BFG Stockings “Tactical Santa Socks”

These Berry compliant stockings are made from genuine 500D CORDURA. Each is approximately 15″ long and 5.5″ in diameter. erfect amount of stocking stuffers including a Vickers Sling in and still hang securely by the sewn external loop. The top is made of 1.5″ loop field for morale patches because if it didn’t have patches – these would just be “Santa Socks”.

The BFG Stocking is available in two colors – Multicam with Sand loop field at the top or Coyote Brown with the rare ATAC-S Arid loop field.

US Army Officially Cancels Interim Combat Service Rifle Solicitation

Earlier today, Army Contracting Command issued this official cancellation for the full-auto fire capable, 7.62mm Interim Combat Service Rifle, bringing to a close this controversial initiative which began early this year. This cancellation also clears up any confusion over the true status of the program.

This notice is to inform interested parties of the cancellation of the Commercial Opportunity Notice (CON) for the Interim Combat Service Rifle (ICSR), under CON W15QKN-17-Z-0ANP due to a reprioritization of funding previously allocated for the ICSR.

Resulting from a change in strategy, the Government is reallocating the ICSR funding to the Next Generation Squad Weapon (NGSW). The NGSW will be a long term solution to meet the identified capability gap instead of the ICSR, which was an interim solution.

Unfortunately, the assertion that the Army is reallocations the funds to NGSW is a bit of a stretch considering the program is only in its infancy, and the funds to procure ICSR would have been spent in the near-term, while NSGW will need to be funded in the out years. DoD procurement Dollars can’t be kept in a bank to be spent later.

Although the cancellation was just formally issued, testing ceased almost before it had started after multiple companies jumped through hoops in August to answer the Army’s call for this rifle.

In a speech during last month’s AUSA Annual Meeting in Washington, DC, Army Chief of Staff, GEN Mark Milley alluded to a new path forward, calling for new small arms which offer a “10x improvement over any existing current system in the world.”

It is our understanding that any near-term requirement for a 7.62mm capability at the squad level will be fulfilled by the directed requirement for 6069 examples of the H&K G28 rifle, to be employed in the Designated Marksman role. This capability is a derivative of the M110A1 CSASS program.

Milipol 17 – Good Guys In Bad Lands

At last week’s Milipol Exposition in Paris, I met the founders of the Italy-based international military/LE chaity, Good Guys in Bad Lands.

Good Guys in Bad Lands was born in 2012 on Facebook by an Afghanistan Veteran as a page to commemorate Fallen Soldiers worldwide. These days they are a charity, raising funds via auctions and the sale of memorabilia to train local agencies, provide support to the survivors of fallen service and LE members, and support those with service related PTSD. They have several industry partners such as Garmin, which is offering a special version of their tactix Bravo.

Milipol 17 – NFM Group Introduces Hellhound Grey

Hellhound Grey has joined Coyote Brown, Raptor Green, Raven Black and MultiCam as color choices for NFM products.

It’s great to see the clothing side catch up with the armor which was first to adopt Hellhound Grey. Here, you can see a THOR carrier along with GARM combat clothing, all in the same color. The gloves are Mechanix Wear in Wolf Grey which also gives you an idea of how Hellhound Grey will blend with Urban Wolf Grey. These Grey hues have become very popular in Europe, particularly with LE CT organizations.

Milipol 17 – Helikon-Tex Previews Boots

Helikon-Tex displayed prototypes of a possible expansion into footwear. It’s a natural progression as they add more and more categories to their line. The current models are more focused on the LE amd security sectors than military customers, but if they do get into footwear, I’d expect them to add other models as well.

I’ve been impressed with the amount of new products coming out of Helikon-Tek these past few years. What do you think?

CMC’s Match Precision Barrels are the ultimate upgrade drop in barrels for Gen 3 & 4 Glock® 17,19 and 34 Pistols. Our Match Grade barrels are precision machined from Certified, DFARS compliant; pre hardened 416R premium grade stainless steel, to extremely tight tolerances and exacting details.

416R stainless steel is recognized for its corrosion resistance, machinability and high tensile strength; it is the industry standard for premium Match Grade barrel manufacturing.

CMC’s propriety In house machining, production and Quality control inspection process’s allow us to attain an ultra-precise barrel with enhanced slide fit & lock up for improved accuracy.

Our barrels are 6 groove, cut rifled, 1:10 Twist Right Hand, fully QC inspected, double honed (rough and finish) to produce the smoothest bore possible, with a Max Roughness Average (RA) of 12. Finished bore dimensions are held to +/- 0.0005″ tolerance from nominal groove and bore dimensions but the dimensions are uniform to within 0.0002 for maximum consistency, accuracy and quality.

SAAMI, Match Grade specification chambers, precision cut and finished to a maximum Roughness Average (RA) of 16.
The pre hardened 416R stainless steel is stress relieved to an exacting recipe after rifling and final hardness is 38-42 Rockwell C before final barrel profile machining is completed.

Barrels are bead blasted to create a satin finish prior to plating and are available in 3 finish options.
-Stainless , uniform Satin Blast Finish with ultra- low friction hBN (Hexagonal Boron Nitride) Bore & Chamber
-Bronze TiCN, with ultra low friction hBN (Hexagonal Boron Nitride) Bore & Chamber
