T.REX ARMS Releases the Ready Rig

Chest rigs have a long history of use, dating back to at least World War I. The tradition of individuals carrying extra munitions, tools, and supplies in rapid-access chest rigs has continued to this day, with both classic and modern versions widely used throughout the military world.

Today, T.REX ARMS is releasing the Ready Rig, a lightweight, low-vis chest rig designed and built for the modern citizen. Affordable, but American made. Slim and covert, but rugged enough for regular use. Comfortable, but stable. Highly adjustable, but functional right out of the box.

It’s designed around an X-harness system combined with an elastic cummerbund. The three front pockets carry 5.56/STANAG mags (with 7.62 and subgun variants coming in the future), with one small, medium, and large pocket on each of the two sides of the cummerbund for pistol mags, tools, medical kits, radios, and anything else you need to carry comfortably and accessibly.

It’s currently available in Ranger Green and Wolf Grey, with additional colors coming soon. We have designed the materials and construction around the compromised supply chains of 2020, in hopes of quick and dependable restocking after the initial sales surge.

The THING 2 answers the call for end users who need to carry more. Expanding on the incredible modularity of the Micro Fight Chest Rig, The THING 2 allows for rapid expansion of your Micro Fight or Placard to cover longer duration mission profiles.

Using a 500d/1000d Fused laminate that is married to a Woven Polypropylene Laminate Sheeting we have created a lightweight, hydrophobic and efficient design. Because we use a rigid material, The Thing will not sag or distort when loaded with heavy equipment.

Each side of The Thing 2 has a Rigid 3 Column MOLLE filed for attaching pouches of your choice.

On the back side of each MOLLE field there are built in radio/magazine pouches.

Buckles are secured to THE THING 2 with eyelets which allow for full articulation of the buckles.

A Velcro field and retaining loops make attaching your Placard or your Micro Fight Chest Rig simple and fast. This allows for hot swapping of your primary load out from a chest rig, to your plate carrier.

The retaining loops also serve as tie down points for mission critical equipment.

The rear of The Thing 2 has a VELCRO lined slot for accepting sub load pouches such as the SACK or Lunchbox.

Capable of accepting most placard style systems on the market.

Royal Canadian Navy Awards Tulmar Safety Systems Contract to Support ‘Hammerhead’ Tactical Life Preserver Units

Tulmar Safety Systems is pleased to announce the award of contract W8482-218402/A by the Canadian Department of National Defence to support the Tulmar ‘Hammerhead’ Tactical Life Preserver Units (TLPU) in-service with the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN). Tulmar’s ‘Hammerhead’ TLPU is used by the RCN’s Naval Tactical Operations Group (NTOG) whose teams on Canadian warships provide boarding parties for maritime interdiction operations. During these operations, NTOG team members are exposed to significant risk of falling overboard and are able to rely on the proven performance of the Hammerhead TLPU. This Wednesday, December 16th, 2020 Terrain 365™ launches their DTK-AT mini-framelock folder. A very compact knife that is the size of a standard US Issue “Dog Tag”.
