Creates Revolutionary New, Quiet Concealed Carry Gun Holster

Abilene, Texas – March 29, 2017

JM4 Tactical is proud to announce the release of their brand-new patent pending gun holster: Reliable, Easy, Light, Individual, Carry, otherwise known as “RELIC.” RELIC revolutionizes concealed carry in that it adds the quiet delicateness of leather to a strong molded polymer called Boltaron.

JM4 Tactical uses a proprietary holster forming technology that allows them to combine these two, otherwise incompatible materials, to make one of the quietest, most durable gun holsters ever made.

Proudly made in the United States of America with massive support for hundreds of different gun models, JM4 Tactical is set to revolutionize the concealed carry world, yet again. And, they will do so with the launch of four different RELIC models:

• Appendix

• Tuckable IWB

• Hybrid

• Paddle

Each model takes US-Manufactured Boltaron Polymer, and sews Hermann Oak Grade A U.S. Steer hide to the interior of the shell that not only protects the gun’s finish from harsh plastics, but also allows for quiet drawing and re-holstering.

Chad, co-owner of JM4 Tactical had this to say about why RELIC Holsters use both leather and the US made polymer known as Boltaron, “We have determined 3 major issues with traditional plastic holsters: deformation and cracking due to extreme temperatures, damage to the firearm due to the hard plastic, and they are just rather loud when holstering and unholstering the firearm. The RELIC Holster solves all of these problems.”

The new RELIC Holsters are now available in JM4 Tactical’s online store, and prices start at $94.97 for the Appendix, Tuckable IWB, and Paddle models, with the Hybrid coming in at $139.97.

Polymule Take 2

Thursday, March 29th, 2018

All-terrain carts remain a great way to move heavy and bulky loads in austere environments. The team behind the Polymule crowdfunding project has improved the product and reintroduced it on Indiegogo.

Polymule offers 20 inches of ground clearance, 400 lbs of payload capacity but the biggest improvement to the design is the introduction of uphill assist which keeps the wheels from rolling backward as you negotiate hills and obstacles.

Applied Ballistics Wins Military R&D Contract
Precision Shooting Tech Company Funded to Advance Extreme Long-Range Sniper Capability

Cedar Springs, MI: Applied Ballistics LLC, a Michigan-based tech company focused on advancing the state of the art in long range rifle shooting, has been awarded a $1.3M contract by the Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office (CTTSO) to execute Phase 1 of the Extreme Sniper Strike Operations (ESSO) project.

Phase 1 of the ESSO project is focused on advancing the predictive capabilities of modern ballistic solvers by performing Doppler radar measurement and modeling of current service rounds at Extreme Long Range (ELR) as a function of gyroscopic stability, and refining the models of secondary ballistic effects such as spin rate decay and spin drift at ELR. Phase 1 will conclude with the ballistic modeling enhancements being integrated into the existing Applied Ballistics ecosystem of electronic devices which are currently deployed by numerous US and allied armed forces around the world. Phase 1 is scheduled for completion in late 2018.

Phase 2 of the ESSO project is a potential follow on (2019) that focuses on the development and fielding of an advanced ELR sniper rifle system designed to drastically increase first round hit probability at ELR on man sized targets. The Applied Ballistics Weapons Division is currently conducting research and development on weapons platforms, as well as new cartridge and bullet options, that will maximize ELR ballistic performance from lightweight, practical, magazine fed systems.

Bryan Litz, owner of Applied Ballistics LLC, said: “Our team of Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical and Computer Science Engineers and Technicians will apply our combined experience including years of testing and competing in ELR Shooting to the successful completion of the ESSO program objectives. This means extending the maximum effective range of US and allied snipers, achieving decisive overmatch on the battlefield. I can’t imagine a better application of Applied Ballistics’ collective efforts.”

SEK Solutions, Karda Systems & MJL Enterprises LLC Pay $620,000 Settlement With DoJ Over Allegations Of Violation Of False Claims Act

Thursday, March 29th, 2018

Tidewater of Virginia-based businesses Karda Systems LLC, SEK Solutions, and MJL Enterprises LLC have settled with the Department of Justice over allegations of violations of the false claims act. The DoJ claims these companies, as well as ADS, Inc, misrepresented their status for set-aside business with the US government. Last Summer, ADS settled the same suit for $16 million.

Specifically, the claims are that SEK Solutions falsely claimed eligibility for set-asides for women-owned small businesses, MJL claimed it was service disabled veteran-owned firm and that both SEK Solutions and Karda misrepresented themselves as socially or economically disadvantaged businesses (8(a)).

This was a “qui tam” lawsuit that was filed under the whistle blower provision of the False Claims Act in which a private party, Ameliorate Partners, a Delaware limited liability partnership, sued on behalf of the government for a portion of the settlement. So far Ameliorate Partners is said to have received over $3 million.

In the settlement, MJL Enterprises Inc agreed to pay $400,000, SEK Solutions agreed to pay $140,000, and Karda Systems, LLC agreed to pay $80,000.

Considering the legal bills which are sure to have piled up since the suit was first filed in 2013, it’s not surprising the firms settled. With the settlement comes no admission of wrongdoing and brings the suit to a close.

Original SWAT Public Order Boot, Winner of NAUMD’s Best Footwear Innovation Award

Thursday, March 29th, 2018

Morristown, TN – March 28, 2018

The development of the Original Footwear Co public order boot was the result of feedback from users around the Globe. Traditionally boots used for public order had an external metatarsal guard to protect the lace area at the front of the foot. This didn’t also work so well however. Police officers were still getting injured due to the guards not fitting properly and if petrol bombs were thrown the petrol would tend to continue to burn underneath the guard damaging both the boot and potentially causing further injury.

Our response to that was to make a boot with a metatarsal guard that was integrated into the boot. High impact PU is built into the tongue area of the boot and additional protection is also provided on the external ankle area of the boot.

The boot is made from fire resistant full grain leather and also has FR laces and thread. Non metallic safety toe cap and a non metallic anti-penetration plate provide excellent protection and the boot is finished with 3M® Defender to ensure liquid run off the boots.

After extensive end user testing around the World the boot is now complete and certified to EN ISO 20345:2011, the international safety boot standard and British Standard BS 7971:2016 Part 5 which is the only dedicated public order footwear standard in the World.

“We are honored that our Original S.W.A.T.® Public Order Boot won the Best Footwear Innovation Award at NAUMD. We worked hard to get this product certified by the major safety testing agencies in the world.” said Kevin Cole, CEO of the Original Footwear Company.

The Original S.W.A.T® Public Order Boot is now available worldwide.
