Their NobleTek insulation is safely and easily transported in the HotShot cartridges which contain 8 grams of Argon gas. Klymit offers several insulation vests including the Khameleon seen here. Ladies Choice Uniform Pants for Female LE Officers

Females in law enforcement may be interested in the wear test Elbeco is currently doing in conjunction with PoliceOne.com. If you sign up on line and are selected, Elbeco will send a pair of the Ladies Choice uniform trousers; you provide the feedback, and when the Wear Test is complete you keep the trousers. Several agencies have reportedly already been involved in their development, including Pittsburgh PD. These uniform trousers are intended to fit more comfortably and flatteringly (not sure how they could help but fit better than traditional pants worn by female officers without other options). They have contoured waistband wit side elastic, curved hip, modified seat and shortened front rise to accommodate female body styles. Other advantages Elbeco says these pants provide:
• Utility belt at natural waist provides better access to your weapon and can reduce back strain
• Curve at hip complements a woman’s shape
• Back pockets adjusted to waist for better access
• Reshaped seat for comfortable movement

Arc’teryx Unveils NYCO Combat Uniform

Arc’teryx LEAF unveiled the new Talos Combat Uniform at the Warrior Expo yesterday.
The Halfshell top is made from a combination of woven 50/50 NYCO sleeves and yoke and a printed 50/50 NYCO knit torso from Cyberknit. Yes, you read that right. The torso fabric is also in MultiCam. Additionally, the sleeves feature pit zips and snap cuffs.
The trousers are also made from woven 50/50 NYCO and have the same feature set as the Sphinx trouser such as webbing knee covers. The new uniform will be available in Spring 2011 in MultiCam. Arc’teryx plans to follow this up a year later with multiple color options. They are also researching new lightweight fabrics for combat uniforms that are showing lots of promise.

It is made from a combination of 100% polyester high-nap fleece for the torso and stretchable Polartec Power Dry for the for the sleeves.
