MDM – 5.11 Tactical – Apex Pant

April 23rd, 2015

The Apex pant was initially developed for a customer who required a low-profile operational pant. Constructed of Teflon-treated Flex-Tac fabric, the Apex features dual thigh pockets, each with two integrated magazine pockets; reverse seam construction makes it so the pockets fill against the body instead of billowing outward when used. Two additional low-profile mag pockets above each seat pocket allows for the wearer to store up to 6 AR-15 magazines within the pant. Additional features include a flex cuff pocket built along the inside of the waistband and hidden cuff key pockets in the waistband and the cuff of the pant.

The Apex pant is slated for a Fall 2015 release.

MDM – Blue Force Gear – Belt Minus V2

April 23rd, 2015

The biggest change to the Belt Minus in its V2 configuration is the addition of the laminate foam pad set. The pads are sewn into place, as a Velcro-based mounting system would absorb moisture in jungle environments. The V2 is still constructed of hydrophobic ULTRAcomp material, along with CORDURA and low IR nylon hardware.  Finally, the Belt Minus V2 incorporates low profile lateral stiffeners.

The Belt Minus V2 will be offered in sizes XS – XL.

Army Combat Shirt Type II

April 23rd, 2015

The US Army is fielding an updated version of the Army Combat Shirt called the Type II (still in OEF-CP). The ACS Type II has a narrower torso to accommodate the SPC which requires the shirt to offer more camo coverage on the yoke, chest, and sides. Massif is selling an ACS Type II, with slight fit modifications, but the same camo/solid configuration as the Army’s. As you can see it also incorporates a zippered, polo-style collar.
