Treaper Ltd’s 3HGR Carrying Sling and Harness will be on display at IWA 2014. The sling will be found at the SCE Consulting & Equipment stand in hall 9, stand 9-444. Lauri Kakkonen, the developer of the 3HGR, will be there to answer questions about the product.

As a reminder: the 3HGR is a combination sling and gun rest with an adjustable support strap. The support strap allows the user to quickly attach their rifle to a tree, post, or other similar object for additional stability. A flexible spandex component in the 3HGR enables the adjustment of the firing line and the ability to shoot a moving target while strapped to a support.

Warrior Expo – Daniel Defense

Wednesday, March 5th, 2014

At SHOT Show, Daniel Defense introduced their Rock & Lock attachment system for Mil Std 1913 rails. They’re showing it at Warrior Expo as a simple to use means to attach accessories to M4s. This new design moves from a separate clamp and mount to a single-piece design.

This is the 1 O’Clock offset mount and as you can see, it’s a one-piece design with a single, flat-tip tightening bolt.

This is the new Offset Flashlight mount. This model is a bit more streamlined with the light closer to the boreline.

And this little beauty is a Rail Mount QD Swivel Attachment Point. I don’t know how many times I’ve picked up a carbine with nowhere to attach a sling. This QD Attachment Point is anti-rotation and fits right to the rail. A few twists of a screwdriver and it’s in place, where you want it.

These are low cost solutions that allow the shooter to quickly adapt new accessories to his carbine. Check them out.

While it’s been around awhile, there continues to be a demand for the AN/PEQ-11A.

Also referred to as a Dial 100G, it features a Green laser pointer as well as a dual collimated IR Pointer and illuminator. Designed for use with crew served weapons at NSW’s Special Boat Teams, the IR pointer stays in the center of the IR flood which offers 55 Deg coverage up to 5 km.

Dual Powered Aviation Mount or DPAM is the latest thing from Wilcox Ind. Designed as a replacement for the issue plastic ANVIS mount, it is manufactured from Aircraft grade aluminum and glass filled polymer. In addition to internal power it also offers a low power indicator option. Naturally, it can also connect to the issue rear mounted battery pack.

It connects via an adapter to standard NVG shrouds. Additionally, they have introduced a shroud for the HGU-56/P helmet.

Warrior Expo – MATBOCK

Wednesday, March 5th, 2014

After a long wait, I understand that the Rigid Lightweight Integrated Field Transport (R-LIFT) will finally be available for order. Weighing in at 6.5 lbs, it breaks down for storage making it a great option for a small unit rigid litter.

Warrior Expo – Lighter Than Air Systems

Wednesday, March 5th, 2014

Imagine having your own aerostat. That’s exactly what LTAS offers. It can support not only EO/IR sensor pods but also communications relay.

20140305-105503.jpg

Additionally, they offer a mast mounted ISR system as well as a unique tethered rotary wing unmanned aircraft system. Available in two models the Electric Tethered Aerial Platform and Liquid Tethered Aerial Platform are both tethered for fuel as well as data via the umbilical. That’s right, the launcher pumps either electricity or a combination of fuel and air to the UAS so it can stay aloft indefinitely. It can also stay aloft while the trailer mounted launcher is moving so it can be integrated into a convoy for overmatch and comms relay.
