CMC Triggers Announce it is Enhancing its Business Model to Better Serve Distribution and Customers

Monday, November 1st, 2021

CMC Triggers made significant changes to staffing and sales to serve customers faster, smarter, and better.

CMC Triggers headquarters, Fort Worth, Texas.

Fort Worth, Texas (October 2021) – CMC Triggers Corp., a Texas-based, family-owned and operated company designing and producing quality aftermarket gun parts and accessories, is revamping areas of the business to become a more agile and proficient supplier of their products to retailers, distributors, and end-users.

During the pandemic, shoppers across the board relied more on the online shopping experience for everything from food products to firearms accessories. CMC Triggers President, Jack Biegel, quickly identified his customers’ changing purchasing habits, and responded with meaningful changes within the corporate structure.

CMC Triggers reduced its internal sales staff and is in the process of streamlining online ordering for retailers. As part of their new corporate strategy, CMC Triggers ensures all customers, including retailers and distributors, that the same high-quality aftermarket gun parts will continue to be available through a faster, better, and smarter system. CMC Triggers’ outstanding customer service will also continue to surpass customer expectations.

“In our highly competitive market, it is important for a company to respond aggressively, without sacrificing the quality of product and customer service,” Biegel stated. “We want to eliminate layers within our business to become nimbler and give our customers the best American-made products and service in a streamlined approach. There is one thing, though, that CMC Triggers will not sacrifice, and that is the amount of research and development, testing, and quality control that goes into each product designed at our facility. When we announce a new model or product, our customers can rest assured it meets our rigorous standard and can stand up in any environment from the range to the battlefield.”

Schübeler Technologies And Vita Inclinata Partner To Improve Crane Load And Helicopter Rescue Litter Basket Maneuverability With Enhanced Thruster Systems

Friday, October 29th, 2021

Fan Systems Customized To Adapt To Harsh Operating Conditions
Rome, NY—October 28, 2021—Schübeler Technologies, a high-performance Electric Ducted Fan (EDF) innovator and manufacturer, and Vita Inclinata (Vita), developer and producer of helicopter and crane load stabilization and precision hardware, today announced a partnership to adapt Schübeler’s highly efficient and robust electric ducted fan (EDF) propulsion system to the Vita Rescue System Litter Attachment and lifting system. The exclusive production agreement allows for the rapid scaling of Schübeler Technology’s solutions to meet Vita’s demand for rugged and reliable thrusters.

Witness the system’s real-world capabilities in the Black Hawk helicopter rescue ops training race, legacy hoist vs. the Vita Rescue System video.

“The need for precision control technology to stabilize crane loads and helicopter rescue litter baskets cannot be underestimated,” said Caleb Carr, president, and CEO, Vita. “To help us further limit the swing and oscillation associated with lifting and transporting loads, we needed a bigger EDF. Schübeler Technologies has agreed to customize their EDF’s so that now we have robust fan solutions that fulfill the stabilization needs for both aerospace and industrial load stabilization applications—notably improving safety and maneuverability.”

Rather than simply delivering a product to spec, the partnership is essentially an extension of  Schübeler Technologys’ R&D work. As needs arise, systems can be built for Vita to address countless real-world challenges. For instance, a helicopter operating in a desert environment needs an EDF propulsion system that manages huge quantities of dirt and dust, while a rescue mission conducted at sea must have EDFs attached that will need to function after being submerged in saltwater. These products must remain reliable after repeated use in harsh environments, under the most intense operational scenarios. Achieving this high level of sustainability involves significant real-world testing—something Schübeler addresses within its R&D function. The Schübeler Technology and Vita partnership will produce custom-built systems tough enough to perform in any challenging conditions.

“Vita has a very smart and unique approach to load stabilization,” said Daniel Schübeler, founder and chief technology officer of Schübeler Technologies. “We provide the aerospace know-how—at the same time we work on these very special propulsion systems which deliver very efficient and robust thrust, fulfilling a very wide variety of requirements to meet the needs of Vita Inclinata.”

Vita was founded in 2009 by Caleb Carr, a former high school search and rescue volunteer who watched a friend die in the mountains partly due to difficult weather conditions rendering a rescue helicopter’s basket hoist unusable. What resulted was an ongoing quest to find specific solutions to problems of stability and load management in high-pressure environments. Vita has built a team of engineers and field experts that gives them inroads into various sectors—including the military and search and rescue operations. Schübeler Technologies, with its own 25-year history of developing some of the world’s best aerospace and industrial propulsion systems, is a natural fit to help Vita fulfill their mission.

“Our reputation in the field of electric ducted fans brings clients to us,” said Schübeler. “And then we don’t disappoint the people. We deliver.”

Bianchi Announces New Shenandoah Convertible Holster

The hybrid Shenandoah provides IWB/OWB versatility.

Jacksonville, Florida – Bianchi®, a brand of The Safariland Group, a leading global provider of safety products designed for the public safety, military, professional and outdoor markets, today announced the availability of the Shenandoah, a new hybrid in-waist-band/outside-waist-band holster. The Shenandoah is an innovative option for those who carry micro-9mms and is optics ready.

“The Shenandoah is a bold representation of the new direction of Bianchi Leather,” said Eric Gasvoda, Vice President and General Manager for the Safariland Group duty gear division. “Bianchi is staying true to its roots with the leather build of Shenandoah, but we’re integrating new materials and customizable elements that allow for an increase in functionality for those who want flexibility from their EDC holster. This is the first Bianchi holster to have been designed with 3D printing, but we’re still building each one with the traditional craftsmanship that defines Bianchi Leather.”

The Shenandoah is built with a flat suede-backed full-grain leather face that incorporates an IWB belt clip, or two OWB belt loops. The back of the Shenandoah is made from Hytrel, a polyester that provides flexibility for comfortable carry and protection for the firearm. The cut of the Shenandoah provides ample clearance for slide-mounted optics.

Shenandoah’s belt loops and belt clip are easily swapped in a matter of seconds. The multi-fit capability of the Shenandoah comes from the The Pinch Retention Device, a trigger-guard retention system that provides added security palpable feedback when it clicks into the firearm trigger guard.

These new dual-carry holsters are available in tan or black leather. For more information visit the new Bianchi Leather website: bianchileather.com.

CoTCCC Includes the AAJT-S by Compression Works for Junctional Hemorrhage Use

Thursday, October 28th, 2021

BIRMINGHAM, AL – Oct. 21, 2021 – The Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC) has recently included the Abdominal Aortic and Junctional Tourniquet-Stabilized (AAJT-S) by Compression Works for use in junctional hemorrhage bleeding for U.S. warfighters and our allied partners around the world.

The Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC) is the pre-hospital arm of the Joint Trauma System for the Department of Defense. The CoTCCC and the TCCC Working Group focus all of their efforts on providing the best recommendations for training and equipment for our individual service members, combat medics, corpsman, pararescue and med techs going into harm’s way.

The AAJT-S by Compression Works is used to treat non-compressible hemorrhages by U.S. special operations units, army units and allied special operations partners globally. It is the only device that has been proven to save lives in both upper and lower junctional (axilla and groin) bleeding conditions and to treat pelvic bleeding.

The AAJT-S is cleared by the FDA, meets the CoTCCC criteria, and has been vetted, studied and published by the Institute for Surgical Research (ISR) and the 59th Med Wing of the U.S. Air Force researchers in San Antonio, Texas. The Compression Works device is also featured in over 64 peer reviewed publications in the literature.

In two independent research studies, the U.S. military found that the AAJT-S was equivalent to Zone 3 REBOA (Resuscitative Endovascular Balloon Occlusion of the Aorta), a resuscitation technique used by trauma surgeons in the hospital. The AAJT-S is the only device that has been shown to be equivalent to Zone 3 REBOA at the point of injury. The device is also able to be easily applied in the field by first responders, helping to stop bleeding and stabilize patients until they can reach definitive care. Whether used on the battlefield or in the pre-hospital EMS setting, the Compression Works device helps save lives by controlling difficult bleeding conditions.

“We are delighted to receive the support of the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care for the use of the AAJT-S for junctional hemorrhages and difficult bleeding situations,” said Scott Dodson, President and CEO, Compression Works, Inc. “This multi-functional life-saving device was designed for the military, has been battlefield tested, widely studied and is optimized for both military and civilian use applications to stop bleeding and save lives,” said Dodson. “We look forward to the AAJT-S becoming the standard of care for our warfighters and accident victims who would otherwise potentially bleed out from their injuries without this technology.”

The CoTCCC Committee chair explained in correspondence with Compression Works Inc., the manufacturer of the AAJT-S, that the device will be included and supported as products that are cleared by the FDA to treat non-compressible hemorrhages.

The AAJT-S by Compression Works is made in the United States of America and has thousands of devices in the market with U.S. special operations forces, allied special operations units and in the pre-hospital EMS segment around the world. OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – October 26, 2021 – Bushnell®, an industry leader in performance optics, along with RCBS and Hoppe’s, is celebrating pro shooter Melissa Gilliland’s strong finish at the PRS Southeastern Regional Finale, which took place at the Arena Training Facility in Blakely, Georgia.

Gilliland finished the match as Top Lady and 20th overall at the Finale. Her strong finish at the match combined with multiple top placements throughout the season also earned her Top Lady and 14th overall for this year’s Southeastern Regional Series. During the match, Gilliland used the new Bushnell Elite Tactical DMR3 scope with G4P reticle and relied on her RCBS reloading equipment and Hoppe’s gun care to see her through the finale.

“This new glass from Elite Tactical was designed with a lot of team member input, and it shows,” Gilliland said. “The improved reticle, the quick 0.04-mil floating center dot, the wide eye box on every magnification level…attention to details like these make the difference in PRS competition. They definitely made the difference for me this week!”

Gilliland continued, “When it comes to my reloading needs, RCBS is the only brand I trust. With the new ChargeMaster Supreme and Link dispenser, I know that every load will be consistent from start to finish and that’s accuracy you just can’t match.”

With her qualifying finish at the Southeastern Regional Finale, Gilliland will be heading to the PRS Pro Series Finale, which takes place November 6 in Raton, New Mexico.

“It has been an awesome season and I’ve really enjoyed all of the matches that I have shot as part of the Southeastern Regional Series,” Gilliland said. “I’m looking forward to competing in the PRS Finale next month and I can’t thank my sponsors enough for all of their support. My gear is second to none and I hope to be able to end the season on a high note.”
