. Additionally, other manufacturers such as Daniel Defense are working on firearms for use with 6.8 TVCM.
