Badger Ordnance Introduces Sniper Lightweight Integrator Combat Kit – Hensoldt

Badger Ordnance is proud to announce the next evolution of their S.L.I.C.K. line of products, the S.L.I.C.K.-H. (Sniper Lightweight Integrator Combat Kit – Hensoldt)

The S.L.I.C.K.-H. is Badger Ordnance’s answer to electro-optic integration with the Hensoldt Spotter 45/60 spotting scopes. The S.L.I.C.K.-H. provides 4 Picatinny rails hard-mounted directly to the 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock positions as well as 3 additional mounting positions on the 45° angles of the Objective Ring for additional rails or S.L.I.C.K. series accessories. The Objective Ring is also back-compatible with the accessory rails from the current issued S.L.I.C.K. (NSN 1006-01-672-7773)for the Leupold M151 Spotting Scope. The S.L.I.C.K.-H. is also equipped with an incredibly rigid removable, folding UNS/Thermal rail that can be adjusted by the user for either left hand or right hand fold. The UNS/Thermal rail features a positive mechanical lock that can be quickly disengaged by simply pulling out on the the rail and rotating to either the deployed or stowed position.

The S.L.I.C.K.-H. includes a rapidly adjustable rail grabber with a ¼-20 threaded hole for Manfrotto style tripod shoes. Also included is an offset Arca-Swiss adapter plate that will allow the end user balancing options when using the S.L.I.C.K.-H. with front mounted UNS/Thermal devices. The offset plate will also accept Manfrotto style tripod shoes for those not using Arca-Swiss ball heads but still needing additional offset. Mil. Spec. Hard Coat Type III Anodized, Tan.

Also new for Badger Ordnance’s 2019 S.L.I.C.K. lineup is the S.A.P. (S.L.I.C.K. Adapter Plate). The S.A.P. provides the end user the ability to direct mount several popular micro sights to the Objective Rings of Badger Ordnance’s S.L.I.C.K. series of mounts. The S.A.P. gives an observer the ability to co-align a micro sight to their spotting scope for rapid target acquisition, without the bulk of a Picatinny S.L.I.C.K. rail or micro sight Picatinny adapter plate. The S.A.P. is offered for Aimpoint T1/T2, Leupold Delta Point Pro, and Trijicon RMR series of micro sights.

Both the S.L.I.C.K.-H. and S.A.P. are scheduled for a late Q1 release.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university or equivalent work experience

• Minimum of five (5) years combined experience in selling to law enforcement departments, first responders and the US Military.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Comprehensive understanding and experience with the government procurement process

• Experience successfully developing and closing opportunities with federal, state, local law enforcement and first responders

• Can demonstrate a high-degree of organization to manage many opportunities simultaneously

• Prior experience as a law enforcement officer or military is a plus

• CRM experience

They combined the ideas from each of their “favorite” bipods, optimized them for actual field usage models, added a few new innovations and good ideas, and then tested the hell out of it for over a year. The Redback Company New Cierzo Shirt Colours and Design Update

The Redback Company has added two new colours to their Cierzo Shirt range. The new colours are Earth-Tone and Night Camo.

Ben O’Toole, the Managing Director of The Redback Company, says:

“The original Cierzo Shirts were really well received, with the Camouflage ones having sold out in October. We also got some great detailed feedback from people who had bought the shirts and put them through their paces. Using that feedback, we have updated our pattern. We love getting user feedback so we can keep improving our products.”

The original shirts have had 2 inches added to the bottom of the shirt to make it stay in place better during dynamic movements. There is also now a Long size which is six inches longer in the body and four inches longer in the arm for customers who are 6’1” and above.

We also made a one-off Night Camo Cierzo Shirt for a friend of the brand from some original 1990s fabric he had. When we posted an picture on our Social Media we were inundated with requests for the garment. Added to the popularity of our Night Camo Timmy Hat we felt we had to make it a permanent addition to the product line.

The final colour we added is Earth-Tone. Again, after user feedback, we found that people wanted a darker colour for bushcraft and other outdoor activities where they did not want to wear camouflage, but did not want to overly contrast with the environment either. We looked for a colour that would blend well into the outdoors. When we looked at animals, we found that a great many are various shades of brown and blend very well into the background. We chose a shade that had the same effect.

How The Zombies Ate Your Guns in 2013 2017 2019

I guess it’s that time again. It seems like I post this during every Congress.

There once was a powerful zombie queen named Dianne. Dianne doesn’t seem like such a terrifying name and that’s probably why she went unnoticed as a zombie for so long. Don’t get me wrong. All of the signs that she was undead were there; the lifeless eyes, the gaunt white skin stretched taught over sharp cheekbones, the ridiculous bouffant wigs used to hide her balding pate and the lispy voice that turned the “s” at the end of a word into a “z”, like in “gunz” and “brainz”. All classic signs, and yet, we missed them all.

She had fooled her people for decades despite looking like the living dead when she ascended to her position, and yet not aging the entire time. Of course, the people she ruled were more concerned with good times and hand outs than protecting themselves.

Queen of the Damned Dianne knew that her kind would never take over so long as the living were armed. So for years and years she plotted and schemed. The path for her unholy horde was clear. Disarm the living and they would feast on brainz for breakfast, lunch and dinner. But how?

Finally, a tragedy struck and, relying on sentimentality, undead Dianne used her power to ramrod new laws through that would disarm the living. In a sense of guilt, the living were disarmed. Those who opposed this were labeled as kooks and crazies and led off as criminals.

Unfortunately, this isn’t a fairy tale with a happy ending. The zombies are at the door. First, they will eat your gunz and then they will come for your brainz. Stop Zombie Queen Dianne’s evil gun grabbing agenda and expose her for what she is. Unchecked, she will suck the life out of you, your family, and your neighbors.

We don’t often publish speculative fiction on SSD but I didn’t think this one could wait until Halloween.

Victory First introducing the V43 Upper Receiver at SHOT Show 2019

Victory First is excited to announce the debut of their V43 Upper Receiver at the 2019 NSSF SHOT Show, January 22 – 25, 2019 in Las Vegas.

The V43 is a custom-designed and manufactured slide for a stock Glock model 43. The concept that began in 2017 in nearing the final stages of testing and Victory First is shooting for full rate production and shipping to begin in 1st quarter of 2019.

Matt Jacques, founder and owner of Victory First, explains:

“The intent of the project was to simply lengthen the slide and barrel to increase the comfort for concealment, specifically when carrying the gun in the appendix region (AIWB). I spend a ton of time with folks discussing why short sight radius guns are so uncomfortable when carrying AIWB. I refer to it as the Lego Principle. Stepping on a Lego wouldn’t hurt if it was the size of your cell phone; short guns hurt because they pinch at your waist. So, we’ve stretched the slide and produced a match barrel to optimize the Glock Model 43.”

The V43 is a custom, direct drop on slide that is precision machined from 17-4PH Stainless steel that is fitted with OEM Glock components and, as Jacques stated, a match Victory Barrel. The slide is 6.89in. in length and the standard barrel will measure 4.33in. Threaded barrels in industry standard thread pitch will also be available at full rate production.

Jacques continues.

“This configuration keeps the frame slim, but gives it a G19-ish sized slide and barrel combo. This will alleviate discomfort felt by folks who love the slim profile of the Model 43 but found it unpleasant to carry. There is the additional benefit of lengthened sight radius and increased barrel length, both of which improve accuracy and performance. We have prototype samples of slides for direct mounting various red dot optics, so yes, we’ll be offering those as well.”
