KOR Delivers Custom Weapons Storage Solution to Air Force Reserve Command

4,000 Custom Systems Delivered in Eight Weeks, Supporting Secure Equipment Storage Across 25 U.S. BasesSCOTTSDALE, AZ. — KOR, developer of advanced protective transport and storage solutions, announced the successful delivery of 4,000 custom-configured storage systems to the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC), providing a scalable and highly adaptable solution for weapons and mission-critical equipment storage.

Developed in collaboration with AFRC leadership and end users, the custom KOR protective panel system (4217 SYS) was engineered to provide a universal storage platform capable of securely accommodating a wide range of prescribed weapons and associated equipment while maximizing protection during transport and storage.

To ensure operational effectiveness and mission readiness, KOR worked directly within AFRC commanders to develop first-article units and conduct equipment test fitting prior to production. This hands-on approach enabled the team to validate fit, functionality, and protection requirements before deployment across the command. KOR also partnered with SKB Cases to integrate its configurable protection technology within a rugged transport platform, creating a solution that combines the durability of military-grade hard cases with the flexibility of KOR’s reconfigurable protection system.

Allen-Vanguard Secures Over $3 Million Worth of New Contracts in Africa

The contracts come with a full support package, including training for users, technicians and mission-fill development. This support includes the deployment of Field Service Representatives to ensure the development of indigenous ECM capability and reach back to the Threat Management Team.

Gallatin AI Awarded Contract by US Army’s III Armored Corps

WASHINGTON, June 11, 2026 — Gallatin AI today announced it has been awarded a contract by the US Army’s III Armored Corps to deploy and refine Navigator, its AI-native logistics decision support suite, in direct support of III Corps exercises and operational planning over the next 18 months.

The award addresses a capability gap at the corps echelon where Army ground combat units lack tools that enable sustainment decision support at the operational level of war. Under the agreement, Gallatin will deliver a tailored Logistics Common Operating Picture (LOGCOP); predictive consumption algorithms across all classes of supply; AI-assisted planning tools for the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP); and integration with Next Generation Constructive (NGC) simulation platforms. The effort maps to two Department of War critical technology areas: Applied Artificial Intelligence and Contested Logistics Technologies.

“Planning and executing Sustainment at the operational level is fundamentally different from what happens at the tactical or strategic echelon,” said Woody Glier, CEO of Gallatin AI. “A corps commander and staff must forecast what tens of thousands of Soldiers will require over months of sustained conflict while placing those requests against theater sustainment commands and depots that may be a continent away. Navigator is already deployed with multiple military units. Work under the III Corps Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) will be validated through iterative delivery across multiple live exercise events.

(HAPPUAGE, NY, June 08, 2026) – Innovative Rocket Technologies Inc. (iRocket) has today announced it has been selected by Army PAE Fires / PdM ARSGM for the Hydra-70 Guided Rocket Components contract, valued between $30 million and $150 million, to support the production of systems designed to counter the growing volume of low-cost aerial threats. The award comes at a critical moment, as U.S. forces confront sustained drone attacks in ongoing operations in Iran, underscoring the urgent need for affordable, rapidly deployable munitions.

The core objective of the contract is to bridge the gap between expensive HELLFIRE missiles ($150-200 thousand per unit) and cheap, unguided rockets by transforming Hydra-70 rockets into laser-guided, precision missiles, creating a more affordable and scalable “middle ground” munition. The modified Hydra-70 rockets will become a critical munition for the US Army’s growing counter-UAS capability.

Recent conflicts have underscored a widening gap between the weapons the U.S. relies on and the threats it faces. In many cases, forces are compelled to use high-cost interceptors against inexpensive drones, creating an unsustainable cost dynamic while straining already limited stockpiles.

USMC Issues Sole Source Notice for 5.56mm Anti-Drone Rounds

According to a sole source notice issued last week, Portfolio Acquisitions Executive Marine Corps (PAE MC), Program Manager, Combat Support Systems (CSS), PdM Ammunition (PdM AMMO), Quantico, VA 22134, intends to enter into a sole-source negotiations and subsequently award an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract to Drone Round LLC for the 5.56mm “L Variant” Anti-Drone Rounds. This effort is estimated for award December 2026.

Launched earlier this year, the 5.56mm Drone Round “L Variant” projectile separates into several pieces to act in a similar fashion to a shotgun, making it effective against drones.

According to the Marines, it is the only kinetic munition currently available in the commercial or defense marketplace that meets the Marine Corps’ strict minimum capability requirements for immediate c-sUAS defense. Specifically, this round is the only solution offering “drop-in” compatibility that requires no physical modifications, specialized upper receivers, or distinct weapon platforms to be operable in current-issue Marine Corps 5.56mm weapons (e.g., M27 M4, and M4A1). Furthermore, its deployment requires zero additional New Equipment Training or specialized occupational specialties, rendering it immediately effective upon issue. Failure to deliver this capability places an unnecessary risk to Marines and could lead to mission failure and loss of life. Market Research indicates that Drone Round LLC is sole manufacturer and reseller of this ammunition. The appliable North American Industry Classification System code is 332992, Small Arms Ammunition Manufacturing.

Major Historic International Contract for Rheinmetall: Romania Orders Lynx Combat Vehicles, Vessels and Air Defence Systems Worth a Total of €5.7 billion

Rheinmetall has secured the largest international contract package in the company’s recent history. Romania has now commissioned the Düsseldorf-based technology group to carry out extensive defence projects.

The contract package was awarded on 29 May 2026 by the Directorate General for Armaments and falls under the European Union’s Security Action for Europe (SAFE) programme. The contracts for the manufacture of combat vehicles, air defence systems, ammunition and ammunition components and naval vessels have a total value of €5.7 billion. The relevant contracts have now been signed. To fulfil the orders, Rheinmetall will significantly expand its existing capacities in Romania, which have been in place for many years, and will also ensure technology transfer. A large proportion of the value added will be generated in this NATO and EU member state. Deliveries are scheduled to begin 2028 and be completed by 2030.

The defence projects now commissioned include:

• 298 Lynx vehicles, a latest-generation family of combat vehicles. The majority will be armoured personnel carriers, along with reconnaissance, command post and medical variants;
• Skyranger air defence systems, also based on the Lynx. Until these are introduced, Rheinmetall will keep the Gepard anti-aircraft gun armoured vehicles currently in use operational;
• medium-calibre ammunition for air defence and armoured personnel carriers;
• two offshore patrol vessels;
• two diver support vessels. All vessels are based on the proven design of the new Naval Systems segment.

Rheinmetall is set to invest several hundred million euros in Romania, with a significant proportion of the value added being generated in this NATO and EU member state on the Alliance’s eastern flank. The project is expected to create thousands of new jobs. Over 200 subcontractors will be integrated into the supply network.
Romania is already one of Rheinmetall’s home markets. Its subsidiary Rheinmetall Automecanica, based in Medias, has been active there for many years. The major contracts now awarded will also be carried out at other sites.

Mihai Jurca, Head of the Prime Minister’s Office and Coordinator of the inter-institutional working group on the implementation of the SAFE Plan, said: “The contract concluded between the Romanian authorities and Rheinmetall represents not only an opportunity to modernise Romania’s defence capabilities, but also an important step towards revitalising the national defence industry, as over 50% of production will take place in Romania or in collaboration with local companies. It marks the beginning of a new phase of industrial development that has the potential to become a key driver of Romania’s economic growth and the integration of local industry into the European ecosystem over the next decade.”
