Blue Force Gear Releases the All-New GRID Belt and Updated CHLK Belt

Thursday, October 27th, 2022

POOLER, GA—Blue Force Gear is proud to announce the release of two new duty belts: the all-new GRID™ Belt and the updated CHLK™ Belt.

Both the GRID and CHLK belts use MOLLEminus™ technology to create one of the slimmest and lightest MOLLE belts available. Blue Force Gear belts are optimal for OWB holsters, mag and utility pouches, trauma kits, and other MOLLE gear.

Blue Force Gear belts use a two-belt system featuring separate inner and outer belts. The inner belts are worn threaded through pant belt loops and can be used as standalone EDC belts. The durable outer belt, made from ULTRAcomp® and a rigid composite, attaches securely to the inner belt using a hook-and-loop interface.

Engineered for Comfort

Blue Force Gear duty belts are engineered for maximum comfort—and that’s not empty marketing hype. Inspired by the changes leather belts undergo after they have been broken in from everyday use, Blue Force Gear belts feature a 32-degree curve designed to mimic the contour of the human waist. The belts also feature a subtle outward cant from top to bottom, resulting in a more comfortable fit at both the waist and the hips. This makes them far better suited for long-term wear than typical flat-profile battle belts.

All-New GRID™ Belt

The GRID Belt is an excellent duty belt for most military, police, and law enforcement personnel. It is also an ideal choice for sports shooters, prepared citizens, or anyone looking for a battle belt who doesn’t need a belt with load-rated capabilities.

The GRID Belt incorporates all the load-carriage and design features from the popular Blue Force Gear CHLK Belt minus the specific load-rated capabilities required by helicopter assaulters. The GRID Belt comes with a patent-pending one-piece glass-filled nylon buckle that is significantly more durable than plastic SR buckles. Optional COBRA® Buckle Upgrade Kits are available and can be purchased separately.

The Updated CHLK™ Belt

Short for “Combat Helo Load-rated Kit,” the CHLK Belt revolutionizes modern battle belt design. Crafted around the needs of helicopter assaulters, it features the hardened points required to tether to the anchor points on a helicopter.

The CHLK Belt has an ANSI spec load-rated buckle, and the updated version uses a reinforced proprietary Dyneema®-nylon hybrid webbing. The new version also sports a removable molded glove hanger, and the closure of the inner belt now uses a G-hook for improved fit and a more secure connection.

The GRID and CHLK belts are available in MultiCam®, Black, Ranger Green, and Coyote Brown. The GRID Belt is available for purchase now on the Blue Force Gear website. The updated CHLK Belt is available for pre-order and will begin shipping on December 12th. Learn more at BlueForceGear.com/battle-belts

215 Gear Expands Offerings, Adds Sister Company, Alien Precision

Thursday, October 27th, 2022

215 Gear™ (215) is announcing big changes, in our commitment to American manufacturing. 215 is now approaching our 16th year of manufacturing, we are now proud to say we are a family/Service Disabled Veteran owned and operated company. From day one, 215 committed to making the products that the GWOT needed, but weren’t on the market.  We approached design with our unique background and developed solutions for real world applications, using 100% USA made materials and labor. We continue to be humbled when a unit chooses 215, amongst the sea of products out there.

215 will continue our tradition of working with the end user to develop custom solutions for their application. We are announcing our added capability of metal CNC machining to our portfolio of services. This capability greatly expands our ability to provide the end user with sewn and machined parts to better fulfill mission requirements. Producing metal parts, we needed a solution for coating these items. 215 turned to Cerakote, being widely known for making the toughest coating for the firearms and related industry. We received our applicator certification and brought in the added machinery to apply Cerakote productively, in house. This allows us to shorten lead times and known issues associated with third party coatings, such as anodizing.

Additionally, we are announcing a new sister company of 215, Alien Precision. 215 will continue to focus on the tactical gear market, while Alien Precision (AP) will focus on the EDC/accessory market. We are using 100% USA made metal and Cerakote to produce items for both companies, right here in Virginia Beach. We are excited to continue to expand and widen our aperture, as a company. We are upping our social media presence, creating content and updates for our followers. Check us out and follow us on: 215 Gear on Facebook, @215Gear on Twitter and #215Gear on Instagram.

We want to thank our loyal customer base for all of their support and feedback over the years. Without you, none of this is possible. We want to personally thank the other USA manufacturing companies that have helped us to achieve these goals: Moose at Cerakote, Robert, Nick and Stan at Phillips Corporation (Haas), Chris at Orange Vise, Frank at MariTool, Jeff, Marko and Eric at 5th Axis and David at Helical Tool.

To thank our Soldier Systems friends, we are offering a site wide discount code. Enter “SOLDIERSYSTEMS15” in the coupon code (while checking out), for a 15% discount. We have been with Soldier Systems from the beginning of this journey and truly appreciate what they are doing for the industry.

SKY HERO and AARDVARK Announce World’s First NDAA Compliant Interior sUAS Platform

Thursday, October 27th, 2022

La Verne, CA: AARDVARK and Sky-Hero are pleased to announce the release of the world’s first National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) compliant interior use tactical sUAS, LOKI Mk2US. The Mk2US is built to comply with the rigorous standards set forth in the NDAA and the recent Department of Defense black-listing of certain Chinese-made drone parts and technologies.

In response, Sky-Hero, the world’s leading manufacturer of interior tactical robotics, redesigned and resourced the LOKI Mk2 to eliminate all of the covered Chinese components and replace them with European or American items.

Speaking about this new drone, Yves Coppye, CEO of Sky-Hero, stated:

“We have been asked by many of our top users around the world to ensure that all major components are built by NATO countries. After two years of work we are pleased to announce that we have reengineered and redesigned these components and located American or European sources for them.”

Jon Becker, AARDVARK’s CEO, echoed this by stating:

“We are extremely excited to see Sky-Hero release an NDAA-compliant version of LOKI. While there are a number of products on the market that claim to be American, in reality, the large majority of drones are simply built with Chinese-made parts and at best assembled in the US. LOKI Mk2US has always been made by NATO allies and now every NDAA covered component will be too.”

The LOKI Mk2US will begin shipping in Q1 of 2023. LOKI Mk2 is sold exclusively in North America by AARDVARK. Visit LOKI.AARDVARKTactical.com to learn more.
