INVISIO Awarded GSA Status and Contract in the US

March 7th, 2019

INVISIO has been awarded GSA status and a Schedule 84 contract by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), the procurement arm of the federal government. The IDIQ contract allows federal, state and local government entities to quickly and efficiently purchase INVISIO equipment at pre-negotiated terms and conditions.
The contract was effective starting January 25, 2019 and the GSA contract number is 47QSWA19D0031. It is valid for 5 years with potential of three five-year options to follow.
The GSA Multiple Award Schedule 84 is the culmination of a rigorous solicitation process in which the GSA carefully evaluates companies to determine their capability for providing products to the government. The assessment analyzes a variety of a corporation’s capabilities, including organizational structure, performance history, customer satisfaction, and other source selection criteria.
In awarding INVISIO a GSA Schedule 84 contract, the US federal government has determined that the company is recognized as a preferred vendor and is fully authorized to conduct business directly with government agencies.
“We are very pleased to have successfully negotiated an agreement with GSA in the US. As a qualified GSA contract-holder we can now target our hearing protection and tactical communication products directly to all federal, state and local law enforcement agencies” said Ray Clarke, Head of INVISIO Communications Inc.  “We will be able to reach even more government organizations by marketing and selling our products though this GSA schedule. I believe this could be a game changer for us in the US market”.
The five-year IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity) contract, with potential of three five-year options to follow, was officially awarded on January 25 under GSA schedule 84, Total Solutions for Law Enforcement, Security, Fire, Rescue, Emergency/Disaster Response – 426 1G-Miscellaneous Non-Personal Law Enforcement Equipment.
“INVISIO Communication and hearing protection systems are world leading and ensures a good hearing protection while allowing the user to communicate in all environments with maintained situational awareness in extreme environments.
Since we opened our own company INVISIO Communications Inc in the US in early 2017, it has been one of our key priorities to have our own GSA schedule so that US government buyers can make purchases easily through our GSA contract.
I congratulate our US team with this great achievement” said Lars Højgård Hansen, CEO of INVISIO.

Enforce Tac 19 – LMS Gear Flannel Shirt

March 7th, 2019

LMS Gear is introducing a flannel shirt, to go along with Multi Utility Denim.

At the front you can see the asymmetric pockets with a regular flapped shirt pocket on the left side of the shirt and a small pocket with pen slot on the right. Interestingly, this pocket is accessible through the armpit of an armor vest. Additionally, midway down the front opening is a slot for sun glasses.

The shirt also features patched elbows for durability.

The sides of the hem feature a Cordura patch for durability, to avoid tearing when pulling the shirt for a draw from conceal.

At the left and right of the shirt, just behind the side seam are low-profile pockets which will accept a single 30 rd magazine.

Sneak Peek – FK BRNO PSD Multi Caliber Pistol

March 7th, 2019

I am in Nurnberg Germany doing IWA stuff and got a preview of a promotional video for FK BRNO’s PSD, their new Polymer, Multi Caliber Pistol, making its debut here at the show. In addition to the bottle neck 7.5 FK round, caliber changes to both 9mm and 10mm are as simple as a barrel swap

Right now, I’m only able to share these two images but I’ll get a lot more information once the show opens on Friday.

What are you really going to like is the price. Their all steel field pistol goes for about $7500, while this new Polymer version will retail somewhere around $2000.

Enforce Tac 19 – HK 433 Ver 5

March 7th, 2019

Heckler & Koch displayed the latest version of the HK 433 Carbine during Enforce Tac. Chambered in 5.56mm, this model incorporates an 11″ barrel and features H&K’s RAL8000 coloration.

They have submitted the HK 433 as well as a variant of the HK 416 for the Bundeswehr’s competition for a new rifle to replace the G36. Take a look at the version we wrote about one year ago here, and you will notice a few, slight variations.

For instance, the charging handle has been moved slightly to the rear and is now reversible from left to right.

Above are two closeups of the back up front sight and below are two of the rear.

The HK 433 combines operating controls from both M16 and G36 families.

You can see it is equipped with the H&K 30 round polymer magazine. It features a window with orange round indicator on the spring.
