Gunfighter Moment – Larry Vickers

November 29th, 2014

Consider the source; be careful what you believe on the Internet in regards to firearms, their history and implementation. Although plenty of solid information exists on the web, a lot of wrong, misleading and potentially dangerous information and advice is spread around as if it were facts carved in stone. I literally see multiple examples of this every single day on the web.

My advice is consider the source and cross check. In addition your own verification, thru experience if possible, usually points you in the right direction.

Small Arms Journal has published a great story entitled “Barrel Length Studies in 5.56 Weapons” where they investigate the effects of bore pressure upon projectile barrel exit of varying barrel lengths. They go into detail on how they prepared the test and how they collected the data as well as the results. A fine piece of work.

The SICC Belt Mk2 is Platatac’s update on the classic SICC belt. The primary addition to the updated belt is an additional column of MOLLE-compatible webbing to better support the attachment of pouches, which makes the SICC Mk2 an even more stable platform for a pistol holster. Manufactured from high strength, abrasion resistant webbing, and featuring an aluminum Cobra Buckle, the SICC Mk2 is also great for running mag pouches, multiple utility pouches for general use, or just holding up a pair of pants.
