5.11 Tactical Partners with USCCA To Expand ABR Academy Classes for 2024

More than 500 classes to take place at 5.11-owned retail locations

Costa Mesa, Calif. (Jan. 9, 2024) – 5.11 Tactical, the global innovator of Purpose-Built Gear™, today announced it will expand its popular ABR Academy in 2024 to host more than 500 classes in collaboration with the U.S. Concealed Carry Association (USCCA). Together, the companies will host the free instructional classes at 5.11 company-owned retail locations across the U.S. to provide tips, tactics and insight on readiness skills.

“Expanding the ABR Academy will allow us to better support individuals seeking to enhance their personal safety and self-reliance skills,” said 5.11 Tactical’s CMO, Debra Radcliff. “By partnering with USCCA, we aim to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate real-world situations and to protect themselves and their loved ones.”

The ABR Academy clinics will provide first-hand learning and guidance on topics ranging from building emergency preparedness kits and bug-out bags to self-defense and trauma care. Each course is free to attend and will be hosted by certified experts, including instructors from the USCCA and brand ambassadors from 5.11 Tactical.

Stefanie Leege Takes on the Role of Exhibition Director of IWA OutdoorClassics

Nuremberg, 1 January 2024: The IWA OutdoorClassics, the world’s leading exhibition for the hunting and target sports industry, is set to welcome a new exhibition director. Effective 1 January 2024, Stefanie Leege will take on the job in the team led by Rebecca Renn, Executive Director Exhibitions, who will continue to have overall responsibility for the show. Leege herself has already spent five years as part of the IWA OutdoorClassics team and has excellent knowledge of the industry, its needs and challenges. 

Leege brings more than a decade of experience in the exhibition and event segment to IWA. Between 2011 and 2013, the degree-qualified tourism manager oversaw the international Sales Partner Network at Deutsche Messe AG in Hanover, before her path took her to the metropolitan region of Nuremberg. Starting in 2014, she was responsible for sales for various trade fairs in the NürnbergMesse portfolio, before joining the IWA OutdoorClassics team in 2019. Until recently, Leege was responsible for strategic sales orientation.

Liemke Introduces German-Made Keiler 25.1 Thermal Monocular

EOTECH Launches the Vudu X Series Rifle Scopes

Available in MOA adjustments, the DP1 reticle provides the ultra-popular duplex crosshair while the BD1 provides additional circular ballistic holds at 2MOA increments for longer distances.  The turrets are capped to avoid any accidental adjustments and provide a simple zero reset feature making adjustments and return to zero fast and easy.  Branded front and back flip-up scope caps are included to provide protection against the elements.  Production and delivery are scheduled to begin in Q1 2024.  MSRP starts at $799.
