DSEI – Platatac Jungle Ensemble

Platatac showed their Jungle Uniform consisting of GBH-J hat, Jungle “Kurtz” Shirt and Jungle Dax Pants, all manufactures from lightweight Apocalypse fabric in the MultiCam print.

The Hat features mesh panels. The Shirt incorporates five pockets with lanyard points, including a compass pocket at the chest. The Pants have a drawstring waist, and mesh lined large hip pockets.

Interestingly, the display also included the new Danner Jungle Boot, recently selected by the US Marine Corps. In addition to the rough out leather and nylon uppers, these unlined. Boots incorporate a Panama-style sole.

Propel developed Electronically Enabled Textiles with Integrated Sensor Systems for a US Navy Small Business Innovative Research Project to create wearable garments with embedded to monitor life signs of Navy SEALs while using submersibles.

What makes their technology different from others on the market is that they actually knit the sensors and cabling into the garment, unlike others who sew the sensors and cabling into the garments. Propel’s solution is more comfortable, durable and washable.

DSEI 19 – Sur-Ron High Performance Electric Bike

Polaris displayed the Sur-Ron High Performance Electric Bike, mounted to a DAGOR vehicle.

The E-Bike weighs 7 kg and offers 8.5N.m torque for a top speed of 73 km/h with a battery life of 2.5-3.5 hours.

The Polaris DAGOR is one of the vehicles competing for the US Army’s Infantry Squad Vehicle Program.

SPARTANAT: New Camo … WASP II Z3a by PHANTOMLEAF

PHANTOMLEAF from Germany is not new as a company, but this is the first camouflage pattern available in civilian use. Otherwise they work with authorities and provide them with specialized camouflage solutions. But together with Leo Koehler the first uniform has landed in PHANTOMLEAF.

Close-up of WASP II Z3a pattern: This is quite green and has many spots and color gradations into dark brown. In the picture you can also see the  PHANTOMLEAF logo. The company produces camouflage patterns, all of which have so far been reserved for the authorities.

WASP II Z3a makes  PHANTOMLEAF available on the civil market for the first time. Therefore the logo is marked here also with “CIV”. The manufacturer comments: “We consistently use medical, psychiatric and neuropsychological expertise to optimally influence the complex interaction of measurable data and data processing.
