I’m a huge fan of Merino wool and the 37.5 helps with moisture transfer. Additionally, like Merino, 37.5 is no melt, no drip, relying on activated carbon from coconut shells. It doesn’t hold nasty smells either.
There is a whole range of socks, but one you might want to look at is the 37.5 tactical defender medium mid-calf. I’ll call it the Goldilocks of their line. You can go up or down in features and performance from there, based on your activity, your feet, and the environment.
I’ve been wearing the low, athletic version interspersed with my other Point 6 socks, and like them a lot. All of my Point 6 socks have outlasted other brands.
Black Aces Tactical (BAT), an American manufacturer best known for its patented custom shotguns, is excited to announce the release of the company’s new PoBoy suppressor for both the 30 caliber and 7.62 models.
Said Lemoine, “Riding on the immense success of Pro Series 56 PoBoy suppressor, the customer demand for the both 30 Cal and 7.62mm suppressors has been nothing short of incredible. We at Black Aces Tactical have listened. Our larger caliber cans employ the same simple technologies found in our 556 models while being reinforced to take the punishment administered by the larger, more powerful rounds. And as always the end goal was to give the customer a suppressor they can be proud of while offering it to them for a price that is accessible and makes sense.”
At just $199 retail – with even the least expensive silencers on the market coming in at nearly over the price – customers are finally now able to purchase a quality suppressor at less than the cost of the required NFA tax stamp.
“For years, the suppressor industry has been producing an increasingly complex and costly product with little change in performance,” said Eric Lemoine, CEO of Black Aces Tactical states. “We were confident we could manufacture a simple yet rugged product that meets and surpasses expectations, while being affordable for gun owners.”
Named the Pro Series 30 and Pro Series 47 respectively, the “Po’Boy”, the suppressor features a number of details only found on much more expensive models offered by other manufactures. The “Po’Boy” not only quiets the report of an AK47 by 30+ decibels, it also is able to handle the more powerful rounds up to a 338 Lapua. It is fully automatic capable and the finish boasts 2000 degree cerakote. And in what might be Po’Boy’s trump card, the suppressor is fully serviceable by the end user using an AR15 stock wrench
“Through ingenuity and innovation, Black Aces Tactical has used a combination of time-tested design and modern technology to produce a suppressor that is as strong as it is quiet and affordable,” said Lemoine.
Viking Tactics, Inc’s Kyle Lamb recently warned us of their newest lightweight sling coming to market soon.
VTAC has joined forces with Grey Ghost Gear to design this super light weight tactical sling. For many years the VTAC sling has been the gold standard for tactical users, from Rangers, SEALS, HRT, and Special Forces. This is the sling you see them using.
Lamb says the sling has the same features as the rest of the VTAC slings with lighter weight and extremely durable materials. The shoulder strap is made from laser cut Hypalon, which material by itself is too sticky to slide across your shoulder, so the design team at Grey Ghost added Tweave Durastretch with a minimalist pad to make the sling comfortable and slick for easy transitions to your support side shoulder or when moving the carbine to your back for climbing or fast roping. Lamb stated that the sling will be a little more costly than their other slings adding, “but when you want light weight it is gonna cost a little bit more.”
They brought the entire team at Grey Ghost Gear to bear to get this project to become a reality. GW, Avery, Ryan, and Lindsey, and the the entire GGG team bringing years of gear design expertise to those on the front lines.

I know what you’re thinking, you often wear Kühl clothing while kicking back some Jägermeister, but why would they sue? The answer is this promotional campaign by Jägermeister.
Kühl holds trademarks for clothing, spring water and beverages and asserts that Jägermeister’s use of the term will suffer loss of revenue and goodwill as a result of customer confusion. As evidence of this, Kühl’s President issued this statement last week, “Using the trademarked name KÜHL to promote Jägermeister tarnishes our brand and is a clear infringement of our trademark rights. When I received a screenshot from a magazine publisher asking if KÜHL did a collaboration with Jägermeister, I knew this has created confusion and dilution in the marketplace.” Consequently, they filed a lawsuit against Jägermeister in US District Court in Utah, alleging trademark infringement and dilution.
