Force N Force is a brand under ATK Speer LE that deals in training and simulation rounds. Their range of 9mm training cartridges comes in blanks and marking and unmarking. The marking rounds utilize a glycerine-base which easily cleans off surfaces and clothing.

They also manufacture their own drop-in bolts for AR-15 style rifles along with 5.56 training ammunition. This training ammo also works with simulation rifles.

All their cartridges are primer only, which reduces report and introduces no fouling to the firearm. Force N Force ammunition also has a 1 ft safety distance for all ammo.

ADS Inc Wins USAF Non-FR Combat Shirt Contract

Warrior Expo – Duckworth

Monday, March 10th, 2014

Thanks to the guys at DriFire, I had a chance to check out a new line of clothing made from American wool. Look for more on this exciting brand soon.

Duckworth

The benefits of wool are well known; warm even when wet, naturally anti-microbial and no-melt no-drip. Plus, in this case, it’s grown, processed and manufactured right here in the USA.

Warrior Expo – Watershed

Monday, March 10th, 2014

Watershed has been producing the SOF Waterproof Bag System in both SEAL and SWCC variants. The SEAL version consists of 5 bags and the SWC version, just 3. Fairly recently, the NSW had Watershed update the kits.

First up, they’ve updated the Large Pack Cover to the Kodiak V2. The waterproof zipper now runs North/South making it easier to get into and these will now be stocked at SOFSA and can be requisitioned by authorized users in conjunction with a Granite Gear Chief Patrol Pack.

Kodiak Ver 2

This is the new liner for the issue 3-Day Assault Pack by Mystery Ranch. It integrates a roll top closure and inflation tube. In fact, inflation tubes are standard on the entire set.

3-DAP Liner

The new addition is a Mil-Spec version of the popular Ocoee waterproof duffel. It integrates belt loops and can be worn in front, around the waist, for water jump ops.

Additionally, they have updated the Pro-Mask Bag to accommodate the M53 Mask/ It retains the drop leg carry strap.

Not shown is the Weapon Bag.

The kits are offered in Black and Alpha Green.

Warrior Expo – Mobile Fitness Equipment

Monday, March 10th, 2014

I remember attending a trade show 10 years ago and seeing the TRX which is a compact workout kit many in the military now deploy with for use in areas with no gun facilities Then, last week, I ran across this black 8′ x 8′ x 8′ shipping container at last week’s Emerald Coast Warrior Expo near Hurlburt Field, Florida. It brings deployable fitness to a whole new level.

The crew set up the self contained Mobile Fitness Unit in a matter of minutes.

MFU Winch

The sides are raised and lowered via an electric winch and cable. A small generator powers the winch as well as electric lights when shore power is unavailable.

MFU Rack

Everything is then easily into place.

MFU 1

While this model was mounted to a trailer (they towed it all the way from their hometown of Boston to Destin, FL), you can easily pick it up and put it down wherever you like, just like other shipping containers.

It literally looks like a gym once it’s fully deployed and serves as a great focal point for deployed fitness.

The Mobile Fitness Unit I saw was fully outfitted with a variety of free weights and Olympic barbells along with Kettlebells, Ropes, Medicine Balls and Gymnastic rings. I also noticed several TRX mounted to the pull up bars which brought this whole thing full circle for me. Ten years ago I picked up a couple of TRX for some teams I was supporting that deployed around Afghanistan. If I were still doing that for a living, I’d certainly take a look at the Mobile Fitness Unit for my deployed troops.
