TNVC – Releases PVS-14 Non-Powered Bridge Mount-Dovetail at NRAAM

April 26th, 2019

Indianapolis, IN – Hot on the heels of the release of the TNVC PVS-14-PBM-A, we’re proud to announce the release of the PVS-14 Non-Powered Bridge Mount-Dovetail, or NPBM-D at the NRA Annual Meeting 2019 at the Indianapolis Convention Center in Booth 7464.

The NPBM-D was a response to requests for a lower cost and lighter weight version of the PBM-A, deleting the centralized power supply, but retaining the stirrup and fastener attachment of the PBM-A that allows the best possible lockup and alignment of dual PVS-14s into a retrofit binocular configuration. Again, while bridging two PVS-14s is not the most ideal configuration for binocular night vision devices (BNVDs), the PBM-A and NPBM-D are responsive to military and law enforcement organizations that already have large numbers of PVS-14s in inventory, as well as civilian enthusiasts that already have PVS-14 units, and do not want to purchase a new device or perform costly conversions to their existing devices, or may want to retain the ability to have two totally independent devices.

The NPBM-D is the lightest dovetail mounting PVS-14 bridge currently on the market, weighing in at 2.93 ounces and is constructed from Delrin polymer and 6061 T6 anodized aluminum, and will retail for $315, making it one of the most affordable PVS-14 bridges on the market.

TNVC will have an extremely limited number of units available for sale on the floor at NRAAM 2019, and will be accepting pre-orders for $305 during NRAAM

TNVC will also have a number of other Show Specials during NRAAM for show attendees available including:

Night Goggles NG/PVS-14 Photonis 4G ECHO for $2,500

10% off FLIR PTQ-136 Breach and PTS-233 Thermosights

TNV/PVS-14-PBM-A for $765 (available on website)

Come stop by our booth, 7464 for all of your night vision, thermal, and accessory needs!

Savage to Introduce More Than 12 New Guns at the 2019 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits

April 25th, 2019

WESTFIELD, Massachusetts – April 24, 2019 – Savage will announce more than a dozen new rifle configurations at the 2019 NRA Meetings & Exhibits in Indianapolis, Indiana, April 26-28. These new firearms will be available at dealers this summer. Savage invites attendees to visit booth 4955 during the show to see these new products and more.

The introductions include several great caliber additions and model upgrades to Savage’s existing centerfire and rimfire product lines. In addition, the company is poised to release a full lineup of firearms in new Mossy Oak Overwatch, the official camouflage pattern of the NRA.

For starters, Savage has expanded its Apex Hunter XP and Engage Hunter XP package rifles series to include 450 Bushmaster. The Apex Hunter XP comes with a Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x40mm scope and a one-piece rail, while the Engage Hunter XP features a Bushnell Engage 3-9x40mm. Both scopes are mounted, bore-sighted and ready to shoot.

The new 110 Classic features a quality walnut stock with modern ergonomics similar to those of the new Model 110 design. The stock’s length-of-pull and comb height adjust in quarter-inch increments to allow peak comfort, consistency and precision for any shooter. The 110 Classic is available in eight popular chamberings.

Savage has also expanded the A17 line with a chambering for 17 Mach 2, another flat-shooting, high-velocity rimfire cartridge. Its unique delayed-blowback action provides safe, reliable operation with any 17 Mach 2 load.

The new A22 FV-SR semi- automatic 22 LR upgrades the original A22 platform with a button-rifled, medium-contour barrel and threaded muzzle. It features a gray synthetic stock, user-adjustable AccuTrigger and reliable straight blowback action. This rifle is complete with a matte black finish, a new feature for this product line.

Savage has expanded the AXIS II line to include a chambering for 300 Blackout, providing the ballistics that made the cartridge famous—now in a bolt-action platform built for hunters. Savage also expanded the 110 Tactical lineup to include left-hand models, a 6.5 PRC chambering, and other options.

Finally, Savage has partnered with Mossy Oak to create several firearms with new Overwatch camo. Models include A22 FV-SR semi-auto in 22 LR, B Series bolt action in 22 LR and 17 HMR, A17 semi-auto in 17 HMR, MSR 15 Recon 2.0 semi-auto in 5.56x45mm /223 Rem., MSR 10 Hunter semi-auto in 308 Win. and 6.5 Creedmoor, Model 110 Ridge Warrior bolt-action in 308 Win. and 6.5 Creedmoor, and AXIS II bolt-action in many caliber options.

Mossy Oak Overwatch utilizes cutting-edge design technology and features the NRA logo embedded within the pattern. Wearing it helps NRA members show their support and passion for the right to keep and bear arms, and the protection of America’s hunting, fishing and outdoors heritage.

These products and many more from Savage can be viewed at booth 4955 during the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits. Learn more about Savage at www.savagearms.com.

USA Shooting Launches RAISE THE FLAG Campaign as part of 2020 Vision

April 25th, 2019

Chairman’s Challenge Underway to Ensure Competitive Opportunities for America’s Shooting Team

(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – April 24, 2019) With exactly 15 months until the 2020 Olympic Games get underway in Tokyo, Japan, USA Shooting is launching the RAISE THE FLAG campaign. The campaign will serve as the motivational driver used to pursue all available resources and sharpen the organizational vision on the mission of getting athletes on the podium and seeing that American flag raised in competition.

