SAGE Control Ordnance Hand-thrown Munitions – CS Irritant and Practice White Smoke

October 16th, 2012

SAGE Control Ordnance, Inc has released the new SAGE 66mm Tri-Canister Hand Thrown Munitions (HTM66). It is a separating continuous discharge pyrotechnic munition and available in CS irritant smoke as well as a white training smoke variant.

The HTM66 Tri-Canister Series design consists of three separate canisters pressed together with internal separating charges. Upon deployment the canisters separate and land roughly 20 to 25 feet apart affording a greater area of coverage than similar single source munitions. It can be hand thrown or launched from a shotgun cup mounted delivery system. The average burn time of each separating charge range between 20-30 seconds and this enhances the ability of the HTM66 to quickly saturate the desired area with CS or white smoke.

October 16th, 2012

20121015-145419.jpg“Eating On The Run” by Fred Damara is a handbook designed to offer you a working knowledge of dozens of readily harvested plants, grasses, nuts, and berries that require little to no preparation. Foraging is one of the most undertrained skills and this book will help learn how to distinguish safe plants from toxic varieties, which parts of the plant are edible and when, and where abundant supplies are likely to be in each season.

Warrior Assault Systems’ DCS DA Plate Carrier Available in A-TACS FG

October 15th, 2012

UK-based Warrior Assault Systems has introduced their DCS (Dynamic Combat System) in A-TACS FG Camo. Warrior Assault Systems claims that the design was developed with “direct input from active S.F. Operators” and is “suitable for both Special Forces requirements, and PSD Operations”. Fair enough. The DCS accommodates large plates front and back and has the ability to carry either “6 x 6? or “6 x 8? side plates. It is also designed to accept NEXUS NIJ Level 3a Front and Back. Additionally, there is room for ICW side plates.

The shoulders are fully adjustable and have an Emergency Release on one side which frees the left hand side shoulder section and allows the wearer to remove the vest without having to remove his helmet. The side sections of the DCS are fully adjustable for size and can be adjusted in under 15 seconds. 3D Spacer Mesh lining is used for comfort and allows body heat to move away from the bodies surface while assisting in air flow to provide cooling.

The DCS was developed to be worn in tandem with their Warrior Frag Belt and comes standard with 5 x Open Mag pouches for 5.56mm Mags as well as 2 x Small Utility / Medic Pouch.

Rogue Gunfighter – The Rundown

October 15th, 2012

Their motto is, “Fight Fast, Light, Ready be Unpredictable”. They apply “reality from experience” to what they do. You might already ‘know’ Rogue Gunfighter and not even realize it. We’ve been hearing snippets here and there for months from friends all around the industry. Once you learn a little more, you’ll start to put some pieces together like we did. They’ve got a lot going on and it’s pretty exciting stuff.

Rogue Gunfighter, LLC was formed in 2012 by a group of friends who have worked and operated together in some of the worlds most undesirable place to include Yemen, Libya, South American, Europe, Iraq, Afghanistan, the Indian Ocean and Pakistan. Our culture is derived from the “Gunfighter” lifestyle and warrior ethos. We come from diverse backgrounds to include all branches of the US Military Branches to include SOCOM, OGA, Intelligence, Anti Piracy/Ship Protection and High Threat Protection.

RG has worked with some great companies like Troy Industries, TAG, High Threat Concealment, Smith and Wesson, Insight Technologies/L-3, Eotech, LCI, Smith Optics, Rogue American Apparel, Team Wendy and Kill Cliff. We recently finished a fun project utilizing equipment and gear mentioned above.

Let’s start off with their armor carrier. The RG Multi-Purpose Operation Carrier. It’s a slick, low-profile rig that can be worn over or under clothing depending on the mission. It incorporates load carriage that doesn’t get in the way when not in use.

They also offer a removable MOLLE panel for more overt use.

As you can see, they are also working with our friends at High Threat Concealment who have also developed low-profile working rigs that incorporate more than just a pistol and spare magazine.

They’re also working on several other projects including –

A low profile med pouch

Lights

Knives

And a low profile clothing line in conjunction with Rogue American Apparel

Naturally, they’re going to share their philosophy through training

I’m pretty excited about what I’m seeing here. It’s ambitious, but it didn’t just happen overnight. They’ve been working on this for awhile with each guy bringing his piece to the puzzle and they’ve been refining everything over the last year or so.

Their website isn’t quite ready to go yet but be sure to ‘like’ them on Facebook in order to keep up with their latest news.
