The new name realigns the brand with its core business of providing high quality gun parts and accessories to firearms enthusiasts nationwide, while emphasizing the company’s long-standing commitment to U.S. manufacturing. The name change is effective immediately and will be implemented across all products and brand platforms by early 2016.

“The new name, American Weapons Components, ideally represents where we came from and the future that we envision,” said Bryce Stirlen, president and CEO, American Weapons Components, Inc. “We are more committed than ever to protecting and preserving the Second Amendment, which is the driving force behind everything we do. AWC has carved out a market niche providing firearms enthusiasts with superior components that represent the highest quality and value for their custom builds. American-made products are also very important to our customers, so it’s a source of great pride to convey our dedication to U.S. manufacturing in our new name.”

AWC’s research, development and manufacturing departments are located in its San Diego County headquarters, enabling faster innovation and adherence to strict quality standards. The company will continue to specialize in rifle and pistol components, including 80% lower receivers, barrels, compensators, jigs, rails, rifle kits, safety selectors, stocks, upper receivers and more. The company will also continue offering made-to-order nylon tactical gear that is individually hand sewn in-house, including chest rigs, combat packs, plate carriers, pouches, rifle bags, rucks and more.

The name change is part of a recently announced corporate restructuring that will refocus resources and simplify business processes to support the company’s core firearms components business and yield improved efficiencies in customer service. invictus_mille_100_8_1024w

At the start of this 2015 Winter Season, San Francisco based specialty outdoor products company Prometheus Design Werx debuts their Invictus MILLE Edition coil sprung folding knife. Designed and produced for the (MILLE) Military and Law Enforcement user in mind, this folder’s blade is quickly deployed with only one hand via a GID inlaid push button and backed by a sliding safety to prevent accidental activation. This uncompromising build features a convex and fully contoured type III hard anodized, aerospace grade T6061 alloy handle precision milled on a multiaxis CNC, subdued deep ride pocket clip, handle fullers & jimping, grooved thumbramp, lanyard slots, and a high grade industrial tumbled finish on an all purpose 3.5” modified spear point 154CM blade. Produced entirely in the USA.

The Invictus MIL-LE Edition is the first production iteration of this signature, purpose driven, folding knife design from Prometheus Design Werx. The 1st production run is limited to 100 serial numbered pieces.

The Design and R&D Team at PDW states:

“The PDW Invictus MIL-LE Edition is our distinctive and iconic folding knife pattern produced with our Military and Law Enforcement customers specifically in mind. A superlative edged tool without compromise made for those who serve and protect.

Precision CNCed and ground in the USA, our Invictus folder design is an instantly recognizable aesthetic and styling, characteristic of a purpose driven, lifelong design direction, and ethos. This folder is inspired by and takes its design cues from the tried and trued millennia old spear point blade silhouettes, to the tapered capsule shapes of streamlined arcs of aerospace, and the purposeful fluting and texturing of the modern machine age as found in high grade tools to precision barrels. This MIL-LE Edition has a fast, powerful coil spring for rapid one-handed blade deployment when seconds count. This folder is a high standard automatic for users that need speed and accessibility when on patrol and on duty. This is one of the finest production automatic folders currently made in the USA.”

The Invictus MIL-LE Edition will be available to purchase by qualifying personnel today via their website, prometheusdesignwerx.com.

EOTech Sight Returns Overwhelming US Postal Service

December 17th, 2015

Received this anecdote regarding the return of EOTech sights for refunds.

Had an interesting conversation with the head of the Liberty St. postal office in Ann Arbor, MI today. That office is responsible for handling all the mail going to EOtech returns in Ann Arbor, MI. I sent my EXPS2-0 in for a refund that was approved and it wasn’t showing as delivered yet, and was supposed to get there on Dec 8.
Today the guy at that office called me and apologized for not being able to locate it. They believe it was delivered but the carrier forgot to scan it because of the volume of packages being sent there.

Apparently they are getting 2 USPS truck loads a day in volume. Enough that USPS had asked EOtech to send a truck to the USPS office to come get all the packages.

This is for their Returns Dept. There are that many going back there.

Kinetic Development Group is proud to introduce the latest addition to their SIDELOK family of mounts, the new Trijicon MRO mount. This lightweight mount utilizes a lower 1/3 co-witness. In an exclusive partnership with Rainer Arms, the New MRO mount will be initially available at their website for a limited time.

Specifications:
