In honor of PTSD Awareness Month, Princeton Tec, manufacturer of headlamps and personal lighting for the outdoor, tactical and industrial markets, is offering a limited edition of the Vizz and the Remix RGB lights with Murdock Webbing in MultiCam® Black. A percentage of the proceeds from each purchase will be divided between SOC-F, and Warriors Heart Foundation – two organizations dedicated to providing the help for our heroes.

Waterproof, durable, bright and versatile: the Vizz headlamp makes a great partner in any situation. The Vizz’s combination of durability and power make it an ideal choice for any demanding environment.

Our feature loaded Vizz includes a Maxbright LED that creates a powerful spot beam for longthrow illumination, a pair of white Ultrabright LEDs to deliver a flood beam, and two red Ultrabright LEDs handle close-range lighting while preserving night adjusted vision.

Regulated circuitry delivers consistent light output over an extended period of time. When not in use the Vizz can be locked to prevent accidental turn on, and the translucent switch acts as a low battery indicator.

The Remix RGB should be your go-to when runtime is crucial. The Remix features an astounding 43h runtime on High, by far the best in it’s class. Our Remix RGB headlamp has red, green, and blue light clusters to best suit your individual needs. Equipped with an asymmetrical single arm bracket, easily accessible battery door enclosure, and large push button switch. The end result; true versatility in a compact, water resistant, and self-contained package.

Milrem Robotics and FN Herstal Demonstrate Intelligent Combat UGV at Eurosatory

Wednesday, June 15th, 2022

The European leading robotics and autonomous systems developer Milrem Robotics and the leading firearms manufacturer FN Herstal demonstrate the THeMIS Combat unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) equipped with the deFNder® Medium Remote Weapon Station (RWS) and intelligent functions at Eurosatory 2022.

The THeMIS Combat UGV provides direct fire support for manoeuvre forces and acts as a force multiplier. With the deFNder® Medium remote weapon station, it offers high precision over wide areas, day and night and increases stand-off distance, force protection and survivability for dismounted soldiers.

The THeMIS UGV is equipped with Milrem’s Intelligent Functions Kit (MIFIK) that allows autonomous mobility such as follow me, return home, point-to-point navigation and obstacle detection and avoidance. Autonomous functions are strictly limited to mobility only. The weapon system is controlled only by a human operator.

“Being part of many combat UGV assessment programs around the globe we have seen that these systems considerably increase the capability of units, especially small units,” said Cpt (res) Jüri Pajuste, Defence Research and Development Director at Milrem Robotics. “Their benefit comes from higher firepower and mobility and most of all through changing tactics. UGV’s are not just technology gadgets, but useful tools to win conflicts,” Pajuste added.

“We are proud to demonstrate the capabilities of our deFNder® Medium on Milrem Robotics’ THeMIS this year again”, said Igor Klapka, VP Systems for FN Herstal. “The number of applications addressed to with our RWS is growing to successfully include unmanned ground or aerial vehicles, and radio-frequency control, whilst the armament remains operated by the human operator. The deFNder® Medium is a stabilized RWS capable of automatically tracking and classifying potential targets, in particular to overcome the latency constraint of any wireless communication of UGVs.”

The THeMIS Combat will be demonstrated twice a day at the demonstration area during Eurosatory 2022.

Teaming with Mercedes-Benz and ACS: Rheinmetall Presenting Caracal Airborne Vehicle Family

Wednesday, June 15th, 2022

The Eurosatory 2022 trade fair will see the premiere of the Caracal airborne vehicle family. In partnership with Mercedes-Benz and ACS Armoured Car Systems, Rheinmetall has tailored the new versatile and highly mobile 4×4 vehicle family to the requirements of platforms for airborne or special operations units. Now the new vehicle system, designed to the highest Original Equipment Manufacturer standards, will be presented for the first time to a wider circle of professionals.

The new family of airborne Caracal vehicles is based on the latest G-class chassis for rescue and special operations. The Caracal features maximum mobility, a lightweight design and optionally mountable protection elements for countering ballistic and landmine threats. Its 249 horsepower, six-cylinder Euro III diesel engine gives the 4,900 kg vehicle a top speed of 140 km/h.

The Caracal’s compact design makes it possible to airlift up to two vehicles in the cargo hold of a CH-53K King Stallion or CH-47F Chinook transport helicopter, which can also carry it as underslung cargo.

Thanks to its unique modular design and two available wheelbases, the Caracal can be employed in a variety of roles during airborne operations – as a basic troop carrier or medical support vehicle, for example, or as supply vehicle – all on one automotive platform.

The Caracal will be ready for full-scale production starting in 2023. Rheinmetall offers full lifecycle support for a period exceeding twenty years.

Eurosatory 2022 takes place in Paris 13 to 17 June. Under the motto “Move – Sense – Strike”, Rheinmetall is showcasing part of its comprehensive range of products and activities there. Occupying an exhibition area of around 3,000 square metres, Rheinmetall’s presence this year will be its biggest ever at Eurosatory. The emphasis is on reconnaissance capabilities, networkability, mobility, survivability and lethality on the battlefields of the future. We look forward to welcoming you at Stand F241-240 in the outdoor area behind Hall 6!

S.O.Tech 3 Day Assault Pack: Brushstroke

Tuesday, June 14th, 2022

The Three Day Assault Pack is nothing new to the American Warrior – the size of the load dates back to the American Revolution. It came of age for our generation with Eagle’s AIII pack and every unit has requested a derivative design ever since. Our Three Day Assault Pack was designed for Special Operations personnel who wanted a lower profile to blend into civilian operational environments.  Our pack carries the 3 day load, but the external box pockets have been shifted inside and the profile was morphed from the kid’s school bag shape to a sport bullet shape.

Go Bags go live on sotechtactical.com main page on 6/17 at 12pm PST. $180. Limit 1 per customer.