The key element of the campaign is the Chairman’s Challenge being initiated by USA Shooting Board Chairman Chad Whittenburg, in what he describes as a true sense of urgency and directed passion. The USA Shooting Board of Directors recently voted to fund all athletes qualifying for World Cup events in 2019, a decision that means the organization needs to raise $200,000 to support that effort.  Previously, athletes were only allowed to compete if they had achieved a Performance Standard Score (PSS), which was the average score needed to make a World Cup Final. With the start of the Beijing World Cup Tuesday, USA Shooting is fielding complete teams across all disciplines for the first time since before 2016.

“I will not sit back any longer without doing everything I can to make sure our athletes have the resources they need to go about raising our flag at international competition,” said Whittenburg, who became Chairman in January. “It is unacceptable to me that we as an organization and shooting sports community can’t rally behind America’s Shooting Team athletes enough to ensure they can compete overseas as proud members of Team USA without having to fund that trip themselves. Our athletes deserve the opportunity to compete and get better without that financial stress weighing over them.  We can do better for our athletes that represent America and the shooting sports at the highest level and accepting this challenge will allow us to do so and help us achieve our 2020 vision.”

On average, funding an athlete to compete in a World Cup costs approximately $3,400. Thirty athletes are competing at the Beijing World Cup, for a team total of $102,000, not including coaching and team support expenses.

The Challenge will begin with Whittenburg asking all seven current BOD members to help jump start the effort as well as all 15 USA Shooting staff members.  Every single dollar raised will go directly to paying

for athletes traveling overseas to World Cups, World Championships and World Cup Finals for the remainder of this calendar year to help us Raise the Flag.

Accept the Chairman’s Challenge Today, DONATE NOW:  www.usashooting.org/rtfchallenge

This RAISE THE FLAG campaign will also feature a new licensing effort with a full line of quality merchandise and shooting accessories that will be available in various retail outlets starting in June. Look for exclusive merchandise before that on the USA Shooting Store. The Midway USA Foundation will also incorporate the licensed apparel in their interactions with more the 2,700 youth shooting teams.

Storytelling and creative content will also be an important ingredient of the new campaign with USA Shooting hopeful to elicit new energy and community-wide awareness in support of America’s Shooting Team. USA Shooting Team athletes represent everything there is to love about the shooting sports. The story of our athletes can’t be told enough and as we cheer them on along their Road to Tokyo and beyond, we hope the shooting sports community will take the time to recognize what opportunity this next year provides to help change the narrative and to give the gun culture something to be proud of and stand behind.

The new campaign will also provide greater engagement opportunities and additional pathways for sponsors and donors to get involved in supporting America’s Shooting Team.

Magpul Introduces Sling Stud QD Bipod

April 25th, 2019

The Magpul Bipod – Sling Stud QD is the next offering in the Magpul bipod line. Designed to mount to the ubiquitous Uncle Mike’s Sling Swivel Stud that is common to nearly every sporting rifle made, the Magpul Bipod – Sling Stud QD is the strongest, most fully featured bipod available with direct sling stud mounting. Offered with a new rapid-attach sling stud mounting system, the Sling Stud QD bipod takes the fuss of aligning and tightening that comes with traditional sling stud-mount bipods out of the equation. The stainless-steel mounting system self-locates and aligns perfectly every time, and an ergonomic thumb wheel allows for excellent grip to ensure easy tightening. Additionally, two sizes of high-durometer rubber mounting gaskets are provided to ensure optimized fit and load distribution on narrow sporter-contour or wider target-style forends. The ability to mount a sling on the forend is maintained with a low-profile sling stud on the rear of the Sling Stud QD mount, which also provides for a quick detachment when it’s needed.

Providing the same premium features available in the existing line of Magpul bipods, the Sling Stud QD bipod provides the high performance associated with higher-priced bipods at a significantly more affordable price for all shooters. Spring-tensioned, Mil-Spec hard anodized 6061-T6 and injection-molded reinforced polymer legs stow neatly forward and snap down and lock into place with one hand. Leg extensions slide and lock securely with the push of a button on any of the seven locking detents, extending from 6.7” to 10.0”. An industry-exclusive 50° of total tilt are controlled by a glove-friendly, knurled, tool-less, bipod locking knob located between the extended legs, allowing easy adjustment between shots. A soft rubber bipod locking knob cap is attached to the locking knob, giving users a steady, non-marring forward rest while the bipod is folded. Additionally, its staggered soft rubber feet hold fast on a variety of shooting surfaces and are easily removed with a roll pin punch. Should users choose to change feet, the Sling Stud QD’s legs accept most Atlas-pattern bipod replaceable feet. The streamlined housing and legs fit neatly under the barrel and are just under 2.3” deep and 3.3” wide when folded.

• Rapid leg deployment with efficient single-handed adjustability
• Rapid-attach, self-locating stainless-steel mounting system mounts to Uncle Mike’s Sling Studs on narrow or wide fore ends, while also providing a quick detachment capability
