Pre-Orders Open Today for 2021 OTTE Gear x Bawidamann Aloha Pua Shirts

Friday, April 9th, 2021

Last year OTTE Gear teamed up with artist Andrew Bawidamann to introduce high quality silk Aloha shirts made in Portugal and decorated with a unique pattern inspired by Vietnam-era tigerstripe camouflage.

This year, they pay hommage to World War Two’s Pacific Theater and the herculean task of the island hopping campaign with Aloah Pua.

There will be three color options. The first two are just like the iconic reversible Marine Corps pattern from World War Two: Greenside Out or Brownside Out and are called respectively Honu Jungle and Honu Beach.

As I mentioned earlier, there will also be a third, very limited run colorway which is blue-based and honors the Navy’s contribution to the fight.

Regardless of colors, you’re going to find some great details embedded in the pattern.

Pre-orders open at 3:00 PM Eastern at bawidamann.com/apparel/aloha-shirts.

Expect delivery by Mid-May.

FROG.PRO – R+ MRTB SAR KIT  | What You Need When Others Need You

Friday, April 9th, 2021

April 1, 2021, Italy – FROG.PRO is proud to present the new “RESCUE” line dedicated to professionals and operators in the search and rescue fields.

A line, still under development, characterized by “High-Visibility” colors with retro-reflective details to guarantee the operator’s safety and by the use of strongly water-repellent fabrics that allow rapid and deep cleaning of the fabric even if soiled by biological liquids.

At the top of RESCUE line products stands the new R+ MRTB SAR Kit which takes the search and rescue missions to a higher level.

The patented Multi Purpose Organizer panels are configured by the operator to secure ready-to-use medical instruments and equipment.

When everything is in the right place, the operator can focus his attention to the fundamentals: speed of action, concentration and precision to minimize any margin of error.

The super slim design of the R+ Light Reconnaissance Harness perfectly matches the shoulder straps of the multiday and first aid backpacks without causing any discomfort. This feature is particularly appreciated by rescuers engaged in long-duration SAR missions.

The R+ Modular Reconnaissance Task Bag and the R+ Orthos Med Pouch offer a fully customizable solution for the transport and use of medical devices thanks to the supplied Multi Purpose Organizer panels.

The target on which the FROG.PRO brand focuses its attention is to allow the operator to finally decide what to carry, where, in what quantity and with which retention system, without any hindrance due to pre-set solutions: the only limit it is the imagination.

The full configurability and versatility of the R+ MRTB SAR Kit make it a perfect platform to be used on the field.

Last but not least some details: just a little more than 1 kg of weight, slick design, easy washing thanks to the technical fabrics and a high degree of visibility given by the bright colors widely used in the sector and guaranteed, even in low light conditions, from the Reflex fabric with Class1 retro-reflective characteristics.

A perfectly awesome organization of the equipment.

US Army Releases Information Paper on Multi-Domain Transformation

Friday, April 9th, 2021

WASHINGTON — Today the U.S. Army released “Army Multi-Domain Transformation: Ready to Win in Competition and Conflict,” a paper on how and why the Army plans to transform itself to become a multi-domain capable force that is able to dominate adversaries in sustained large-scale combat operations by 2035.

“The Army is boldly transforming to provide the Joint Force with the speed, range and convergence of cutting-edge technologies that will be needed to provide future decision dominance and overmatch for great power competition,” said Gen. James McConville, Chief of Staff of the Army.

The U.S. Army currently faces an inflection point that requires innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship in the application of combat power as our nation’s adversaries continue to gain on the Joint Force’s qualitative and quantitative advantages.

By 2035, the Army will enable the Joint Force to maneuver and prevail with a calibrated force posture of multi-domain capabilities that provide overmatch through speed and range at the point of need.

To deter future aggression, the Joint Force must have an irrefutable, demonstrated ability to fight and win. The Army’s MDO concept will provide Joint Force commanders and national policymakers additional credible options in case of a globally integrated, rapidly developing crisis, while simultaneously assuring our allies and partners.
