BAE Systems – TracIR Software Available Now for IR Systems

Last year, BAE Systems announced the TracIR software solution which integrates their OASYS line of IR sensors with Wilcox Industries‘ RAPTAR-S to provide the marksman with range to target, windage and elevation, 100 yard zero, and a ballistically-solved hold over. Now this “disturbed reticle” technology is ready for order. The TracIR software is not only available as an option for new systems, but can applied as an upgrade existing devices. It’s as simple as using the data cable which is also,used to connect the RAPTAR-S to the OASYS line of IR sights. This means a affordable, seamless transition for current customers. With this implementation, BAE Systems has lived up to their goal of making TracIR easy to find, buy, and use.

EOTech Refund Update
January 15th, 2016We got an update from a reader on the status of his EOTech refund. In fact, several readers have received the same email. Many have complained that L-3 Communications has remained mum after they returned their sights so this is a good sign. He says that he shipped his optic back to EOTech on December 9th. However, we still have no reports of anyone actually receiving a refund but please notice that the email says “check” which denotes an actual refund and not a gift certificate or store credit as many have claimed online.

The Velocity Systems Enhanced Variable Width Riggers Belt solves the issue of having to wear both a trouser belt, and then another riggers belt through a battle belt on top of that. When used with our Operator Utility Belt, this belt can be used as a single belt to both keep your pants up, and don a Utility Belt. The Variable Width Riggers Belt is a 1.5″ Riggers Belt that is woven down to 1″ at the buckle so it fits through any trouser belt loops. FirstSpear Friday Focus – Discrete Operations Vest (DOV)

For this week’s Friday Focus, we’re taking a look at the Discrete Operations Vest. Extremely light weight and low volume, the FS Discrete Operations Vest, or DOV, is built as modular augmentation to products like the NOC or the Slick, and it can be used on its own as well.
The DOV features stretch hooks which seamlessly integrate onto the FS Line 1 Belt, as well as elastic loops above the stretch hooks that the Line 1 belt can be fed through.
The DOV is adjustable via a rear mounted high-stretch cummerbund. Wide elastic shoulder straps offer comfort and a stable opposed fit with the front. The two front panels of the DOV are designed to accept the range of FS Ragnar Pockets. Additionally, the DOV features positions tabs which facilitate the management of PTTís, Cable and spoon deployed ordnance as well as antennae management.
