The waist features a Hook and Loop closure.

The OPS Direct Uniform Top is cut from New A-TACS iX Camo 50/50 NyCo. Additional features include top and side entry chest pockets for easier access while wearing body armor, Slanted shoulder pockets with Velcro Panels for patches. The sleeves also feature integrated removable elbow pads. There is a fill-zip closure in the front and four pockets on the arms. Completely re-designed for a better fit.

FBI HRT Adopts Aimpoint T-2

The FBI’s Hostage Rescue Team and Defensive Systems Unit are now being issued the Aimpoint Micro T-2 and Micro H-2, respectively. This seems to be a direct result of the recent fallout regarding the issues with EOTech optics.

Federal Burearu of Investigation Selects Aimpoint Micro Sights for use by elite teams

Chantilly, VA – November 24, 2015 – Aimpoint, the originator and worldwide leader in electronic red-dot sighting technology, has announced that the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is now issuing Aimpoing Micro Series Sights to agents in the Hostage Rescue Team (HRT) and Defensive Systems Unit (DSU).

The FBI conducted rigorous testing on optics from a wide variety of manufacturers. Following this selection process, the Aimpoint Micro T-2 and Micro H-2 were authorized as issued optics. The Micro T-2 was chosen for use by the HRT, and the Micro H-2 was selected by the DSU.

Contracts were awarded via competitive bidding process, and Aimpoint Dealers began shipments to the FBI in July, 2015.

B-TEMIA Initiates Pivotal Clinical Trial To Support Commercial Launch Of Keeogo In The U.S.

Quebec, November 23, 2015 – B-TEMIA Inc., the market leader in human augmentation, today announced that it has initiated a multi-centre pivotal clinical trial, aimed at demonstrating the superior clinical benefits and safety for home use of its powered assistive DemoskeletonTM technology, called Keeogo, for patients suffering from reduced mobility due to their medical conditions. Led by Principal Investigator, Dr. Chris A. McGibbon, PhD, from the University of New Brunswick’s, Faculty of Kinesiology and Institute of Biomedical Engineering, the study is expected to generate the required data to support the submission of a 510(k) pre-market notification to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 2016, a prerequisite to start commercialization in the United States.

Light The Night With Crimson Trace

Hawaii Department Of Public Safety Awards Contract For SIG SAUER P320

NEWINGTON, N.H. (November 19, 2015) — SIG SAUER, Inc., a leading U.S.-based manufacturer of law enforcement and military firearms, is pleased to announce that the Hawaii Department of Public Safety has selected the SIG SAUER P320 as the agency’s next service firearm and chosen SIG SAUER V-Crown Duty and SIG SAUER FMJ ammunition.

The HDPS conducted an extensive independent testing of several 9mm handguns from a number of manufacturers, including SIG SAUER. At the conclusion of the testing, the Hawaii Department of Public Safety selected the 9mm P320 Full Size and Carry due to the platform’s reliability, accuracy, ease of operation, safety, care and maintenance, and cost. The contracts called for more than 725 pistols and more than 1 million rounds of ammunition to be delivered within 60 days of both contract awards.

SIG SAUER delivered all 725 weapons and more than 1.2 million rounds of ammunition ahead of schedule as well as coordinated the transition training and armorer certification of 25 HDPS personnel within a week of delivery.

The Hawaii Department of Public Safety is comprised of a Law Enforcement and Corrections Divisions that are responsible for traffic regulation, corrections and law enforcement services across the state. The HDPS is headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii, and currently has approximately 1,450 Law Enforcement Officers and Corrections Officers.

Raven Concealment Systems Announces New Holster Available Black Friday

North Ridgeville, Ohio — Friday, 16 November 2015Raven Concealment Systems has released images today of a new inside-the-waistband holster called the Morrigan, which they will be releasing on Black Friday.

Named after a war deity from Irish mythology, the Morrigan is quite different from the products that customers are accustomed to seeing from Raven. “Historically, RCS is known for extremely modular, multi-functional designs,” said John Chapman, CEO of Raven Concealment Systems. “With the Morrigan, our goal was to create a much simpler design that was very application-specific. The Morrigan is designed to have a small, streamlined profile, and serve optimally for those who carry on or behind the hip, inside the waistband. It does this remarkably well, without requiring a bunch of extra parts and time spent assembling it.”

The Morrigan is ambidextrous, and has adjustable cant and adjustable retention. Other than attaching the soft-loops, it comes ready for use right out of the box. The holster body is very trim, and contoured for comfort for both right- and left-handed shooters. Of particular interest is the innovative “tourniquet-style” retention system, which uses a band of low-profile Velcro to “cinch” the retention down on the weapon, instead of the more traditional retention screw. This gives a much greater range of adjustment, while also eliminating the tendency for retention screws to back off and loosen over time. It also makes the retention setting more repeatable, since one need only mark the strip with a paint pen to indicate where “just right” is.

Also of great interest is the price-point of the holster: MSRP is just $49.99. “We wanted to make a solution for the daily-carry market that was highly-functional, but still fit within the budgets of departments and families who need top-quality concealment holsters,” said Scott Wilson, Director of Sales at RCS. “The Morrigan embodies all the quality and innovative design you expect from Raven, just simplified.”
