T.REX ARMS Releases New Active Retention Holster

The?Titan?combines a precision-formed Kydex shell with a rugged housing and robust locking mechanism that can be released quickly and easily, so that the weapon can be securely retained, but also rapidly deployed.

Every ergonomic detail is shaped to support a natural, uninterrupted draw and solid firing grip from the first touch. The ability to release the weapon even when pulling or twisting the gun at the wrong angle, drawing the gun before hitting the button, or any other things that may happen under stress and duress. The duty 0.125″ Kydex shell provides adjustable passive retention on the weapon or light, and many points of contact regardless of the locking mechanism. This ensures a rattle-free slim holster with wide support for Glock, Sig, S&W, Walther, Staccato, and more pistols, Streamlight and Surefire lights.

The Titan will also accommodate all optics up to and including the Trijicon SRO with armor, and it includes an optional and removable optic shroud designed to protect your red dot from large debris. The shroud opens automatically during the draw stroke, and when reholstering with most optics.  

All parts of this holster are available in multiple colors, and it is best paired with the T.REX LINK belt mount, which gives it perfect compatibility with our thigh strap for extra stability. Every metal fastener on the device is made of stainless steel, and every moving part is glass-filled nylon, so there are no rust or corrosion issues that could cause jamming or binding. The ejection port lock, spring, and button are all part of a single component, reducing complexity. This holster has the fewest parts of any locking holster on the market, making it lighter without compromising strength.

Forging the Arsenal of Freedom: Department of War Suspends CMMC Phase II Requirements

The Department of War today announces the immediate suspension of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Phase II requirements, which were originally scheduled to come into effect on November 10, 2026. All Phase I self-assessment requirements remain firmly in place. Additionally, the Department will begin a comprehensive review of CMMC aimed at aligning with Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s Acquisition Transformation System (ATS) directives prioritizing speed to capability, lowering barriers for small, medium, and non-traditional businesses, and replacing bureaucratic compliance with scalable, resilient cybersecurity measures.

Ensuring access to leading-edge commercial capabilities is a critical driver powering the Secretary of War’s operational execution for the “Arsenal of Freedom”. While the current CMMC program was designed to enhance DIB cybersecurity, instead it has created prohibitive compliance costs and bureaucratic burdens. Recent data, including reports from the Small Business Administration (SBA), confirmed that CMMC compliance is forcing innovative companies out of the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) which will delay the delivery of critical capabilities to the warfighters.

“In support of Secretary Pete Hegseth’s directive to reduce compliance barriers for small and medium sized businesses, we are today suspending the CMMC Phase II requirements and initiating a 60-day study of the future of this program,” said DoW Chief Information Officer Kirsten A. Davies. “Robust cybersecurity and operational resilience remain critical to protecting American innovation and supporting warfighter readiness. We believe the DIB can achieve both, while we reduce unnecessary government red tape.”

Effective immediately, the Department will suspend the transition to Phase II requirements of CMMC, as well as pending and future CMMC implementation milestones across the Department of War solicitations and contracts.

“We have a strategic imperative to reduce bureaucracy as we build the world’s strongest Arsenal of Freedom. The CIO’s decision ensures we maintain a strict security baseline while removing paralyzing costs and keeping innovators and competition growing in the defense supply chain,” said Hon. Michael Duffey, Under Secretary of War for Acquisition and Sustainment.

To realign our cybersecurity posture with the principles of the ATS, the Department CIO is establishing a CMMC Reform Task Force to conduct a comprehensive top-to-bottom review of the certification program. This task force will serve as the central hub for synthesizing industry feedback from our public Request for Information (RFI) regarding compliance challenges. Using these insights, the team will recommend realistic, scalable security measures that prioritize speed to capability and lower barriers for small and non-traditional businesses, delivering their final report to the DoW CIO within 60 days.

During this interim period, the Department will enforce cybersecurity compliance with the NIST SP 800-171 Rev 2 standard through self-assessments and select government-led assessments, focusing on tangible cyber hygiene rather than administrative overhead.

It is critical to note that this action does not eliminate the requirement for companies to protect federal data. All defense contractors and subcontractors remain contractually obligated to safeguard covered defense information in accordance with DFARS clause 252.204-7012.

Ghostworks Unveils MRLN, the Multirole Remote Littoral Node

Developed with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. and Mercury Marine, MRLN enables Ghostworks’ M-Hull and powercat vessels to perform multiple missions from a single platform, without trading off speed, range, or payload.

CARLISLE, PA — July 14, 2026 — At the 2026 Pennsylvania Defense and Innovation Summit, hosted by U.S. Senator Dave McCormick at the U.S. Army War College, Ghostworks today unveiled MRLN (Multirole Remote Littoral Node), a remote-pilot autonomy system that equips a single vessel to take on multiple mission types under human-in-the-loop command and control. MRLN is not a vessel; it is the mission systems layer that deploys across Ghostworks’ proprietary M-Hull and powercat hull forms, turning each vessel into a multirole platform.

Minerva, Ghostworks’ 40-foot carbon fiber M-Hull, under way. Minerva carries MRLN, the Multirole Remote Logistics Node, a remote-pilot autonomy system developed with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems and Mercury Marine and unveiled July 14 at the 2026 Pennsylvania Defense and Innovation Summit.

MRLN was developed with three partners, each contributing a core piece of the system:

  • Ghostworks designed, engineered, and built a 40′ carbon fiber Minerva-class M-Hull, with speed, range, and payload currently unrivaled in the industry.
  • General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) brought decades of autonomy and sensor experience from remotely piloted aircraft and adapted it to the maritime domain.
  • Mercury Marine contributed its drive-by-wire propulsion technology and Command Gateway product, giving MRLN the endurance to transit contested and congested environments and to maintain station for extended periods in demanding conditions.

Command of the iron triangle: the long-standing tradeoff between speed, range, and payload has quietly dictated naval procurement for a generation. Rather than optimizing for one at the expense of the others, Ghostworks designs its vessels to maximize performance across all three metrics. Ghostworks’ Minerva-class vessel can carry 17,500 lbs at a cruise speed of 30 knots and handles sea state 4. Minerva is the first to employ MRLN, allowing operators to control the craft remotely, mission to mission, whether delivering fuel to an isolated craft, carrying a high-value load, or racing to conduct a rescue. Deployed across Ghostworks’ proprietary hull forms, MRLN provides granular control over that performance tradeoff for the first time.

MRLN pairs its modular, subsystem-agnostic architecture with a proven, serious payload capacity. The system is human-in-the-loop: a human operator retains situational awareness even as the vessel runs autonomously and can take control of the craft at any time. Operators can reconfigure mission profiles in the field, giving commanders a platform that adapts to the fight instead of forcing the fight to adapt to the platform. That freedom is the point. Milestone 3: U.S. Bonding Equipment Delivered and Installed

Kopin has received and begun installation of its new MicroLED bonding equipment, a key asset supporting the IBAS program and Kopin’s broader effort to onshore critical MicroLED manufacturing processes. The equipment shipped in June and is scheduled to be fully installed by the end of July at Kopin’s U.S. headquarters.

This advanced bonding system enables the precise attachment of the backplane to the MicroLED array, creating a fully bonded display assembly—an essential step in MicroLED production.
